Azure Fenic

The informant made his way to the rooftop of the guild hall that overlooked the Sieghart Mountains that many had called home but today all of it or certain locations belonged to him for now.  After the events of their last outing, the amount of planning research that went into what normal people call a night was something that could have been made into a book. 

Ignis and Cygnus did the bulk of the work when it came to picking the locations all through and helped with many other parts of this important event. Making his way back to the ground floor he headed back to his room to get changed and finish some last-minute reports. As he quickly rushed to finish the paperwork, Ignis attempted to style his hair with some help from Blobby "Last one then I can get dressed promise." at least that's what the plan was. 

Roughly two hours later Azure actually finished all the reports and finally got dressed for the night out.  Felling his heart in his beating much faster than normal he made his way to a small dinner, "You did send her the message right?" he asked Ignis nervously to which she simply sighed and nodded in hopes to calm him.

Dressed:

Vex had received the invite to the date she had agreed to and she thought about just blowing him off cause she had only just agreed in the heat of the moment to get him to stop being stupid and focus his lost blood flow to his head on his shoulders instead of him just hot dogging it and getting himself killed. She sighs cause breaking her word will solve nothing and probably make her just look bad for her cause and to her followers even if they would understand why she is doing it but she gets ready any ways for it to make sure that she keeps her good image with dealing and keeping her word even if this is just a formality.

She makes sure to keep her dagger on his so she doesn't go to this date unarmed and if push comes to shove that she can defend herself till her right hands show up and get her bow to her cause a bow just stands out far to much to just be carrying around on her back to such a thing.

Standing in front of the diner the informant adjusted his already perfect tie out of pure nervousness and worry that he did all this work to make the perfect first date only to have it all go to waste as she could have blown him off or just not wanted to come. It was a rather odd feeling to have an attachment to someone and make action to try and express said attachments to them in a way they could understand. Azure began to fidget with all the buttons and loose fabric he could get to without seeming like some of well dressed schizophrenic even What would mom say at a time like this? he asked himself taking the moment to try and think of the exact phrase she would use to help him relax and enjoy himself, 'If you worry about everything you'll miss what's in front of you.' a small smile flashed onto his face looking down at the ground trying not to resist the urge to find something to past the time as he waited. 

"I hope she doesn't think I'm going to blow her off?" he asked aloud squatting down as he pulled a list of things he wanted to say to her throughout the night as his research on this matter made it clear that giving words of thanks and gifs was a sure fire way to say the words.

Vex walks to the place and her right hands are following her just in case the man has sent a trap as the woman is still their leader and they know that the mans guild is full of goodie two shoes and that could lead to her being lead into a trap and captured or tortured for info to help them try to take down Eternal Nightmare while their change in leadership. She walks like she doesn't have that worry as she knows that Azure isn't dumb enough to attempt something so stupid to her cause she would kill him and make an alter to her goddess from his weak bones.

She rounds the corner and she looks at him and she wonders if he is okay cause he looks a bit sweaty and looks like he has his nose stuck in some papers and then she sees a strange forced look smile that crossed his face. He right hands stay out of sight in case they have to come out and strike him. "I keep you waiting long Azure?" She smiles at him to try and help him stay calm and not feel like she was gonna just walk off and not go through with the date.

"Vex! Your here thats great umm I mean it's nice to see you!" he said jumping up to his feet with a smile on his face as the first worry vanished from his mind it was time to officially start their date with an extravagant dinner that would hopefully be to her liking and given the work and surprise that he had planned for after it. Azure bowed slightly gesturing for her to approach so they could walk in together as it was something of a trope that he liked in the romance books that he read years back. Placing on hand in his pocket the informant composed himself and took two deep breaths as they prepared to enter the diner for the first event of the night. 

Assuming that walked in with him they would walk into an empty dinner with only a single table and two chairs, with the sound of a finger shaping a row of candles lit themselves revealing a young server standing adjacent to the table holding rolled-up napkins with a nervous expression their face as if they were trying to remember their line for a show. They looked towards Azure for some type of hint as to what they needed to say to which he took his hand out of his pocket and pointed at the table "Welcome! Mr. Azure, Lady Elf!" the server shouted quickly placing the napkins on the table and rising into the kitchen through swinging doors.

It would be at this time that both of them would take their seats across from each other, he looked at the wood elf and saw the sparks of the candles dance around her, part of him wondered if she saw anything special about him at this moment but knew better than to keep that type of thought train in the station.

Vex looks at the man who seemed to be stumbling over himself and she wonders why in the world he was so nervous as she was cool as a cumber with out even a shred of worry or nervousness about this "date" "Of course I showed up I said I would, do you think me a liar?" She follows him in as she hears the server call out to her as "Lady elf" so it was this kind of place she guessed racism was still alive and well in the north to have someone call a customer by their race like that while calling out and naming the human of the party.

She sat down and she looked at Azure and she wondered if he had set all of this up and if he had why would he not have informed them of her name, maybe she wasn't the only woman that Azure had been doing this too and the server was so nervous cause he couldn't keep the names straight from Azures other lovers and so the server in a mad dash to grasp at straws and not say the wrong name and get Azure in deep hot water saw her pointed ears and called her by her race so he could save himself and Azure. "Did he really have to refer to me by my race?"

It was nice to see that Vex was already locked and loaded with quips even though deep down a small part of him did think that she wasn't going to show up just due to everything that was leading up to the question. Trying not to make her feel unwanted the informant simply shook his head "Given everything that happen I just th-" he stopped himself short of finishing. A part of him felt he was going to be digging very deep for himself if he kept talking. 

"Hey don't worry about that it was a small slip-up, he won't do it again." as he said this the server would come to the table pushing a small cart with two serving trays "Mr. Azure, Lady Vex tonight's dinner is served..." they placed the trays on the table slipping Vex a note in the process, the note was a simple note of apologies. He gave the sever a look of concern as he didn't want to stress him out or make her feel like a second-class citizen. "Before he removes the lids whats your favorite dish?" it was a relatively simple question but also had another reasoning behind it. From what he was able to tell she wasn't happy with things so far but hopefully that would change.

She narrows her eyes how did he know know her name it is weird, they had just called her a a elf woman that makes no sense how now he pulled her name out of a hat and that caught her off guard she wonders if this might be a trap now as Azure is being extra like nervous then he is normally it was. She keeps on her guard as she looked around and it should have been something easier but it just felt strange. "I am not sure right now as to how you thought this would go."

She was watching and wondering that could really be under the lids in front of them and she really doesn't know what she would like to eat as she has just ate what she could get and she never really had the right to even complain about what it is cause she just tries to scrape by and this was just a strange place to be at. "I am not sure what i could even ask for i just eat what i get."

"Oh well this might be a bit tricky..." he crossed his arms trying to think of a way to fix the current situation, the server looked at the two confused as to what he was supposed to do next currently. Not even three minutes into the dinner and everything had started to fall apart at the seams, part of him wanted to move on to the next phase of the date but wanted to actually have dinner with her. 

Placing his hand on the tray he looked at her with a neutral expression "Well, to be honest, the trays are enchanted to make YOUR favorite dish." even though it seemed like he was being rather shady he simply wanted to treat her something that she liked. The situation wasn't looking very good but there was always another plan to deploy in case of situations such as this. Roughly thirty percent of his focus was on maintaining the date while the rest was just focused on Vex and the mood. The server slowly backed away from the table and began to whistle a small tune.

She looked at Azure with a dark cynical smile as she just thought up something that was probably a bit twisted to ask him and she knows this might completely put him off. "So if I wanted a severed head it would be what comes out of the thing?" It wasn't what she wanted but if they were the real deal the thing she truly wants to eat will come out from under it when they lift the thing and it should be Bouillabaisse under there but she wonders if the trick will work.

She waits and she watches the waiter as she wondered why he backed away from the table and why he was whistling a tune was it some kind of sign to summon back up and she started slowly reaching for her dagger as she had a sort of back feeling but she kept a smiling face as she doesn't want to alert the guy that she might be onto him or to let Azure know what her next move is gonna be if she has to make it and what it could be if he was in on this.

Azure chuckled a little as the thought of her wanting to eat a severed head was funny but at the same time, the server stopped whistling and took a small step towards the table "Lady Vex, Azure has put a lot of work into this and your-" the informant raised his hand as cutting the boy off.  It was clear that Vex was on edge or was just as nervous as he was about this which would be far better than anything else. The tension in the room had started to become visible between the two or three if you count the server. 

letting out a small sigh the informant would his left hand as it began to shake "Vex will you humor me and just left it?" he asked as the server stormed off into the kitchen, assuming that if she did remove the top the dish of her choice would appear on the plate.  Did I do something wrong? Nah I'm thinking to much he thought to himself as removing his lid to see either nothing or the exact same thing Vex had.

Vex giggles a little as Azure asks her to humor him she guesses that she needs to work on her humor as it seemed that she was causing the staff here to feel very displeased with them and the waiter had spoken back to her saying how hard Azure had worked on this evening but that could just be the man trying to make Azure look better than he was to her but she doesn't think that he needs help from the waiter that had offended her.

The woman raised the top off of the dish to see bouillabaisse on the plate as she had wanted and it smelled really good and she wondered if it was made here or if it was just a figment of magic which will taste bland and tasteless cause it was just made of magic. "So what is your plans for the future Azure?" She wanted to know if he had plans or if he was just going to let fate take the wheel and maybe drive him to his doom in the end. She will hear him out and see if she will fit somewhere in his future or if she is just letting her hopes get up again.

He looked at the plate with a surprised and confused expression as he didn't know what it was exactly even though it smelled really good, part of him wanted to dig in but the lady wanted to ask him a rather surprising question that through him off what little game he had left. Taking a few minutes to really give the question some thought another matter needed to be addressed "Before I answer your question I want to apologize for Earan's outburst, they tend to jump to conclusions." even though part of him did share in Earan's feeling it was still unacceptable for them to act in such a manner. Looking back at the plate he leaned on the table with one hand covering his mouth as he was still trying to think of some answer. 

After a minute or so Azure had finally managed to reach a conclusion that all the aspects of him could agree on even if it was a bit on the cheesy side of things, "Isn't it obverus?" he asked picking up his utensils to eat as the answer was more or less right in front of her currently. Azure scooped up some of the broth and sipped it lighting up his face with delight as it had a simple flavor but also a unique aroma to it as well.

She smirked at Azure saying he was sorry for the person acting out like that and she figured she would tease the poor man a bit. "It is fine he will be a fine sacrifice, my cultists are probably already planning to take care of him." She giggled as she was joking but her cultists in the north were a bit more brash than the ones in the other parts of the country so she can only hope that she was joking.

She looks to the food and she was ready to eat and she heard the man dodge the question she asked so she guessed that is not a good sign for this night and she sighs but she figures that she will just enjoy the night before the night ends and they part ways and she gets some food for herself and she eats with her table manners looking like she is a woman of higher standing than just some cultist leader that lives off of things she finds that are cheap and easy to get as she has to make sure her followers eat and stay alive so they can help her in her mission to spread the word of Tutrix.

Azure couldn't help but feel as though she was serious to some extent although this was just a hunch, not wanting to be too deep in his own thoughts the informant chuckled as he went in on the soup. "S-so Vex after this, I was thinking we could go for a nice walk?" he sounded like someone that had a mouth full of cotton balls but you could still make hear them clearly if you focused enough. Every now and then Blue would pause to take a breath and drink some water while also taking moments to really take in the time he has with Vex currently. 

The whole mood had changed from the start of the date which was an improvement to say the least given that Azure was a few minutes away from blowing a gasket from all the pressure he had placed on himself. Part of him wanted to come out and tell her the feeling that he now had understood while the other half wanted to wait until the climax of the night's events to end it on a rather sweet and heartfelt note.

She looked at Azure and she wonders if they are gonna really work out if she did commit to this with him, she would hope so but her feels are saying that he is too flighty and that they were going to probably just leave her high and dry when she really needs him, she figures if this ends in heart break so be it. She will learn from it and move on and just not trust this man again unless he makes it up to her and more. "I guess that would be fine to do I guess as long as you behave yourself."

She stands and she waits for him to lead the way so she could walk next to or just slightly behind him so that people walking by now that he is the male and he is in control of the walk and the front of the show just like her training had taught her growing up.

From what he was able to read from the room Vex was starting to take a shine to him or at least see past the weirdness and awkwardness that occurs when she's around. Once she moved away from the table "Oh ya cuz my cultiest are overpretective of me." he said finishing the last of the droplet of food in his bowl and standing up from the table. 

As they left Azure tried to walk side by side with her but it seemed as though something or someone was hellbent on having him take the lead. The clouds had taken a neutral tone as it seemed as though they wanted to match the current mood, "Have you ever been so deep in your own thoughts that you start to question who you are?" it was a question that had a deeper meaning behind it then even he had realized. It was odd how he was able to open up to her in such a short time though part of him did fear that she was the reason for all the sudden changes that have taken place.

When Azure had made the statement about the cultists. "Cause playing around with a woman and her heart would probably only get you murdered." She giggled as that was her teasing him about it, but her cultist were over protective but it was more her self that she was worried about more than the cultist taking a piece of him.

She sees him trying to make it side by side and she relents and just walks beside him cause she guessed he wasn't use to that so she figured it was probably just safer for him if she walks along side him so he isn't just side swiped or he gain ire toward her for being hard headed about it. She heard him ask the quest and she looked at him. "Not really as I know who I serve and she guides me in my every day." She wasn't fully sure what he was getting at but she figured that he was making small talk and not getting that he was saying that he is finding himself lost in his thoughts and what and who he is. "Do you do that Azure?"

It was a tough question to answer but tonight was about being open with each other so he had to tell her just what was going on in the library that he calls a head, "Honestly somedays I just question if I'm on the right side..." this was something that had been bothering him for some time as nearly everything about him had seemed to change ever so slightly. As they walked the informant didn't feel the gaze of anyone on him this time which meant one of two things, did her followers trust her or they actually improved their skills?  

They had been walking for a couple of minutes at this point and they had just about arrived at the specified location for the big event. Everything felt so natural and smooth at the same time even though he more than likely wouldn't get to show her all the festivities he had planned but it was okay. The small part of him that wanted to just call it a night grew slightly as they went on their walk, "Vex would you do me the honor of staying by my side as my girl?" part of him knew that this could end rather poorly but finally getting it off his chest felt rather nice even if she rejected the offer as they did have a rather nice relationship as it stood.

Vex looked at him when he had said he was on the wrong side of things and she wondered what he meant by that as he was in a guild that was neutral. "What do you mean? You are in a free guild one not picking a side as far as I know, how can you be on the wrong side?" She hadn't the slightest clue to how she was to understand that on if he was on the wrong side cause it seemed for an info broker like himself he was in the perfect spot in the middle to trade details and fight rumors.

She kept walking with the man and she wonders where she is walking with him. Then he hits her with that line. She looked at him wondering if he was serious and she smirks at him. "One I am a woman not a girl. Two If you are gonna ask such a thing you shouldn't look like you are already being rejected before I answer." She patted his shoulder not sure he is really ready for it if he was already looking like she would just turn him down before he had even heard her answer to him.

Hearing her scold him felt as though he was dealing with his mother but it was nice to see that she hadn't lost her touch when it came to bullying him though. It would seem as though the informant wasn't clear in his words what so ever but then again it was still amazing that he was able to get anything that didn't sound to straightforward or rude, Maybe I should try rephrasing it but then again... he thought to himself feeling that the hole would only get deeper. 

The space had been filed upside down and turned left to right from the very start of their somewhat lovely date night "Well they told me I waited too long to tell you so I just thought that..." this was not a route that he saw taking place at all given that she hadn't really given a yes or no to the question. Part of him wanted to press the issue but the other half wanted to let it go and call it a night for the time being at least. Azure looked around for something to distract her but she had a rather good point after all but at the same time the informant did want the question to solve.

Vex patted him on the shoulder and giggled. "Well who ever they are you shouldn't let them misguide you as you are the only one that can say if you waited too long, as you really haven't just time had passed and it seems you aren't really ready for this yet." She stepped after from him and she looked into his eyes and she smiled at him as this was probably the last time she will see him for awhile as she has other business to attend to and he seemed like he was still riding the fence of if he was truly ready to do this and she hopes the next time he attempts it, that it is not such a half assed attempt and ask with his heart bared as if he was having his soul shine through like he was baring it all to her.

"For now I have to go, stay well and we will meet again hopefully. See you then cutie~" She blew him a kiss then she walked off into the night to head onto her next adventure where ever that might take her or lead her too.

Not really knowing how to respond to her words the summoner simply just shook their head and nodded from time to time inside his mind he was thinking of how to get back at Blob for telling him lies even though they were things that he did think at some time. His chest felt like it was going to explode when he looked at her. The lights managed to hit her marvelously it made her skin glow, her eyes shimmer, and her hair shine like a mini sun he needed to focus on her words even though her looks were more interesting. These feelings are still a bit unfamiliar to Azure even though he had slowly become used to them swirling around Vex was around.

"Wha-wait I don't follow..." even though he understood exactly what she was saying it was still something that he was still coming to grips with what exactly she wanted from him, watching her leave made his chest slowly dull. As if he was being slowed down by some sort of time spell he reached out his hand to catch the kiss and hold onto it for just a few moments longer, Well I guess next time I should just keep it simple next time, he thought to himself as he tucked his hands into his pockets and headed back to the guild.
