After a successful foray out into the ‘farm’ portion of Dahlia herald found herself in the cozy warmwool inn. People had a knack here for being friendly to a degree and she for once didn’t have to worry about hiding her appearance. If anything now it brought some curious glances rather than scowls and glares. She had emptied a few steins of the local flavor; not the most powerful stuff that she’s had before but she really couldn’t argue this late at night.

Ordering herself a meal the goat woman decided that she could set her weapons to the side, still within reach and still within sight of others. She wasn’t completely careless and she would lean slowly back in her seat. Setting her head against the wall and staring out of the window.

Dahlia was dark and unforgiving but she found that was part of the reason that she liked it here compared to the other cheerful and sunny places with a dark or seedy underbelly. It wore its darkness pretty blatantly even if that wasn’t entirely by choice. With the amount of problems Dahlia had it was a surprise that the local dukes or even the crown weren’t being a bit more active.

She loosely wondered how the dark raiders that she had heard about would handle this sort of situation and what dahlia was like in that other universe. Snorting to herself she’d drain an entire stein and order another, this would make six and she didn’t look like she was anywhere near finished.

She had to consider if she was going to stay in the inn tonight or go and find another place to crash. With the amount of drinking she had going on maybe she should consider staying in…

Kanna Kusanagi
Today was a good day... She cleared out her job quickly enough, and by the end of the afternoon had already lined her pockets at the expense of a some victims she'd been hired to help shake down. The money fell like ripe fruit after such vigorous shaking, and now here she stood, savouring the fruits of her misdeeds back at the inn. Kanna too felt at ease here, in a city replete with shady people of all shapes and sizes, where nobody asked just where she found her coin so long as she paid for what she ordered. And so here she sat, already past her third beer, the nearly burnt out stub of a cigarette between her fingers, placing some extra jewels on the table for another round of beer with a resonating cling. She picked up her wallet, Kanna's lips all but widened into a shit eating grin, idly musing to herself:

"If this keeps up I ain't gonna wanna leave this city~...", the thought crossed her mind almost reflexively, loving that weighty heft in her wallet as she slipped it back into the pocket of her tight, form fitting jeans.

Now Kanna really wasn't one to get attached, but she had to admit... She was a little lazy. If the going was good and she wasn't in danger, she'd much rather find some place nice and cozy to set up shop for a while. After all, though she may dabble in a little bit of everything, she did her best work when she had a chance to stick around and learn interesting tidbits she could use to extort hapless fat cats. Alas, she hadn't gotten nearly that kinda knowledge yet, but after these past few days taking odd jobs, she was slowly building up a network of connections. She knew about the Dark Guild in the city too, though had been careful not find herself in their corsshairs. As frustrating as it may be, she knew she was nowhere near strong enough to have them an enemy, not with the kind of monsters they had there. If anything, she'd much rather stay in the Guild's good graces for the duration of her stay in Dahlia... Alas, that was neither here nor there. With her rear firmly nestled into the cushy seat, her mug filled to the brim with surprisingly good beer, Kanna had found herself a little lazy slice of paradise:

"Damn, and who might that be...?", it was impossible to miss her, after all that woman stood out like a sore thumb. Starting with her caprine features, far more pronounced than those of the average demi human. Hell, her appearance was almost devilish in a way, leaving Kanna wondering whether the woman was even a demi human at all. In the end, what finally caught her attention were the weapons she set to the side as she sat down to eat. By contrast, Kanna looked completely laid back, if still observant of her surroundings. Clad in a plain orange T-shirt and a tight pair of blue jeans, her arms adorned with tattoos and a couple of bandaids as souvenirs from her last brawl. In the end, she took another chug of her beer, setting it down with a sigh as she put out her cigarette in the nearest ashtray as she spoke up, nodding at the woman's weapons with a knowing smile, "Rough day, I take it?"

Not everyone comes to the table fully armed after all... But in the end, after all this beer, Kanna felt far less reserved than she otherwise would be, and figured she'd much rather make conversation for once.

Herald
Herald didn’t really pay attention to a large portion of the crowd that was using the inn to relax or have their meals. It was fair to say that if left be she would just continue drinking till she decided to pick something out to eat herself. Her attention was firmly set on what she was partaking in; so when she was addressed it took her a moment.

Her ears flicked and her strange red eyes took in the individual who decided to actually talk to her and not just stare or glare at her. Their outfits were practically polar opposites of one another. Herald decided to finish her drink before saying anything; waving at the server for another pint.

You could say something like that.

There was a soft chuckle; her weapons were in surprisingly good condition. Though they hadn’t seen much in the way of combat. She was just used to people being a little more flavorful with her appearance or her arriving in locations. So placing her weapons in plain view along with right in reach would keep idiots away and… well curious onlookers like this one exactly that. She’d lean a little bit forward, resting her head on one hand and motioning with the other.

Pack of werewolves out on the ‘farms’. Don’t know why but doin work like that leaves me hungry or thirsty afterwards.

With her drink arriving she’d make a motion for the server to bring another; downing the drink without really much issue. Was the constitution of the demi human that impressive or was it the fact that the beer here wasn’t as heavy hitting as what she was used to drinking? It could be a mix of both but herald liked to think it was her tolerance for the finer things. Even though she had her drink flat in her face, it wasn’t hard to see that she was inspecting the person who decided to talk to her.

Name’s Herald. What’s yours?

Now the main question in her mind was how the mysterious woman would take her approach. Most of the rough sorts like the two of them didn't usually take kindly to strangers asking question about the tools of their trade, but hey... Things change after knocking back a mug or two. Besides, a cozy, homey enough inn like this one had a way of taking the edge off, after all, few of the regular patrons could recall the last time a brawl broke out here. Kanna took another chug of her mug as those red eyes turned on hers, a soft smile on her face as the blonde finally caught the woman's attention:

"Shit, werewolves huh...? And here I was dealing a with a whole other sort of beasts, but they don't even come close to that~", she quipped, a lopsided grin on her face, silently impressed by the woman's words. Kanna was strong, sure, for a human at least... She could beat most ordinary humans in a fair fight, but those guild mages were a whole different animal entirely.

She'd heard tales about some powerful mages being able to level mountains with spells, and though she never witnessed it herself, she honestly believed it... But werewolves... The creatures of the night were always stronger than humans, or even demi humans for that matter... Which made these woman's words all the more impressive:

"Yeeeeah i feel that~... Ain't nothing like a good meal after a hard day's work like that.", she chimed back, her smile widening into a grin as she downed what remained of her mug, turning towards the bar, calling out to the bartender, pointing towards her empty mug, silenty ordering herself a new one before she lifted herself off her bench and walked up to the other woman's table, taking a seat closer to so they could talk without, well... Without a table between them, or needing to raise their voice, "Call me Kanna. Nice to meet ya."

Indeed, the beer here wasn't that strong. Kanna had already downed a couple of mugs, and though she felt the faintest hints of a buzz, she was still far from drunk or anything remotely resembling it. Settling her shapely rear onto her new seat, she rose her elbows back over the table, cupping her cheek with one hand:

"So... Fuckin werewolves huh? Is there a trick to takin' em down or anything...?", in the end, she simply indulged in her curiosity. During her days working with or for various gangs, she'd met and mingled with various supernatural beings... But the idea of taking down werewolves with nothing but one's fists seemed... Almost suicidal.
