Having a rather narrow and delicate looking face, Miss Velasco has unusual red irises that are rich in their red colour and speak of both her self-confidence and intellectual curiosity, whilst her overall facial structure is a little feline. Sporting lips that are naturally rosy even without being coloured, this intoxicating icon has a noticeable pout that only seems to add to her model-like good looks. Tending to be more subtle in her choices of makeup as a sign of her maturity, she rarely wears heavy eyeshadow though frames her eyes with eye liner and the effect of long and dark lashes, she plays up her innate good looks rather well and as such highlights her cheekbones and sometimes if she feels she needs it her plump pout. Piercing her ears, she often wears rather gaudy and gregarious ear pieces in the form of hoops and danglers, which peek out from behind her bangs with dazzling, often gold colour. Sporting long, dark hair that she tends to wear loosely most often, her near-black locks are habitually styled to be straight and are very long, reaching the lower portion of her back and has long, curtain-style bangs to frame her face which are roughly jaw length. Most often wearing her hear loose to show of the length and lustre but not confined in her style however, Venus is happy to mix it up and wear her hair in different manners if the occasions calls for it, while she appreciates the freedom and glamour inherent to wearing her hair unbridled she will tie her hair when she needs to in simple tails for exercise, or perhaps in buns or knots if she wishes to wear it elegantly for a special occasion. A stylish young woman who loves to keep up with the latest fashions and make herself look good, the wardrobe of this young woman is quite varied, and emphasized to really play up her variety of pleasing physical features. Favouring fashions to really flaunt her figure, Venus prefers a sense of sophisticated sexiness in her style of clothing, choosing options with short hemlines and low necks to emphasize her legs and bust, but of lighter shades and with frilly, lacy and loose designs. Noted to have a fondness for things that are rather showy and attention grabbing, very little is ‘off the table’ for a girl who loves to catch the eye of others and while she can look the height of glamour and gorgeousness in a gown she is also the sort who might wear something rather risqué, and demonstrates little regard for the prudish opinions of people around her. No stranger to tighter forms of clothing and certainly considering nothing off limits in her wardrobe, though she is at her prettiest in a gown and high heeled shoe, Miss Velasco has no problem dressing in a simpler and more active orientated clothing. Happy to slide herself into a tank top, shorts and pair of knee high boots, this dark dish seems to always carry herself with a sense of class no matter what she wears, being the type who could make a potato sack look like it was fit for a princess. Fond of jewellery, Venus likes to wear earrings and pretty clasps in her hair, as well as sporting bracelets and the occasional necklace that has caught her eye. Extra: Personality Personality: Forwardly cool, confident and composed, Venus Velasco is flamboyant and vain, loving to show off and feel like the centre of attention no matter the situation she finds herself in. Confident to the extreme both in terms of her looks and her abilities, she has a strong sense of assurance and egotism which can make it hard for her to empathize with others, which is a noticeable shortcoming, and seems to fuel a spirit of superiority that means she tends to only take an interest in people who she perceives on her level. Sure, she loves the adulation and adoration of others as a whole, but definitely lacks the humility needed to identify much with the common person, considering herself above it all. This seeming to fuel an attitude which is innately haughty and condescending, she has a strong sense of conceit which can rub people up the wrong way, and perhaps some might consider her beauty something better admired from afar rather than in closer and harsher lights. Quite the queen bee when given the opportunity, she tends to assume a kind of domineering command of any situation if she isn't challenged, and makes her somewhat belligerent if challenged. Highly elitist, Venus tends to show respect only to those who earn it and often only begrudgingly so, and sometimes can flex her snooty ideals a little too much, especially if disappointed by someone or something, though in spite of these qualities is more impressionable than she appears. At least in the right circumstances, that is. Abrasive in her countenance and the type whom many might define as obnoxious, she tends to behave in manners which are rude and self-serving, and typically spares little thought toward the 'little people' in her life. Dismissive or belligerent dependent on the personalities she encounters, Miss Velasco seems to lose interest quickly in those who are too readily dominated by her and shows little respect toward them, and instead strangely shows a greater sense of attraction toward those who challenge her. Often seeming more 'alive' when she is trading barbs with someone than she is when she is walking all over them, those who are doormats to her seem to be viewed in the same kind of light as say a pet and would be discarded when they become overly problematic, yet in the case of a feistier disposition she seems to feel a thrill from clashing and butting heads. Seeming to develop rivalries easily and yet these connections born from animosity and vendetta more enduring than her typical relationships, and she would be more excited by the prospect of upstaging and outdoing a opponent than she would be doing a favour for an ally. Hotter in spirit than she might seem upon first impression and succumbing to her Stellan temper easily with the right kind of triggers, she hates to feel her pride dented, and seeks retribution and repayment in equal measure. Very passionate generally, Venus can tend to create rivalries easily and sometimes with great intensity, and despite her obnoxious behaviour can be warm and good company in the right situation, which tends to usually involve her feeling very much in control. Someone who prizes luxury and prosperity but more generous than she may appear, she can show a more sensitive side to her character in how she can tend to want to dote on the people she likes, though might be somewhat clumsy in how she does this. Always somewhat domineering, sometimes that which she does for other people might be difficult to see as kindness with how supercilious she can appear, and she may become upset if her effort goes unappreciated. A lifetime spent being the recipient of favours meaning she seems to have a hard time expressing her tenderness and consideration, she can be a little too forward and tactless in how she goes about things, and sometimes this can lead to her effort seeming to blow up in her face. All of this reflecting the fact that she has a lot of trouble expressing her vulnerability, while she feels little of toying with the emotions of others with her charms and other gifts, Miss Velasco is highly defensive of her own feelings and this seems to be the reason she seems to bounce between cool countenance and fierce temper. The type who needs a lot of patience to feel comfortable expressing her emotions and innermost thoughts and feelings, she is kind of a tsundere really. No real way of beating about the bush on that one. Possessing an odd mindset when it comes to those who are worse off than her however, in her mind she has earned her prestige through talent and effort even if a handsome portion of her success comes from her obvious good looks, and can have a tendency to sneer at those who expect others to have their problems solved for them by heroes and kindly souls. At the same time though she does recall what it was like growing up with little and can embark upon what might be best deemed 'guarded charity', as in her offering up kindnesses with a necessary pretence to preserve her image, such as giving away food because it failed to meet her high expectations for instance. The user has no actual spells for this magic except for a single spell which allows to negate any spell within a certain radius of them at the same cost of mana as is incoming in that radius. The user can use the spell to even nullify an A-rank spell, even if they are only D-rank themselves, as long as they can pay the amount of mana to cast the spell after any mana reduction they have. The Nullification spell becomes easier to use depending on the rank of the user. While it requires movements at first, eventually the user becomes capable of nullifying anything without using any motion the moment it comes into their range. History History: A girl from a rather rough environment, Venus grew up in a poor part of town where even the kids would fight over what they wanted and steal from those who weren't strong enough to take care of themselves, and so Venus learned to be strong. A scrappier young thing than many would expect given her polish these days, she learned to tussle with others including boys in order to keep what was hers, even if it was as simple as the meagre rations they were given to survive on. Not that she needed to stay scrappy to survive all the time or especially as she got older, Miss Velasco was a pretty girl even from a young age what with her large and beautiful eyes and endearing appearance, and seemed to quickly learn to wrap the nuns around her finger for her angelic appearance. The type who seemed to learn to bat her lashes and play act regret to escape the cane for her misbehaviours, as she grew older and her good looks grew more pronounced she only learned to enjoy them all the more, though retained a spirit of independence which saw her want to be reliant on nobody. Always one who craved the limelight and not failing to notice how it was the mages of the world who seemed to get the most attention as well as she grew up, Venus noticed how boys would pin the centrefold's from sorcerer's magazine and argue over which member of what guild was the strongest, and felt an envy and desire to emulate them. Wishing to learn to use magic and initially aghast to discover that her initial teachers did not think she had the talent for it, she managed to scrimp and save what money she might make through jobs and chores to attend classes only to fail to produce even a candle head of flame or a drop of drink, it aggravated her to see others garner the spotlight for their abilities and through that seemed to also prompt her to discover the true nature of her powers. Blessed not with the ability to control the elements but rather something closer to anti-magic, one day when one of her classmates was showing off her ire was provoked, and through it she seemed to snuff out their spells like a wet blanket on a flame. Intrigued and in time recognising the fact that she did indeed possess some form of anti-magic ability, Miss Velasco was elated to realise that for all their silly little shows her schoolmates were no match for her, and wasn’t the only one to realize that either. Catching the eye of a hunter from a guild who was friends with her teacher when using her abilities to hinder one of the classes best and brightest, she was only too happy to hear about how special her powers were, and took pride in being invited to join him to be trained as a 'mage breaker'. Learning to hone her gifts to call upon them as much as she needed and polish abilities which were not reliant upon mana and magic to overwhelm her enemies, Venus learned to fight and supress her foes, and for a time proved rather a success in tandem with her new mentor. Unfortunately, ego would eventually compel her to go independent. Quickly feeling that she had outgrown him and feeling rather envious of the rising stars of her day, Miss Velasco looked to people like the White Empress, Snowflake and Megami of Fiore, she saw those who were not much older than she was making headlines and stealing centrepieces, and decided that she was being held back operating under the umbrella of another. Always feeling like she was a side act to him even when it was her ability in supressing their enemies that had proven crucial time and again, she decided that she would break away and do her own thing and establish her own name therein. Stepping away from him and going into the business for herself therein, with time did both her abilities and heavenly image seem to achieve notice, and she found herself being approached for what she sought. Offered positions modelling for puff pieces and providing endorsements for products she had never even tried, she felt her star rising higher and higher, and yet even then felt like she had more to prove. Becoming a local celebrity but remembering the figures to whom she aspired to match and feeling she still had a ways to go, the ever growing ego of Venus Velasco does not seem like it would be satisfied until she had eclipsed the figures she had once idolised, and so she has decided to seek them out and best them. Seeming to hold none in higher regard once upon a time than the woman who now command's the guild of Blue Pegasus, to this fountain of vanity there seemed to be no greater laurel for her ascent than unseating the woman she had once wished to emulate, and so had thrown in with her guild with the sole intent of besting it's leader.
