The guild hall floated high above the air, keeping most of the heat from the fiery volcano below at bay. Maël was none too happy about its current placement, being a pretty firm hater of any kind of heat, let alone that of a volcanous mountainside. Still though, many of the areas of the hall were still pretty cool and dark all things considered, including the grand library: which was the main place Maël wanted to be in anyways. His curiosities as of late had led him to wanting to discover more about interdimensional portals, and so it led him to the best library he knew: not just because of its selection, but because of the clientele. While he had only met a few of the members of Collective Mind he had so far liked all of them, and he was very eager to meet more. Unfortunately for him the guild hall was often empty, but at least the books were still around.

Maël's eyes perused the shelves, twiddling a little part of his messy hair on the side. Nothing on this one. Grabbing his somewhat heavy bag from the floor and bringing it along with him, Maël turned the corner to reach the other side of the shelf when BAM, there was someone else! He had barely even gotten enough time to process what had just happen, only letting out a "Sorry." in a much more calm voice than one would expect, though this was due to his personality, not any kind of rudeness. It all happened so fast that Maël hadn't even gotten a good look at his guildmate either. Reaching his hand down, Maël took in the sight of this new individual as he extended his offer help.

Pumo didn't stand a chance in the collision, toppling to the ground with a soft squeak. The hall had been vacant for the most part so she wasn't paying much attention before running into a sturdy body. Her nose stung a little but she could handle that at the very least. Pomu adjusted her glasses as her vision came back into view gazing up at a tall figure reeling his hand out at her. Her first instinct was to scoot back though taking a moment to evaluate, he wasn't at all hostile to her.

A recent attack still had her shook, but she accepted his hand regardless. "i-it's fine, my head was in the clouds is all." She let out a soft giggle clutching her wrist behind her hand. Even if he wasn't going to attack her, he was still a new face. Her head was spinning with scenarios while she picked her next actions carefully.

Maël took a good look at the new face below him, a guildmate whom he had neither talked to nor seen before. Perhaps a new recruit? It was hard to tell sometimes, with many of the guild members being away from the hall for months at a time. She was cute though: nice  glasses, messy hair (just like his!) and an overall very bookworm-y look. Maël could certainly find something in common with girls like her. "Quite literally." Maël' commented, referring to the location they were in in the first place. He would get the girl right to her feet with a firm pull, revealing that she was pretty short and he was definitely very tall. She practically looked like a child next to him, though Maël had gotten used to that feeling with a lot of women.

"You're new here, aren't you? I can kinda tell." He asked with a friendly smile, still holding her hand. He brought his other hand to her's, clasping onto it. "My name is Maël. I've been here for a few months now." It had truly been more than a few, but that just rolled off the tongue a little bit better. It was more than likely that this girl was the only other one in the building at the moment. If he wanted any kind of company, he had best get on her good side - quick. "And how about you, lovely?" He asked, seeing how she would react to a very cheesy way of addressing her being thrown on at the end of the sentence. Little things like that were perfect for getting all the best details on what kind of person someone was.

Her eyes would veer away from him as he spoke, unable to hide the flush growing on her face the moment their hands touched. She felt she could not retreat with both her hands in his gentle grasp though still, her feet made a subtle fidget as if they wanted to back away though they realized they couldn't. "O-oh! I-I believe you've mistaken me for someone else~" She had never been called lovely before. The only time she had heard the word was as a sweet gesture her parents would say to each other. Her hands got a bit sweaty from the comment but she tried her best to keep her composure.

"I-I'm Pomu, Pomu Tizabu~ I arrived here not too long ago. I-I heard this place really encourages curiosity~" She wanted to make eye contact though every time her gaze found his her eyes would dart away. She was nervous, very nervous. After her travels, she didn't know what to expect from him but she smiled anyways be it out of habit or an attempt to keep her persona going.

Maël watched her as much as he could, making note of how she'd react at different parts of what he said. Based on her reponse it was pretty clear she had low self-confidence - her manner of speaking, her intense humbleness, her... wait a second. It was obvious that she didn't have much from the moment he looked at her. Why was he acting like this was some kind of huge discovery? "No need to be so humble." He'd calmly say, his smile growing just a little bit wider slowly but surely. After having met that Kali girl only just recently, Maël had to admit that someone like this woman was a much needed palatte cleanser. Easier to deal with, for sure...

"Very nice name. And you're right, it really does." Maël's eyes took themselves away from Pozy so that he could gaze upon the shelves of the library, still impressed by the sheer magnitude of reading material here. "Between this, the area where they keep all the rare animals, the labs... it really is a scholar's dream, isn't it?" He asked, not even trying to act this way for the sake of picking someone up - he genuinely meant that. Still though, regardless of the fact that a pretty girl was around, Maël needed to finish looking into what he wanted to look into. Maybe it was time to... no, no. Scratch that. He didn't care about that anymore. His mind was pretty set. "How about I show you around? There are some facilities I'm sure you haven't explored yet. The rec area, the pool, the observatory, the torture chamber..." Maël was definitely kidding on that last one, yet his delivery made it seem like it was a real place. "I could show you any of it." He looked back at Pomu, meeting her eyes and gripping her hand just a tad tighter than before, pulling her a tiny bit closer to him. "Anywhere you wanna check out first?"

Pomu blinked her eyes for a moment "T..Torture chambers?" She paused for a moment to analyze what he just said, not understanding he was being satirical. The building did seem to be devoted to discovery but could they really have taken it that far? Her face showed distress as thought slowly turned to fantasy. She imagined a sort of mad doctor setting with an evil doctor rearranging the brains of people and animals. It wasn't quite the best image for horror though when you've been kept inside all your life anything seems scary.

"I-if... we could avoid those I wouldn't mind having a small tour." She was a bit startled but she hadn't seen a building this big, though that was saying much as the biggest room she had seen was her living room. Even still the place was like a labyrinth, twisting and turning on itself. She found herself circling back quite a few times and admittedly, she may have been lost. She could never bring herself to say that, however, not because of pride but because she could hardly speak, to begin with.

Watching her reactions Maël became a bit suspicious of this girl's ability to detect sarcasm: she did look kind of like a bookworm, perhaps she just wasn't used to hearing humor out loud. "Alright, I'll scratch the torture chamber off the list. The dungeon too, I assume." He joked once more, finding a little fun in the sadism that was knowing the way she'd react to it. Taking her hand, Maël placed one of the books on a large stack that other guild members sort of just left lying there and led Pomu outside of the library into the other portions of the huge floating castle.

Maël and Pomu walked down a hallway with a large window that overlooked the landscape both in front of them and below them: in this instance, that landscape was a fiery land ridden with molten rock and lava. "Can't say I'm a fan of the location this time around." Maël grimaced, an annoyed look on his face. Why would they even need to be here? "Have you been hanging around in the guild hall for a while, Pomu?" He asked, thinking that perhaps she had hopped on in a previous location and has just been riding it out for a while. "Your skin looks quite pale - seems like you've been sitting inside for a long while, just like me." He noted, his eyes glancing her face, then her hands. This girl was about as white as snow. "Haven't you gotten a little lonely? Knowing this guild, I may very well be the second person you've seen."

Pomu tried to hide her face from him as she turned away. She wasn't sure whether to take being pale as an insult or a complement but either way she found it embarrassing, a faint blush tinting her cheeks. "I-i didn't go outside much as a kid. I'd rather sit down and read a book instead" It sounds awkward saying it out loud but it was the truth. Hearing her own secluded life made her a bit more anxious. This was about the only person she had seen so far and she didn't want to scare them off.

"It is quite empty here but i dont mind it. I-im not one for socializing." She looked out into the blazing environment still too afraid to look at him. It was nothing like she ever seen before, rocks seemed to have a life of their own in their magma form, a simple touch set the landscape ablaze, and the heat was intense even from up in the air. "The outside world is so amazing~ How could anyone dislike this?"
