Boiling Rock

The Boiling Rock is an extremely secure prison known for its history of unsuccessful escape attempts. The prison is situated on a volcanic island in the middle of a boiling lake, hence its name. The most famous heroes, both domestic and foreign alike, are sent here after the contracts on their heads are collected. The prison is run by a cruel and powerful warden who takes great pride in the prison's reputation as an inescapable fortress. The only way on and off the volcanic island was by traveling over the boiling water on one of the two gondolas. The prison is a mana distortion zone where magic cannot be used. Therefore, most guards are warriors, rogues, and gunslingers to maintain order and control the prisoners.
