This place… Fields weird? The trip to Crocus quite a smooth one thanks to the aid of Altair, after leaving him to his own devices in the wilds that surrounded the capital city, Aisha Connors had made a beeline for the university in the hopes of tracking down the mysterious name that she hoped might put her on the trail of her mentor. Dressing well at such a prodigious locale, while the pack she carried had a few more relaxed items in case she fancied doing something a little more energetic, though the mocha madam’s honed flesh was hidden by the combination of a black turtleneck and navy pants that she wore, her slim frame was highlighted by the slim cut of the items.

It’s like a gigantic library… I feel like if I talk too loudly, someone’s gonna give me a pointed ‘shush’? The narrow waist that she possessed and the manner in which her bust and hips flared out from it especially visible in her choice of wardrobe, despite the subtle grace and hint of formality that she had chosen to present herself with, Aisha couldn’t help but feel a little out of her element in a place like this. All the learning she had received coming from family and friends, in her native land the Desiertian delight had been taught to read and write by her parents, then in this country it had been Jack and a few more academically inclined members of Fairy Tail that had given her the basic level of education that she could claim. More a woman of action and that true throughout her life, the amber amazon couldn’t help but feel somewhat discomforted by such a studious environment, feeling rather out of place as she waited on the person she had come here to seek.

So, a Minstreli Rune Expert…?  Perhaps blessed with a sense of good luck due to the fact that when she had reached the front desk to this old institution they had told her the woman was still here, though the role of Professor of Runeology was not a surprise for the bronze beauty to learn given the circumstance through which she was introduced to the work of this stranger, she still couldn’t help but find herself a little astounded all the same. This no disrespect to the woman involved of course, whose prose and ability to translate runes certainly implied a strong level of education and ability in the opinion of Aisha, what was most amazing was the fact that her scruffy, frequently wandering mentor had managed to bag such a lofty prize. There seemed to be more to him than met the eye, then?

Well, at least you’re not adverse to a little class, Jack… In her experience the beauties that her mentor tended to gravitate toward more the bawdy sort, the sense of sophistication that seemed to be oozed by the profession and nationality of Genevieve Lucienne had bowled Miss Connors over somewhat, especially given the rock nature of the man who raised. Jack charming in his way and capable of talking his way into the hearts and other locales of a lady when he wanted to, in an odd way it felt like a woman who was a tenured professor at a university that many regarded as the country’s best was ‘above’ such things, meaning that the supposed conquest and the naughty little things that she had written in the note seemed quite the prize, really, and something worthy of respect in and odd little way…

It’s probably kind of a long shot… Hitting up some woman who Jack probably hasn’t seen in years? Left waiting in halls that were lined with stone and marble as whatever lecture or other task of the lady who was once Jack’s lover finished up, Aisha let out a slow and subtle sigh as she tried to calm the feeling of anxiety she felt about being here. Unsure of how much of her nervousness was born in regard to the discomfort she felt in an educational environment and how much revolved around her reason for being here, the amber amazon would be lying if she claimed that she was lacking for apprehension about the outcome of her visit.

Though I suppose if his disappearance does have something to do with mystical means, maybe she will know something about it? Maybe he came to see her again before he left? This the first new clue that she had discovered about the past and possible future of her mentor, the young woman had a lot riding on the hope that was instilled in this little hint she had found, and knew that she would be right back to square one if it came to nothing and couldn’t help but feel a bit of worry because of that prospect. However, before she became too lost in her woes, the young woman found herself distracted by the sound of a door clicking.

Here we go… The nerves of the lightning lass likely the reason that she practically jumped into the air when the door to Professor Lucienne’s classroom swung open, after steadying herself with a breath the amber eyes of the amazon waited expectantly for a sign of someone who was a stranger to her, but thankfully she had a rough idea of what she looked like. The people at the desk nice enough to at least show Miss Connors what her target looked like thanks to the directory of the faculty they had, as people in robes passed through the doorway the mocha madam waited with her breath as baited as it possibly could be for a sign of Genevieve, her pulse quickening as the anticipation got the better of her.

That’s… Damn! Waiting there as all sorts of faces passed her by, some of them seeming to share her gaze for a moment or two before looking away, the patience of the mocha madam paid dividends for her as a figure in a smart suit finally passed out of the doorway in a manner that commanded an air of grace and sophistication, as one might expect from a proud minstreli woman. And what a woman she was.
I should have gone to school…! Aisha only able to gape for a moment or two as the woman she had sought stepped out of the classroom in mid conversation, the amber eyes of the amazon widened as she looked at the image of someone beautiful enough to make even this down to earth Desiertian feel her cheeks warm with a hint of attraction, her jaw simply hanging as she took in a person so picturesque that she was stunned into silence merely by her presence…

The bronze beauty blinking in disbelief as the woman she sought strolled out of the classroom right in front of her engaged in a conversation with a person who Aisha had to assume was a student, though she had seen a quick snap of the woman she was looking for in the directory at the front desk, now that she was confronted with the Professor of Runeology in the flesh she had to notice that the image simply did not do the loveliness of this lady any form of justice. Glamorous and stylish without ever seeming to be lacking for seriousness or sophistication, Genevieve wore a black suit that seemed to simply ooze a sense of grace and femininity in the way that the hems and cuffs of her jacket showed lavish lace trims that looked rather chic despite the seriousness of her garb.

“You really shouldn’t be toying with zeese ancient incantation so much, Eeveleen, regardless of your interest in zee lost magics…”

Silver haired styled to one side in a fashion that made it look fashionably flamboyant whilst clearly carrying a sense of maturity about it, the locks of Miss Lucienne looked like polished pewter and carried a feathered quality that made them sway just the slightest amount as she took her purposeful and graceful steps. This only the window dressing however for the truly captivating features of her face, dark eyes that looked sharp enough the puncture one’s heart with a single glance were surrounded by slender and slightly pointed lines which loaned the mild image of a bird of prey, which did not detract from their loveliness one little bit. And then there was the way she spoke.

“It is not zat I don’t admire your zeal, of course.
But even some sing as simple as a translation error can be a big problem in zee wrong circumstances.
Regardless of your intent, things could get out of control quickly wiz something as simple as a misread word, and zen we might all find ourselves in a world of ‘urt, no?”

The Minstreli origin of this magnificent and mature beauty as plain as day in the way in which the woman formed her words, the tone of voice of this alluring academic was like a husky purr, as if her words were a slow and seductive rumble that one couldn’t help but yield to. Casting a hypnotic effect even as she gave out cautions, one would be a fool not to pay heed to that exotic and honey sweet voice, and Miss Connors couldn’t help but find herself spellbound into silence by it as she shuffled along after the woman and her student, feeling it would be almost a shame to interrupt this treat for the senses despite the urgency she felt in her request.

She sounds like… Those dancing girls I helped out in Hargeon~? Reminded of one or two mischievous madams from one or two wicked little locales she had visited in her travels because of that combination of tempting timbre and exotic phraseology, the amber amazon hung on every word and almost allowed herself become completely mesmerized by this magnificent mistress of education, following her fellow femmes in a daze as she tailed them through the university with a subtle blush, suddenly feeling rather shy indeed. Certainly understanding the level of interest that Jack had shown in this woman and finding that her attraction to this commanding educator was only strengthened by the lurid details in the letter that had been sent to her mentor, Aisha couldn’t help but feel a hint of envy toward the man for having won the affection of a woman as fine as this, and wonder at the fact he had given her up…

“Miss… I mean, Professor Lucienne?” Spellbound by the seductress of the sloped vowel for more than a short space of seconds as she followed the woman and her student through the hallways, eventually Miss Connors couldn’t help but raise her voice, albeit in a slightly hesitant fashion to which she was not usually accustomed. Needs winning out ultimately and the reluctance of the girl to speak waning gradually, perhaps part of the equation was a longing to hear that wonderful vocal treat sent in her own direction which coerced the caramel observer to break her silence, but all the same she found those crisp eyes looking at her all too soon with a sense of confusion as clear as day in them.

“Oh, uhm, ‘Allo~? Can I… ‘Elp you~?”

The woman in front of her clearly quite surprised by the interruption, perhaps she hadn’t been aware of the fact that she had been followed by Aisha for a while now, but regardless of the way she had been startled there seemed at the very least a sense of polite friendliness in the voice of the vixen that made it sound like the response of Genevieve was worth waiting for. Why ever had Jack given up a treat like this? It was sheer madness.

“I uh, yes, I hope so, professor~” Oddly stiff in her response though perhaps some of the intimidation that Miss Connors felt toward this siren of a scholar perhaps sourced from the details she could remember in that letter that had led her to the lady, as those almost crimson coloured eyes met her own amber irises, the amazon couldn’t help but feel her cheeks growing a little warmer because of it. Heart pounding more heavily than she would expect from meeting a pretty girl, despite that Aisha tried to stand up for herself and not surrender to the urge to simply swoon over the woman she saw, ignoring the thoughts that connected to the naughty note and focus on the task at hand. However, it seemed her ‘partner’ was about to allow that too easily.

“Oh~? And ‘oo might you be?
I sink I would remember such a lovely little sign of ‘orus if you were a student of mine~”

Initially stunned by the presence of someone she didn’t know but something about Miss Connors catching the attention of the academic in the sweetest fashion, the expression of surprise and confusion that she wore quickly softened into something far more sublime. A smile spreading across the sharp features of the Minstreli mistress as she leaned closer to the lightning lass looked toward the face of the mocha madam, the appraising gaze of Genevieve seemed to focus on the amber eyes of the amazon as she analysed the imagery that decorated one of them, impressing the fairy femme in the process as she correctly identified symbol in all of an instant, but that wasn’t all. Left rather hot under the collar from the intensity of the stare she received, though Aisha was trying resist the charms of this woman as best she could so she could focus on the task she was given, as everything but that pretty face and scarlet tinted stare filled her eye line it was getting harder and harder to do so.

“My… Name is Aisha. I’m uh… a mage of Fairy Tail?” Lifting her hands up and peeling her silky black hair backward to tuck it behind her ears, Aisha let out a short sigh before she introduced herself, finding she was a little unsure of what to call herself. This woman a friend of the man who raised her, for all intents and purposes the Desiertian was the closest thing that her mentor had to a daughter, and yet she still didn’t wish to identify herself as such. This not an indictment of the job he had done in raising her or a reflection of a lacking sense of affection but rather the opposite, despite the fact that the mocha madam had tried to shake of the sense of attraction she had to Jack, yet she found she couldn’t, and because of that she felt weird seeing him as a father.

“I see, I see. Zen what is it zat I can do for a mage of Fairy Tail?”

The professor seeming to not mind the odd manner in which she introduced herself at least, although Miss Connors did spot the way that her smile seemed to fade away a little bit at the mention of her guild, this wasn’t really something that worried her that much. Fairy Tail a prominent and powerful establishment in the Fiorian region, despite their good nature, they had a kind of infamy that one might have expected more from a dark organization. It was unfortunate, but something that a ten year veteran was used to by now, so it didn’t really ‘flag’ for the dishy Desiertian as anything unusual by this point.

“Well, uh… You see, the thing is…” Welcomed to ask for what she wanted by Miss Lucienne and yet Aisha still feeling a little bit awkward about how she voiced her concern, it felt an odd thing to mention to a woman with this kind of esteem that she had found out about her though the means of a rather racy love letter, especially when she was stood there with an impressionable student by her who seemed to linger for reasons that the amber amazon did not quite comprehend.

“I think I know a friend of yours?” Electing to be a little diplomatic in her approach in order to keep herself in the good graces of this gorgeous teacher, though the bronze beauty might have made a little crack about the carnal elements of the connection if she was dealing with a guild mate or a rough character in a bar, the caramel lass tried to keep things as classy as possible in order to keep the situation as bearable as she could.

“I’m looking for Jack Connors?” Thankful to at least find that the woman she spoke to was agreeable enough that the intimidation she felt toward this elegant and enchanting educator, after letting loose another sigh to steady herself and then taking a deep breath Miss Connors opted to roll her proverbial dice with the woman, spelling out her reason for being here clearly and the man she sought in the hopes of finding something that helped her.
“He’s gone missing and… I’m wondering if you had heard from him recently?” Scratching the back of her head gently as she felt suddenly quite childish for the fact that she needed help finding her lost ‘papa’, though the huntress was hopeful that she might find some sort of hint at where the man she searched for, she wasn’t terribly high in her optimism. It worth the chance of course but tempering her expectation as she waited for Genevieve’s response, while she was expecting disappointing more than anything, what she actually found the femme offering was something she had never expected in a million years.

“Jacques Connors…?”

Worrying for a moment or two that she had only whispered or somehow slurred the request that she had made, it was only when Genevieve seemed to repeat the name of Miss Connors’ mentor that the mocha marvel actually realized the fact that she had spoken loudly enough for the professor to hear. The silver haired woman simply standing there for several seconds with her eyelids flapping like the wings of a butterfly, it was as if everything within the woman had suddenly ground to halt like her inner mechanisms had been jammed by a problematic iron bar or something. Which, in reflection, probably wasn’t far from the truth…

“Yes, I knew ‘im, and if you did too you would know why I say wiz pride zat I ‘ave not seen ‘im in years…”

Something about the woman seeming to change in an instant the very second that her system seemed to reboot, all too quickly that smile she was carrying seemed to melt away from her expression and leave only the sharpness of her features in its place, while those red eyes glowed with fire that seemed want to burn everything in front of them.

“W-Wait, what?” Aisha definitely confused by the change that she saw in Miss Lucienne and all the more by the words that she spoke, given the level of amorous affection that this formerly friendly femme had shown in the letter that she had sent to Jack, the change in her attitude was rather startling.
She’s turned on a dime! Gone from sweet siren to ice queen? The woman before her suddenly losing that kittenish element and sense of charm that she had seemed to ooze in droves and instead becoming frosty with every impression she gave out, the girl from the desert practically shivered at the coldness of the woman’s words and felt plenty of venom behind them as well.

“You ‘erd me. I wish to ‘ave nussing to do with a man like zat, or anyone ‘oo ‘ee calls ‘is friend.”

Truly a frightening turn seen in the woman, there seemed nothing of the professor that was talking to the mocha marvel so warmly and even a little flirtatiously only a moment before, the shepherd who had been guiding her student seeming to have been slain by whatever affected Genevieve and a bitter bitch left in her place.
“I’m, uh… Sorry? I just…” Stunned by the sudden change that she saw in a person who had once been so elegant and affable, all that Miss Connors could do now was spit out a confused apology as she tried to make sense of what had happened between them.

“I don’t even…?” Thoroughly bewildered by what had occurred and certainly suspecting that she did not have the full story about what had occurred between Jack and the frosty femme in front of her, though the caramel girl was fearless even in the face of the fiercest foes, she couldn’t help but feel rather overwhelmed and intimidated as she found herself being looked at like some kind of animal suddenly. It not a comfortable experience, not it was the turn of the amber amazon to find her ‘system’ stupendously stalled as she simply wagged her jaw up and down without a clue what to say, simply looking between the face of the educator and the student who stood next to her in sheer disbelief at how things had turned out.

“Just ‘ow was it zat you managed to find me, anyway?”

Unsure exactly of how long she had been standing there in her shell shocked state when eventually the sound of an irritated Genevieve roused her from her stupor, Miss Connors blinked as the woman looked toward her with a growing bulge of annoyance in her forehead, wondering if she was being asked a question simply to break the silence or for some greater reason.

“I… Well I found this scroll and then this note and it had your address on…?” Some combination of inherent integrity in the girl and perhaps a dash of wanting to appease this now so hostile figure prompting Aisha to answer the query as honestly as she could, almost as if she was talking to a parent or boss at work, the amber amazon reached into the bag she had brought with her for some form of evidence to clarify her story. Plucking the scroll that had started the whole thing off from her belongings and the letter that it had led her to, the latter of which was tucked discreetly into the pink envelope that Miss Lucienne had previously sent it in, the bronze and bewildered beauty held each out in her hands as if they might prove she hadn’t simply come here with the intent of annoying the professor…

“I ‘elp ‘im wiz one job years ago and ‘ee ‘aunts my steps forever…”

The fingers of the frosty femme like talons that seized up what Miss Connors tried to offer to her, after taking the scroll and looking at it the proverbial really hit the fan when Genevieve looked at the envelope that she was clearly quite familiar with, the Desiertian spotted that sense of recognition in her eye before something far stronger seemed to burst from her gaze like flames. The coolness of her attitude suddenly evaporating as the ice queen suddenly became a red hot empress, the red eyes of the woman bulged as she looked at the letter more closely and confirmed that it was one of hers, but that wasn’t all.

“I wish zat I ‘ad never seen zoze runes before, and ‘im even less!”

A bright shade of scarlet spreading across the face of Miss Lucienne as she glared at the letter and then to the face of Aisha with a ferocity that actually made even this hardened warrior woman flinch, with a huff and no shortage of fury vented in her words the professor swung her arm and threw the scroll that she had snatched behind her. Luckily for the mocha madam the girl at the side of the professor seeming polite enough at least to scurry off after the ancient text to ensure it did not become damaged by the feet of the other or lost, though the tall girl might have ordinarily gone to retrieve it herself after giving the tempestuous teacher in front of her a piece of her mind for the rudeness, the feeling of responsibility she felt rooted her in place, leaving her standing there bearing the weight of guilt of another and right in the firing line of this suddenly fiery femme.

Jack, just… What did you do to this woman?! Clearly the man that she so admired not short of a few stains of blackness upon his character after this encounter, given how connected that she was to the man and the fact that she had seemingly reminded Genevieve of the hurt she had been caused by him, Miss Connors couldn’t help but feel somewhat culpable in the crime. Shattering the image of this professor in front of her and seeming to cause her no end of hurt, the distraught Desiertian couldn’t help but wonder what had occurred between the pair, though guessed it was something pretty bad given the severity of the reaction. The response of the professor rather heated but understandable, if she had to guess, the mocha madam would expect it had something to do with heartbreak.

“If it isn’t bad enough I catch ‘im in my bed wiz sinese twins on my birzday, now ‘ee is sending ‘is latest fancy to taunt me…”

The riled runeologist shaking her head in front of Aisha as she gave the girl a shocking little insight into what had gone wrong between her and the mentor she so respected, though the dismayed Desiertian was already feeling rather humbled and humiliated by Miss Lucienne, she seemed to spare little concern for the feelings of the flushed femme as she vented her frustration.

“Did you ‘ave a good laugh what I wrote for ‘im? Zen at ze way zat I blushed?! I ‘ope zat it made your trip worthwhile!”

Tucking the letter that the mocha madam had brought from the personal collection of her guardian into the pocket within the stylish jacket she was wearing presumably with the intent of ensuring it would never see the light of day or at least the eyes of another again, with a flick of her head the enraged educator jabbed a well-manicured digit in the direction of Miss Connors, prodding at the air between them with her finger whilst her tongue showed far more sharpness. Clearly our heroine not the only one who this conversation had left feeling rather raw, Genevieve seemed happy to spit out the poison that had seeped into her because of the encounter and send it straight into the face of the largely innocent girl who had the misfortune of bringing the issue to her…

“N-No, I didn’t… I would never…” Aisha seeming to be the punching bag of the professor in the stead of the man who had broken her heart, it stung the girl that even a stranger would see her in the fashion that Miss Lucienne now seemed to, flinching with every word as she was rebuked and trying to defend herself as best she could. Naturally he meek answers she could offer seeming so weak when compared to the hurt that seemed to be flowing out of this fiery femme, all that the amber amazon could do was shuffle nervously and wish that she had something in her head that she could say to make that pain go away, but she knew that she didn’t.

“I just want to… No, I need to find him!” Sighing gently as she tried to justify herself by reaffirming her purpose here in the hopes of convincing the woman that at the very least she wasn’t here to torture her, Miss Connors shook her head and looked into the eyes of Genevieve as she searched for some common humanity or compassion the woman might have to help them connect even a little bit, but it seemed that right now that was beyond the professor.

“Zen you are a bigger fool zan even ‘ee is.

All that was apparent in the eyes of the Minstreli mistress was fury and a lingering sense of distrust, despite the pleading manner in which the desperate Desiertian looked and spoke to her, all that the teacher seemed to wish to offer in return was a sense of ice cold rage. Gritting her teeth as she waved off the idea of helping with the problem and all too soon sent marching down the corridor in steps that sounded like she was trying to stab the ground beneath her on the tall heels she wore, Miss Lucienne departed the company of the stunned campus visitor, leaving Aisha rather flustered and no closer to the goal she sought…

“Wow, that was pretty intense, wasn’t it?”

The amber eyes of the amazon watching the woman whose day had just been ruined walk away in some vain hope that she might turn around and through some miracle find a way to overlook what had been happened between them, after several seconds a voice to the side of Miss Connors suddenly spoke up in a manner that surprised her, for one reason or another. The intensity of the moment that she had shared with Genevieve almost making the mocha marvel forget that someone had been standing with her, with the lids of her eyes fluttering the flustered femme turned around to see a smirk on the face of the student near her, who seemed amused by the way that things had turned out.

“I’ve never seen stuffy old Lucienne go off like that, you must have really pissed her off!”

The smiling student seeming to definitely be the scruffy sort, while Aisha had spared her little attention on account of how focused she had been on talking to the professor that accompanied her, now that it was just the two of them she couldn’t help but scrutinize the sloppiness of this stranger’s appearance. A bird’s nest of black locks sitting atop the head of the girl and hanging down loosely over the shoulders of this spirited schoolgirl, much of her face was hidden by thick, round lenses that reflected the light so well that they looked a little like lamps at the centre of her head, while her clothing was casual and conservative. A deep shade of purple the tone of the woolly sweater she wore and a dark pair of boyish looking pants covering her bottom half, the girl wore the white robe of her scholarly endeavours over these, but even this was sported in a loose and slovenly fashion that completed that “Doesn’t give a fuck” appearance perfectly…

“Oh, um… T-Thanks, I think?” For her part Miss Connors not exactly sure why this stranger spoke to her but appreciative of the attention she received as it distracted her from the disaster that had just happened, while she wasn’t convinced of the fact that she was being complimented by this odd girl for what had just occurred, the bronze beauty shrugged softly and accepted the praise on the off chance all the same. This inquisitive individual pleasant enough or at least seeming that way, the lightning lass didn’t even mind the laziness of her appearance really, finding it a bit of a fresh air when compared to their rather stiff surroundings really, and something that made her feel a bit more at home as well.

“Heheheheh, so this scroll of yours… Looks pretty interesting you know?”

Not even noticing the way that this new woman in her life was gripping the scroll she had brought with her until the strange girl brought it to her attention, while she had seemed relatively friendly in the unconventional greeting that she had given, all too easily Aisha spotted the increase in her energy when she turned her attention to the subject matter in front of her.

“Some very interesting little runeys here… Did you want her to help you with them?”

The glasses that the so far nameless young woman wore seeming to show far greater clarity when she turned her attention to the sheet of symbols in her hand, Miss Connors got her first view of the eyes of the eager student as she did so and could see them filled with fire as she gazed at the gibberish before her. It a familiar sight really but one that the mocha madam more associated with people who wanted to challenge themselves with a big workout or go up against a tough looking enemy, it was cute in a way really, and made the girl from the desert arch her brow in amusement to behold…

“Uhhhhh, that wasn’t really why I came, to be honest?” Lifting her fingers up and swiping her silky black locks behind her ear as she answered the question of the odd but endearing girl she had met, Miss Connors frowned a little as she found an expecting gaze sent her way, or at least that was what she presumed as those lenses shone with light again as they looked toward her. Not having expected someone to show such interest in something that to her was practically a prop, while on some level the lightning lass had a sense of curiosity about what this ancient scroll and the runes upon it were all about, it hadn’t really been something she had aimed for or really even considered when coming here.

“What? But these things are so interesting! Even I’m not exactly sure what they are!
I mean, obviously I have a hunch or two but I’d need to look at my books?
And besides, whoever made a start on them has revealed some pretty interesting words, wouldn’t you say?”

The young woman she looked at showing a much stronger interest in the subject however, from the looks of things the strange student was eager to get to the bottom of the issue, appearing a little like a child who had just been handed a new toy that they didn’t quite know how to use but were keen on finding out all too soon.

“I uh, I suppose?” It an oddly cute trait to behold really, while Aisha was feeling the stink of frustration at running into the same old brick wall in her search for Jack, she couldn’t help but find the enthusiasm of this stranger somewhat infectious. Left a little bit confused by why one would find the promise of some academic task so thrilling, the bronze beauty had to liken the excitement that she saw to how she felt herself when she decided to push her body really hard in a workout or something of that sort, and on some level could connect with the girl on the issue despite the dubious circumstances with which they had been brought together.

That’s… Quite an unusual perfume? Leaning forward as the dark haired damsel spun around and showed her the item again via a view over her shoulder, a fragrance that seemed equal parts flowery and fiery filled the nose of Miss Connors as she hung stood close to this runic enthusiast, intriguing the Desiertian a little because of the resemblance to certain forms of incense and also how unusual a thing it was to smell on a girl. Ignoring it for the most part however as she moved a little closer to her so far unnamed friend and looked at the scroll in more detail, the frown of the foreign femme became a little more prominent as she peered over the shoulder of the student and studied features that she had seen before.

Demon… Battle… Once again finding the notes that had been added by the tumultuous teacher catching her eye and repeating the same things she had spotted upon her first sighting of her scroll as she took them in, while initially she had largely been humouring the strangely interested student, Aisha couldn’t help but feel her interest escalating now that she was focused on the object as it was. Certainly an unusual thing like nothing she had ever seen before, perhaps because it was something that belonged to Jack the amber amazon found her curiosity rising, coerced by the cute character she had met.

Why did Jack take this, and hide it away? Did he know something about it? There certainly seeming to be some exotic secret to the scroll, which only seemed more likely when one remembered the fact that whatever was recorded in it was important enough to ancient to not only write about but also keep safe for century upon century she presumed, there was definitely a high sense of intrigue that was starting to seize the interest of the bronze beauty…

“Besides, look at the shape of the arrangement… It looks like a magic circle or a seal or something?
Aren’t you curious as to what the whole thing means? It could be something amazing, like a lost magic, or even a sealed demon?”

A sealed demon? Can they put those in scrolls? Certainly the features that the foreign femme had spotted upon the scroll something that this stranger seemed quite interested in as well, some combination of education and imagination seemed to allow the student to interpret what she saw a little bit more deeply, though Miss Connors couldn’t help but feel a little bit suspicious about the suppositions the girl made.
But the scroll itself was Jack’s… I wonder why he was interested in it? He even sought that woman out to help him with it by the sounds of things? Certainly never hearing stories of mystical beings getting trapped within scrolls, while the mocha madam had run into a few cursed relics in her time, sealing monsters in this form was something new to her. However, the item seemed to intrigue Jack at one point, so because of this it seemed important.

“I am a bit, I guess?” Pausing for a few seconds as she thought the issue over and lingered next to the oddly scented student, Aisha nodded as she recognised her interest in this, even if it wasn’t particularly from an academic standpoint. The item that she had brought unintentionally to the learned lass feeling like something she could use to feel connected to her mentor, which felt especially important after how his character had just been damaged by the vengeful vixen who had left them in the minutes before this one.

“Of course! Heeheeheeheeheehee!
With a tasty little genie in the bottle like this looking you in the face, who could ignore it?!”

She has… An odd way with words, doesn’t she? Blinking in surprise as the student in front of her squealed with delight despite the meagre approval she gave, after having gone through such a bitter experience with the professor, Miss Connors couldn’t help but smirk as she saw such an eager and earnest response to her. The glasses girl seeming like rather the odd duck but down to earth in her ways, she had an affable quality about her insistence and excitement that felt refreshing in its own way, and helped to lift the spirits of our heroine after the disaster that had just occurred.

“I suppose no one could resist that allure?” Shaking her head from side to side softly as she caught sight of the lavender irises that sat beneath those thick lenses once more, as the golden baubles within the locks of the lightning lass chimed softly as they rattled against one another, Aisha smiled as she looked at that unguarded enthusiasm and couldn’t help but feel a little charmed by it. Amused by the girl in front of her and steadily starting to relax after the ordeal she had been through, though what she had found in Crocus University wasn’t exactly what she had been looking for, right now that wasn’t seeming like such a bad thing either. It was odd how one searched for one thing and found another, wasn’t it?

“Riiiiiight? Excellent! This is awesome!
Then you’ll come with me then? Let’s look into this puppy and see what it’s all about!
Oooooh, I’m so excited… If Professor Lucienne couldn’t finish it, it’s gotta be a tricky one!”

The scantest amount of interest and approval that Aisha could show in solving the riddle of the scroll seeming enough to cast the animated academic into action, no sooner than had she confessed her mild curiosity over the contents of the item than the Desiertian Delight had found her arm being snatched by a surprisingly strong grip, which towed her through the corridors with maximum haste. The mocha marvel surprised by the gesture for certain but appreciative enough of the distraction that was offered by this dark haired damsel to go with the flow, as she found herself being dragged through the University hallways in a fashion that seemed to make the folk she passed tilt their heads or raise a brow, the young woman couldn’t help but voice her confusion with their course.

“Uh, sure…? Come with you where, though…?” Only having met this educational oddity a few minutes previously and not even knowing what her name was, while this wasn’t the first time that Miss Connors had found herself heading somewhere with a sense of urgency in the company of a fevered student, she was rather unused to such an encounter starting from a place that did not have an apparent source of alcohol. Not particularly fearful of the consequences of course given both the fact that she could sense that this strange lass seemed relatively harmless, it was useful for anyone to know their destination, especially when they were moving toward in a fashion that practically felt like a parade.

“My place, of course! Don’t worry, it isn’t too far~!
…and I’m sure my folks won’t mind putting you up for a day or two while I get a good look at this~”

The issue seeming not to be quite the surprise that it seemed to Aisha when considered by the stranger who led her along a little like a pet, with a chuckle and words that sounded just a little bit patronizing, the amber amazon was clued into her destination. At least in a manner of speaking.

“It could take that long?!” Unable to focus too hard on the vagueness of the directions she was handed by the spirited student as other details of the conversation seemed to distract her, while the bronze beauty didn’t object too highly to the idea of going back to wherever this girl called her home and meeting the people she considered her ‘folks’, the time frame was an issue that brought her a slight sense of worry. Not much of a researcher or student and for some reason assuming that the task wouldn’t take more than a matter of minutes when one had the right source to exchange symbology for the Fiorian equivalents, the Desiertian couldn’t help but feel a little worried by the time frame involved, guessing that her trip to Crocus would have taken at most a day if not less. Unfortunately, it seemed that fate and the femme who towed her along had other ideas, however.

“Oh yeah, these look like tricky bastards and it’s better to a job right than do it fast, isn’t it?”

“Hey, uh…” Resigning herself to her fate and hoping that wherever she might end up might at least have the space for her to work out or something as she waited on this translation, though she still had her arm firmly gripped by the academic next to her, Miss Connors moved along with the woman with slightly more assurance in her gait as the exited the university. However, there was still one thing that seemed to need addressing, quite literally in one way of thinking.

“You never seemed to tell me your name, by the way?” Still something seeming to bother the bronze beauty however, she couldn’t help but feel that something was missing from the conversation they had earlier on, and in this example it was the simple matter of an introduction. Such fervent interest shown by the student that she had quickly become far too interested in the scroll to waste time with something as superfluous as a greeting, it seemed odd and a little amusing to Aisha that she was heading to the house of this spirited lass without first learning what she liked to be called.

“Heh, girls tend to get a certain reputation when they take people back to their place without eve getting their name, you know?” That sense of entertainment seeming to find its way into the way that she spoke to the student who seemed a little confused by her question, now that she was feeling a little more relaxed Miss Connors couldn’t help but make a little joke as she moved along to try and help her point, winking as she did so. However, for all of the effort she put into trying to playfully charm the girl next to her, all the addition seemed to meet with was the student tilting her head slightly.

“Oh, well… I have a reputation for being kind of a weirdo so I’m not sure this will do much damage to that…?
But I suppose you might be right… I’m Eve, Eve Hallows?”

The lass that was apparently named Eve responding in a fashion that seemed surprisingly innocent, though Aisha hadn’t expected a girl with such prominent scholarly interest and so scruffy a demeanour to be terribly well versed in the concept she had raised, she was still taken just a little bit aback by the pure hearted manner in which she responded. That not all either, the Desiertian Delight couldn’t help but also see a hint of loneliness in the statement that the student made, feeling a pang of sympathy for the girl that oddly made her feel like what they were up to was a more important thing.

“Heheheh, that’s a bit more like it… I’m Aisha… Aisha Connors.” Sighing softly as she found the gal that was carting her off to god knows where at last being given a name, after stopping on the spot and easing her arm from the grip of Miss Hallows with a little persistent physical persuasion, she presented her hand to the new acquaintance as she gave her own moniker in a proper manner. Winking again at the young woman as she took a somewhat reluctant mitt and shook it in as friendly a fashion as she could manage, though Miss Connors felt a little dorky for taking this formal approach in establishing this relationship with the runic enthusiast, it also felt right too.

“It’s nice to know you, Eve~” The soul before her an awkward but affable person, the bronze beauty hoped that in their time together and that beyond it they could grow as close and possible, and she might even offer her a place at the guild as a result of the encounter if she seemed as if it would be her thing. Doubtful given her scholarly pursuits with which Eve seemed to be obsessed but oddballs of any sort always welcome in the home of the fairies, even if all she walked away from this meeting with was nothing more than a new friendship then Aisha would have considered her time well spent really, but lucky for her she was going to get a whole lot more than that when all was said and done…

WORDS: 304 | WORK OUT

“Ladies~” A smile on Aisha’s face as she dashed through the streets of Crocus and nodded toward a couple of well-dressed young women that she certainly wouldn’t have minded giving a demonstration on the way of doing things in her native Magnolia, the visitor to the Fiorian capital was quickly adapting to her new climbs, turning around and jogging backward for a step or two to enjoy the charms of Crocus and chuckling as she caught at least one of those pairs of eyes doing the same. Dressed a tiny bit more conservatively than she perhaps would in her home town as she wore a pair of long and mildly loose track bottoms as opposed to her usual tight lycra, over a sports bra the dishy Desiertian wore a blue tank top that showed off just the right teasing hint of her midriff, highlighting the well-honed abs that she was only too happy to bear.

Jack was never too keen on the capital, something about there being too many nosy Rune Knights hanging around, but it’s not a bad place if you ask me~? Humming to herself sweetly as she turned around and continued to jog along the clean streets and looked toward the marble walls of noble houses, while it was perhaps not such a common thing for the people of the town to see an umber runner going about her business, Miss Connors didn’t mind that fact all that much. Herself no matter where she was, whether it be setting her pulse racing with a good workout or making the hearts of girls flutter in much the same fashion with a smile and cool line, she wasn’t about to let herself be changed. Really enjoying the break from her usual lifestyle and this somewhat like a holiday for her, though the tall temptress knew she would have to get back to the ‘grind’ sooner rather than later, she planned to enjoy herself as much as she could for now. After all, it wasn’t as if she could go anywhere, now was it?

WORDS: 332 | WORK OUT

I was worried at first, but if these are the kinds of sights I can enjoy, Eve can definitely take her time… We want to make sure that translation is good an accurate, after all~ Flicking her head and winking toward a character in a monocle that seemed to see fit to let his sneering stare linger on her, Miss Connors let loose a small sigh as she bounced along the pavement, lifting her hand up and dabbing her brow with a nice fluffy while towel she was carrying as she remained undeterred in her aerobic march. Initially somewhat reluctant to stay because of her urge to get back on the trail of Jack or help with the revival of Fairy Tail but relenting and finding that she was glad that she did so, though she was being rather active in her ‘rest’ with the Hallows family, she was enjoying it all the same. For the most part, at least.

It’s funny how the family can be so different, and yet, feel so perfect together? Smirking as she moved along the streets and switched from simple jogging to performing more of a lurching side wards bound which admittedly looked a little childish in her operation, though it had been a little intimidating to be introduced to a close knit family like the one that hosted her, now that she had acclimatized herself to Eve’s household she could see why the girl chose to remain with them than live in her university dorms, and it certainly wasn’t a matter of finance.

They remind me of the guild, really… Oddballs coming together as one? Each of the Hallows seeming to be distinct in their own way, from the glamorous and gothic mama and the madcap father Aisha could easily see how Eve had come together, though it was a little more difficult to perceive the combination of the adult characteristics that led to the creation of her little brother, it didn’t seem to detract from the combination one bit. Practically comprising the Crocus branch of Fairy Tail in their antics once one discounted the macabre obsessions that they clung to, the Bronze beauty was tempted to offer them a chance to join their little collective, but then they didn’t seem like the type to go out and do jobs. After all, they had their own pursuits…
