Demonic Incursions

Shortly after the untimely and mysterious death of Arthurias, strange rifts have been appearing all over Fiore. The rifts seem to act as portals between the Abyss and Earthland, with Demons pouring out of them and causing havoc to everything within sight. The sheer number of these rifts had overwhelmed the Rune Knight and Holy Knight forces, and the new King had called all capable fighters throughout the land to action. Scholars had found a way to determine the general location of these rifts prior to their opening, through the subtle disturbances they see in the mana in the region. They have also researched a way to close the rifts before more powerful Demons find their way into Earthland. However, they need the brave and competent fighters to clear the area of all Demons around the rift so that they can perform the ritual to close it.

Minor Demonic Incursion: A small tear in reality denotes this minor incursion of lesser Demons. The rift is opening at a very slow rate and is not strong enough to allow any powerful Demon to come through. However, it still is a threat for the commoners and must be closed.

Moderate Demonic Incursion: These are rifts that pose a significant threat for the population. It grows steadily and is the primary source for many lesser Demons currently roaming the land. Closing these will hamper the incursion significantly.

  • Basic Reward: 6,000 XP
  • Boss Reward: 3,000 XP
  • Bonus: 100,000J
  • Requirements: Mages must have at least 3D and 2C, other classes must have at least 30 SP.

Major Demonic Incursion: These rifts become the entry point for many strong Demons that command the lesser Demons. Defeating these commanders is top priority as it will scatter the weaker ones and make it easier to end the incursion.

  • Boss Reward: 3,000 XP
  • Bonus: 200,000J
  • Requirements: Mages must have at least 3C and 2B, other classes must have at least 80 SP.

Great Demonic Incursion: Large rifts that attract very powerful Demons that can wipe out a platoon in the blink of an eye. If not stopped, the ones pouring out of these rifts will devour the land of its living in no time.

  • Boss Reward: 4,000 XP
  • Bonus: 200,000J
  • Requirements: Mages must have at least 3B and 2A, other classes must have at least 160 SP.

Monstrous Demonic Incursion: Sometimes, mysterious phenomena cause a small rift to burst open, and out comes a Demon so powerful that its mere presence causes cataclysmic effects. These Demons are world-enders and must be stopped at all costs if the species of Earthland was to survive.

  • Requirements: Mages must have at least 3A and 2S, other classes must have at least 280 SP.

Event Conditions

  • Starting January, Demonic Incursions will occur at random locations until March 1st.

  • After an incursion is posted, all users who are of the required rank to complete the incursion may post in the topic to sign up, along with the names of all members of their team and the rank of the incursion they wish to participate in.

  • Each member of the team must meet the minimum requirements of the difficulty that has been selected.

  • Should the user meet the requirements of a certain difficulty, they may automatically participate in lower difficulties.

  • It is not possible to participate solo.

  • Once all the teams are formed and the sign-ups close, the incursion topic will be made by a mod. After that, the participants may begin to post in that topic to complete the required word count.

  • Users may team up with others to close the rift faster. For each additional user in the topic, everyone in the topic receives 10% wordcount reduction to finish the incursion. There can be a maximum of five users in any single incursion topic, giving up to a maximum of 40% wordcount reduction.

  • Members of Good Guilds cannot team up with those of Bad Guilds.

  • Once all the users have finished the required wordcount for the incursion, the last user to post may roll a dice. If the dice roll is between 1 to 10, the one who rolled the dice must then post in the incursion page to request a boss spawn.

  • The mana of each participant is recharged should a boss spawn.

  • A moderator will then spawn the boss in the topic, and the participants must defeat the boss to receive the Boss Reward mentioned.

  • At the end of the fight, the last user to post must again roll another dice. If the roll is between 1 to 10, all participants receive the Bonus mentioned. If the boss was defeated, then the Bonus is granted for rolls between 1 to 20.
