Kishin's foe had disappeared back into the darkness, leaving Kishin alone with his thoughts and his pain. Kishin lay on the ground, gasping for air. His body was weak, and he felt like he was on the brink of death. He knew that he had made a terrible mistake. His curiosity had led him to the ruins, and now he was paying the price.

As he lay there, Kishin's thoughts turned to his own mortality. He was a lich, but he could only briefly be human. He knew that death was always waiting for him, just around the corner. But even with the knowledge of his own mortality, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of masochistic joy. The pain reminded him that he was alive, that he was still capable of feeling.

He struggled to his feet, his body weak and unsteady. He knew that he needed to keep moving, to find a way out of the ruins and back into the world. He stumbled through the darkness, using his gun to light his way. He could feel the magic pulsing around him, but he knew that he couldn't rely on it to save him.

He had heard rumors of ancient ruins buried deep within the cave, relics of a time long forgotten. Kishin had always been fascinated by history and the mysteries of the past, and he knew that he had to explore the ruins for himself. As he moved deeper into the cave, Kishin began to see signs out of the ruins. He saw ancient carvings on the walls, symbols and images that he didn't recognize.

The air grew colder and damper, and Kishin felt a sense of foreboding as he moved forward. But he knew that he couldn't turn back now, that he had to see the ruins for himself to escape. As he emerged into a large cavern, Kishin's torch he created illuminated the ruins in all their glory. He saw ancient statues and carvings, depicting creatures and warriors that he had never seen before.

The ruins were in a state of disrepair, with crumbling walls and broken pillars of animals or mythical beasts. But even in their decay, they retained a sense of grandeur and majesty. Kishin moved through the ruins, marveling at the intricate carvings and the ancient artifacts that he saw. He felt a sense of awe and wonder, knowing that he was standing in a place that had been lost to the world for centuries.

As he explored the ruins, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of melancholy. He knew that these ruins were a testament to a civilization that had long since fallen, a reminder of the impermanence of all things. But even in the face of this realization, Kishin felt a sense of inspiration. He knew that he could learn from the ruins, from the stories that they told and the lessons that they imparted. And so he continued to explore, moving deeper into the ruins and uncovering their secrets. He knew that he would never forget this place, that it would remain with him always as a symbol of the mysteries and wonders of the past.

As he moved through the ruins, Kishin began to think about the woman who had attacked him. He wondered why she had been so angry, why she had tried to kill him. He knew that he had made a mistake by coming to the ruins, but he couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to the woman's anger than just that.

Finally, after what felt like hours, Kishin emerged from the ruins. He stumbled out into the sunlight, his eyes blinking in the sudden brightness. He looked around and realized that he was in the middle of a vast desert. He had no idea where he was or how he was going to get back to civilization.

But even with the uncertainty of his future, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of joy. He had survived the ruins, and he knew that he was capable of surviving anything that the world could throw at him. With a newfound sense of purpose, Kishin set off into the desert, ready to face whatever lay ahead. Kishin walked through the endless expanse of the desert, his mind filled with thoughts of the ruins he had explored and the woman who had attacked him.

He had no idea where he was or how he was going to get back to civilization. All he knew was that he needed to keep moving, to find a way out of the desert and back into the world. As he walked, Kishin thought about the Stellans and their relationship with nature. He knew that they saw nature as a tool to be wielded, but he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to it than that. He wondered if maybe the Stellans had a deeper understanding of the world, a connection to nature that he himself lacked as a lich.

As he walked, Kishin noticed that the landscape was changing. The sand dunes were giving way to rocky outcroppings and scrubby bushes. He saw a city in the distance, its walls towering over the surrounding landscape. Kishin knew that he had found civilization, and he quickened his pace.

As he approached the city, Kishin could see that it was bustling with activity. Humans and beasts alike moved through the streets, their voices raised in conversation. Kishin felt a sense of awe as he looked around. He had never seen anything like this before, a city that was so alive and vibrant.

He moved through the streets, trying to take in as much as he could. He saw warriors riding beasts, their bodies covered in armor and weapons glinting in the sunlight. He saw sun priests moving through the crowds, their bodies radiating with magic. Kishin felt a sense of envy as he watched them, knowing that he himself was unmagical.

As he moved through the city, Kishin couldn't help but wonder if he would ever find a place where he truly belonged. He had traveled so far, and yet he still felt lost and alone. But even with his doubts and fears, Kishin knew that he couldn't give up. He had survived the ruins and the desert, and he knew that he was capable of anything that the world could throw at him.

With a newfound sense of determination, Kishin set off into the city, ready to explore and discover all that Stella had to offer. Kishin explored this city in Stella, marveling at its beauty and complexity. He had never seen anything like it, and he was filled with a sense of wonder and awe.

As he moved through the streets, Kishin saw humans and beasts living side by side, each dependent on the other for survival. He could sense the power of the sun priests and the magic they wielded, and he knew that there was much he could learn from them still.

The Stellans had a unique relationship with the beasts that they commanded and rode. They understood that these creatures were not merely tools to be used, but living beings with their own needs and desires. One of the most important aspects of the Stellans' relationship with their beasts was the process of cooking. This was a complicated ritual that involved a great deal of preparation and care.

Watching in new interest, Kishin understood more than he had before about the priests. First, the Stellans would catch the beast that they wanted to cook. This was not a simple process, as the beasts were often large and powerful, and could easily injure or kill an unskilled hunter.

Once the beast was caught, the Stellans would begin the process of preparing it for cooking. They would remove the skin and fur, and carefully separate the meat from the bones and organs. This was a delicate process, as the Stellans believed that the way in which the beast was prepared would affect the taste and quality of the meat.

Once the meat had been prepared, it was time to begin the cooking process, which could be long or short depending on the meat. This was done over a large open flame, with the Stellans carefully monitoring the temperature and adding herbs and spices to enhance the flavor. The cooking process was a delicate one, as the Stellans believed that if the meat was overcooked or undercooked, it could affect the magical properties of the beast.

Finally, after hours of careful preparation and cooking, the beast was ready to be eaten. The Stellans would gather around the fire, savoring the rich aroma of the meat as it cooked. As they ate, the Stellans would talk and laugh, sharing stories of their adventures and experiences. They knew that the meat of the beast was not merely food, but a symbol of their connection to the natural world and the creatures that lived within it.
