Ikanbi
Ikanbi set out in all black with mottled grey today, and her bright hair was covered in a shaw that wrapped around her face and revealed only her eyes. She gingerly and quickly stepped about the docks and scurried onto the boat with the rest of the hunting party and made their way off shore a ways to the pit. A din, a cove, a swampy lair where the creature slumbered, spotted and tracked by associates of her family. It would be an easy mark, truly, if things went her way as she intended. All in all, it was decided magic wouldn't likely be necessary for this kill.

Still, there was a significantly notable combat mage with them should things go south, but Ikanbi had a sense it wouldn't be all that worrisome in the long run and she supposed it didn't matter particularly whether or not she had brought the enchanted gun. Oh well, she supposed after a moment of thought. Indeed, she tried hard to clear her mind of her wilder thoughts. As the boat set sail across the water for the short journey, she instead drifted her thoughts wildly and remembered a lavish week back in Desierto. Truly, things were not quite the same in Astera. The water called to her however, and she felt its song within her bones. She felt a calling here, as though she could do great work with her skillset on the water. True, she was a novice for now, but as a hunter she was indeed well accomplished already for her age.

She drank from the bottle presented to her, some weird enchantment mixed into a hard liquor. It went down like salt and she made a face and stared at the drink in her hand in bewilderment before passing it to the next, then was delighted to find the taste had been replaced with lime quite quickly and her mouth was filled with an overwhelming amount of sour. This reaction happened to everyone on the boat that drank from the bottle, in some regard or another, and Ikanbi chuckled as did the rest of them at the experience. They docked the boat soon after, and Ikanbi and her associates stepped out onto the swamp and made way for the cave. Silently and swiftly they walked and stalked about and danced through the brush. Quickly they closed in on the cave of the creature, this shapeshifting bear of sorts that kept messing with the food supply. Disrupting sailors, stealing entire nets of fish, it had been a true menace to the workers here. Enough had been enough, and they had called for the specialists. Ikanbi and the other hunters had come, and Ikanbi silently stalked into the cave, careful as she could to be as quiet as possible.

Quietly she held exhaled slowly and then held for a long time as she neared the creature, then inhaling just as slowly and sinking her knife directly into the creatures neck and twisting it violently. She ran it the length of the throat, then kicked the creature in the ribs hard with her boot and stomped on its head with her heel before leaving the cave and returning to the boat, wiping the blood from her knife, then finally exhaling again.
