Varian
Varian stepped through the snowy garden, winter was beginning to get on his nerves. The constant cold, the lack of green, Varian missed the warmth, not that he could remember it. Stopping dead in his tracks Varian paused, a look of shock spread across his face. He had no idea what feeling the warmth of the summer sun on his skin felt like. He knew what warmth felt like and he had the memory, but the feel was gone, like it had never been there. Sticking out his hand he caught a snowflake, it had begun to snow lightly, it wasn't sticking though. At least he got to know what snow was like.

Varian and Vega continued on their walk through the bony garden. Brown and White were the only colors that existed currently. Vega left little steaming footprints as she walked. Varian brushed his hand against a dead rose bush, accidentally pricking himself on a thorn. Yanking back he shook his hand back and forth for a few moments, earning a judging look from Vega who was playing byherself. Varian smiled as he watched her, he felt like some kind of proud father. Even though he hadn't known her that long the two had a deep connection. Taking a few deep breaths Varian continued to watch Vega roll around in the snow. She was his currently his only friend, maybe he had some but he couldn't remember, as of right now, he and Vega were all alone.

"Oak Oak Oak Oak Oak . . .  ." He repeated it over and over in his mind. It was his next destination, but he couldn't find a reason to leave the city yet. Maybe his Lady would be there, maybe she wasn't. He needed a direction to go to find her. For all he had was Mikiko to tell him anything, and for now, he wasn't going to deal with her. He was going to do it alone. He had to. Something was strange.

After all, she never left the city without first torturing him. What was her game now?

Waybe kicked his feet, sitting on a bench that barely supported his weight and size. His arms rested on his legs as he leaned forward. His bald head held a bit of snow, giving him a small pile upon his round head. His eyes traced the ground. What was he to do, and where was he to go? Would he need money again?

No, he was a knight, there was much to do. He had a city to defend. He would get to work and get out of this place and find her.

He just had to get up/

And that was the hardest part.

Varian
As Varian continued on through the lonesome garden he entered a smaller place full of benches. He assumed that in the spring when the gardens were in full bloom this place was much lovelier, but currently it was just a sad tone of white and brown. There was not many other people here today, especially in this area. There was only a large man innocently kicking his legs, he sat alone. Then on the very far side there was a young woman who paid no attention to Varian or the large man, she just continued to draw away on her pad. Varian assumer that she was just one of those people who had an affinity for winter, that was something Varian did not have. Varian walked over to a far side of the small bench area and chose a place to sit down. First he wiped off the snow with his hand, then Vega would leap up and evaporate the remaining water with her extreme body temperature. The two would sit down quietly and just look out on the frozen world right now. So much had been going on these past few months, crocus was in turmoil, Varian had no idea who he really was, all of Fiore was in danger, overall it was just a dangerous time. Taking a deep breath Varian started off into space. It would look like he was looking directly at the large man, but in reality he wouldn’t at all, whether or not the large man noticed it didn’t bother Varian, in fact Varian didn’t notice it himself, at the moment he was lost in his own sequence of thoughts.

"Phantom . . . Phantom . . . Phantom . . . Phantom . . . " He repeated it as he leaned forward, his rear remaining seated. A new idea crossed his mind. Perhaps his answer was none too far away. He would seek his master's master, and there he would find his direction. His path.

A new man entered his area, only to take a seat with a rather odd companion. He thought nothing of it really. If he did not know that man by name, he was most like unimportant to him. Even the unknown ghosts had no real importance in his life, at least not until he had a name to call them by.

Wayne pondered his thoughts, wondering what would become of both the Manji as well as the Rune Knights. There was much to figure, perhaps thinking aloud would help, but there was a none to speak with.

A girl silently drew, or wrote, it was unknown which she was doing. A man played with his flaming companion, and he, Wayne, kicked his feet wondering what to do with his life.

Varian
As Varian would continue to stare off into space the large man would continue mumbling under his breath. Varian couldn’t make out the words, but he also wasn’t paying enough attention to care at the moment. Vega stretches her legs and extended her rear far into the air, doing a little cat stretch. Then, with one leap, she dropped from the bench and walked over to the large man on the other end of the area. She’d swjng around behind his bench before ducking under it. Leaning forward a little bit she took a whiff of his feet. After she had decided him not a threat she slipped in between his legs and in front of him, possibly causing a startle. Noticing the rudeness of his friend, Varian stood up and crossed the gap between the benches in a few short strides. He scooped up Vega quickly, ”I’m very sorry, she’s a bit nosy. I’m sorry if she startled you sir.” Varian said quickly. Holding Bega tightly in his arms. He turned around ready to walk away, whispering etiquette rules into. Vega’s ear, it was unlikely she understood him, but If she did, she’s probably roll her eyes.

"Wayne forgives the feline." he would say matter-of-fact. He looked at the creature, wondering what it could be, he had never seen anything like it. But alas, it was not his own, and it was with its master, or owner rather. That would be a curiosity of another time.

"Does one know the time?" He asked, quite curious. How much time had he wasted there, waiting, thinking, pondering and exploring his options. He should have been seeking out that man, whoever he was. He was just a name, without a face attached to it. But if Lady Chi was with this man, then he had to not be too bad, right?

Nothing really mattered when it came down to Wayne. His actions were meaningless, save for a few key moments. All he was, was a messenger. He had his purpose and his needs and he would watch and deliver every time. But when the time didn't call, he was nothing more than a loaf who read too much, spoke too strange and failed to do any real work.

Varian
Wayne, as the man went, said he forgave the feline. The only odd part was the way he spoke, it was in third person. Varian didn’t cock an eyebrow or anything, he knew that would be rude. He had seen a lady in a restaurant talking to someone with a disorder of some kind. She seemed oblivious and got fed up with them quickly. The victim had soon become flustered until his partner stepped in and spoke for him, later scolding the lady.
When Wayne asked Varian for the time he paused momentarily. He didn’t truly know what time it was. ”Hmmm, I think it happens to be around 10:00 in the morning.” Varian said matter of factly. In reality it was probably close to around 9:45. But Varian was no where near a clock of any kind, and thus his guess would obviously be a little off. Vega gave out a small yawn and Varian gave her a pat before looking back to Wayne, ”Is there anything else I can help you with? It’s not like I’m doing much else currently.” Varian said with a small laugh.
