Effect: The user snaps their fingers and white wind will extend out wards like a glaring sun. Anyone caught in the wave must be within 4 meters if the caster. It will let off a high pitched screeching noise when cast. If you are caught in the wave you will have sensory disorientation for 1 post (blurry vision, ringing in ears). Your sense s return to normal nstantly after the single post.

Effect: The user snaps their fingers and a bird made of white wind will appear on the caster's shoulder. The bird can take the shape of any bird species the caster chooses. It does not take on the color only the shape. With hand movements (up, down, left, right), the bird will be ordered to move. The bird can move up to 15 meters in one direction before stopping. When stationary the bird can sense anything within 4 meter of it, if it detects anything it will glow and chirp to signify it sense something hidden. The bird can sustain 1Xb-rank damage.

The spell mentions that it does not stick nor grab to the enemy but restricts them? Could you explain how?
Restricting spells cannot be Sustained.

Aurai:

The bird will have to remain still to use the spell and detect anything nearby. The user cannot also move to increase the range of the detection.
What is the "flash and fly to the undetected presence" for?

For Lace, the spell isn't always meant to catch someone, its meant to restrict their approach before they have a chance to get to close, if they managed to get caught up in it, it'll have the same effect as trying to wade through it from the beginning.
