Between Weirdlock Jones and Granny Meirin, Atani supposed she liked working for the old lady a bit better. She was rather sweet, and honestly? Both clients offered pretty much the same pay, so it really boiled down to whatever Atani wanted to do for the day to earn some money before she could feel well enough to spend it on some much needed rest and relaxation at one of Hosenka's resorts.

Granny Meirin had put out another request for mages such as herself to take. Only this time, she wanted someone to take on the role of a bodyguard for an upcoming tour that some members of nobility would be going on. This wasn't something she hadn't done before; in fact, it was rather similar to a couple jobs she had done just south of here in Myras. In her experience, not that many threats came nobles' ways on minor excursions such as these.

They did, however, almost always want some form of protection along their way, and Atani figured she could provide just that.

She met Granny Meirin prior to the start of the tour, and she was introduced to the tour guide who she would also be protecting throughout the duration of the event. Just a few moments later, the foreign nobles arrived, and Granny Meirin introduced them to both Atani and their guide. In no time at all, the tour had started, and Atani went to work following them around.

The job was relatively easy. Just as she had thought, there weren't many threats to the nobles-- not any real ones at least, but her presence brought them comfort nonetheless. She was enough of a deterrent for the occasional delinquent such that they didn't dare get too close. The event ended with returning the nobles to their hotel, and in addition to a free tour of Hosenka herself from this job, Atani was rewarded with some jewels.
