Hitomi Minamoto was currently in the forest outskirts yet again for another training session with another Rune Knight known as Shichiro Uchida. She had been called out here by him in order to fulfill a request of his that she didn't have any knowledge of prior. With Kusanagi fasted and tucked at the side of her hips, the women had awaited for her superior on a nearby stump of the forest outskirts. It was a bright day yet the appearance had betrayed the weather a bit as it was quite windy, leading it to lead towards the cold side of things. Letting out a small sigh, she did wish her superior would have already been here by the time she had gotten the request but alas there was nothing she could do but await his arrival.

Giving it some thought, she figured she'd get a bit of practice in when it comes to swinging her sword around a bit as she waited but she currently;y wasn't in the mood to do so. Instead, she decided she would just patiently wait for the man to arrive some more before she decided to take her next action on the matter at hand.

Shichiro had asked one of his subordinates to meet him in the outskirts of the forest in order to request a favor from them. This would be rather difficult to explain how his magic worked to somebody else but it needed to be done in order for him to be effective. With all the training sessions he's had with Hitomi, he's learned she was a capable supporting mage and would like to learn how to be much more effective when it comes to aiding his comrades when they are in a group fight. It would be nice to coordinate better if people had a role and Shichiro would love to excel in as many of them as he could.

Well that was enough on that matter as he made his way through the forest in order to get to his destination where he would meet said subordinate. Maybe this wouldn't be too hard to explain as she had already seen him consume one of her spells already as test to see if he could. Making it to his destination, he say Hitomi sitting on a stump waiting for his arrival. Giving a wave, he asked if she had been waiting long. Afterwards, he'd follow up by saying, "I need a favor. I need you to use all of your spells on me or within three feet of me."

Waiting a few more moments, Hitomi had spotted Shichiro not too far from her location as he approached her while waving. He greeted her, asking if she had waited at this spot long to which she had replied, "No, I just got here myself." afterward, her su[erior had told her, he needed a favor and had asked her to throw all of her spells towards him or at least use them while he was within three feet of him. This puzzled her a bit seeing as she could cast them a lot further than three feet of course but there must be some reason why he specified three feet. Giving a nod, she decided she would comply with his request as it was fairly simple enough.

This must have something to do with how he had eaten a spell of hers previously and probably wanted to be of help to him in some way shape or form. Although she wanted to ask now, she figured it was best to ask after the fact, considering maybe he'd be in a more talkative mood once she had fulfilled his request. Standing up from the stump, she decided it was time and got ready to cast some spells for her superior.

Feeling a bit of relief, Shichiro was glad he didn't take up too much of her time asking her to come out all the way here for a selfish favor. After asking her for his favor and waiting for her response, it seems she had began to comply without saying anything. Watching her stand up from the stump she was sitting on, it seems she was ready to begin with the odd favor. Shichiro to would get into position by walking as close to Hitomi as possible until he was within three feet of her. This was as far as he could be if he wanted to consume all of her spells properly without any complications.

All Shichiro could do now was wait for her to cast the first spell and consume it so he could gain the ability to use it himself. Unfortunately, the knowledge wasn't just shot into his head in a single go. He'd have to then train himself in order to use said spell he had consumed prior. In the end, it'd be worth it if he could gain as many spells and abilities as he possibly could in order to bolster his strength and capabilities when it comes to being in certain situations.

Hitomi decided she would try and cast as many spells as she could in one go so she could allow him to consume as many of her spells as possible in a short amount of time. Since Shichiro said all of her spells she decided she would start with even the lowest of ranks. Hitting the heel of her foot to the ground, a gray magic circle appears under her feet. She had activated the spell, "Sanguine Control" in order to walk on walls, water, and the like as if she were walking on solid ground. Next, she tapped the heel of her foot on the ground causing a grey magic circle to appear under it and performed a magical lunge toward shichiro that only moved her a few inches closer. She then brought her hands towards her chest, hands together in a cupping motion towards the middle of her chest, A magic circle forms, and a beautiful gem appears on her chest. The gem lets off a bright light that brightens any dark area she's in. Lastly, she began to step towards Shichiro and tapped the heel of her foot on the ground causing a magic circle to appear on her ankle in order to change her movement backwards the same distance she moved previously.

Now it was time to get down to business Shichiro thought to himself, watching Hitomi perform four spells in rapid succession. Of course, he had no intention of letting them complete their course, regardless of what it is or what they did. So, he decided to just eat them outright. The first spell Shichiro had consumed was the ability to walk on damn near anything as if it was a solid surface. This would prove to be very useful in the grand scheme of things. The next spell he consumed was the ability to magical lunge forward in order to add a quick burst of speed into one's step. Another useful ability to have in niche situations to where he has to move quickly. The following spell Shichiro consumed was being able to make a bright light in the form of a gem around his upper torso. He wasn't sure what use this would have but he figured he could keep it around for reasons, just in case he would need it. The final spell consumed was another spell that had to do with changing directions mid motion. Another useful spell he could see himself using in the future. After consuming the four spells his subordinate had casted, he had given her a thumbs up as a sign to continue.

Watching Shichiro consume her spells, she found this act a bit strange but she had already seen him do it before to another dragon slayer way back when. The only thing that was puzzling to her as they both had completely different attributes when it came to their magic. Still, she was confident all would be explained later as she continued to honor her superior's request of throwing every spell she currently knew at him. The next volley of spells would be an easy task as she only needed to perform one motion for all three of them. Extending her left arm towards Shichiro, she began to point towards him and simultaneously cast three spells that he was all too familiar with, though at a lower potency than she did the very first time. She had given Shichiro three different enhancements which were visible to the naked eye in the form of a horn, claws, and dragon scales. Lowering her arm, she had one more trick up her sleeve as she prepare to move in a different way. Snapping her fingers with her right hand, a magic circle appears under her feet, a pulse of arcane energy expels from her body. Hitomi would then wait until she got the sign for when she could start casting more spells.

After giving the signal to his subordinate known as Hitomi it was back to business as usual. He had already consumed the spells she had performed and it was time to move onto the next set of spells ion her arsenal. Watching her raise her left hand towards him, pointing as she began to cast a spell. Shichiro had been mistaken however as it had been three spells she had utilized that all took one motion. In a few seconds, Shichiro found himself with the claws of a dragon, the horns of a dragon and the scales of one too. He had to admit, with this many buffs on him, he felt pretty powerful. But alas, he couldn't enjoy that feeling for long as he had to consume all of the spells one by one until they were no more. It would be useful to have these kinds of abilities even though he mostly fights alone, excluding his companion Panther Lily of course. So these buffing spells will always have some kind of use in the end. Now that he consumed the buffs, he watched as Hitomi began to snap her fingers. A pules had begun to erupt from her body but Shichiro had consumed it before it travelled anywhere near him. A useful detection spell, Shichiro thought to himself.

Now that she was used to seeing her superior consume her spells with relative ease, she also felt more comfortable using her higher ranking spells. Now that he was done consuming those she would prepare the next set of spells in her arsenal for him to consume. Once again, she extended her left hand towards her superior, Shichiro and once again she had simultaneously casted three of her buffing spells that gave Shihciro the visage of horns of a dragon, the claws of a dragon and the scales of a dragon once more. The difference between the spell used prior and the one used now was this one was far more potent than the last three spells. She figured it was a good idea to make weaker and stronger versions of the same buffs in order to control how much of a boon one needed in order to reach the next level of potential. After casting the enhancements on Shichiro's person again. She had begun to cast another spell for him to consume. Tapping her temple, a magic circle appeared for a moment a few inches from their eyes and then vanished, leaving a greyish aura around the eyes. While looking through the aura covering her eyes, she could see all things magical.

Finishing up with the consumption of the previous spells, it seems Hitomi had taken the initiative to begin casting the next set of spells for him to consume. He hadn't given her the signal yet but he liked the initiative she had taken to start casting the next set of spells for him right after he had consumed them. Well now that they had gotten to this point, he had no choice but to continue to consume the spells she was throwing at him. He would have liked to take a break but he couldn't complain since this request was his idea. Once the buffs were on his person, Shichiro had begun to consume each other's spells one by one in order to begin the unique process of his magic. Once he was done eating the three of those spells, Hitomi cast another spell that had a different trigger. When she was done casting it, it left a weird grey aura covering her eyes. Shichiro assumed it gave her a magical sight of some kind before deciding he should consume that one too. After he was done eating it, he decided to brace himself for the next set off spells for him to consume and learn.

Once her superior had finished eating the spells she had casted, she would begin to cast the next set of spells which was basically a stronger version of the previous iterations of the enhancing spell effects. This is what her superior wanted however and she would fulfill his request if he thinks it would help him in his future conquests. Once again, she'd extend her left hand towards her superior, pointing at him in order to cast the next set of enhancement spells, stronger than the previous ones. Once again the visage of dragon claws, horns and scales had appeared on Shichiro's person. She was expecting him to eat them once again so as he did that, she would begin to cast her other spell Clapping her hands together, a magic circle had appeared over Shichiro's head. A droplet of blood had fallen from the sky above Shichiro. This was a healing spell she had invented in order to assist her comrades should she ever find herself on the battlefield with them. With that, she waited for Shichiro to consume the spells so she could move on to the last two spells she had in her arsenal which were just the most potent buffing spells she had.

Watching his subordinate perform the same gesture once again, he assumed it was another volley of enhancements that were more powerful than the last. With that in mind, Shichiro was already ready to consume the spells being used on him. Like the previous instances, Shichiro had taken the appearance of some sort of magical, humanoid dragon creature again. Once again, he'd go to work eating the enhancements that were currently on his person. It didn't take long to eat them as he was already used to consuming the lesser versions of these spells so it was pretty easy. Moments had passed since he had eaten the three of them but there was a fourth spell he was unfamiliar with. A magic circle had appeared over his person causing Shichiro to look up over him and take a look. Staring at it for a certain amount of time, all he could see coming out of it was a red droplet from the circle. He was unsure what it was but he had already deduced he'd figure it out at a later point in time before using his consumer ability on that too. Dematerializing it and turning it into mana, he learned it was a healing spell that was to simulate dragon's blood. He was now ready for the final two spells.

Watching as her superior had gulped down the spells used, she smiled as it seemed like he was really enthusiastic about this whole scenario. She still didn't know why he needed to do this kind of thing with her and her specifically but it isn't like she could refuse without any good reason. Maybe he had some sort of illness that needed him to consume mana from here or something along those lines. He was clearly a slayer of some kind as far as she could tell. Well they were almost finished as she only has two more spells to cast which would be her most powerful supporting spells. She only had two this time around so she figured it was best to use them both at once. Extending her left hand towards Shichiro, she'd point towards him, giving him the strongest enhancement of Dragon Claws and Horns that she could muster. After she was done, that was it. That was all she could use for the time being and hoped Shichiro would be happy with all that she had given him. With that, she had patiently waited, wondering what all of this effort was for in the first place. If Shichiro had forgotten, she would give him a gentle reminder.

It was finally time. Time for him to learn the most powerful spells that Hitomi had available at the moment. Watch her carefully, she had begun to extend her left hand towards him in an attempt to cast a spell or two. Simultaneously, both of the enhancement spells had been casted. As usual, he'd wait a few seconds for the enhancements to take effect, although he could just eat them while the spell traveled towards him but he felt like he wouldn't gain as much knowledge of the spell if he simply just ate it without even looking at its appearance once. After they had taken their effects, he began to consume them like he did the previous spells. When he was done, he was excited to start training them right away but he figured he owed Hitomi an explanation of some sort. "Oh yeah, the reason why I called you out here in order to eat your spells is because I'm not like other dragon slayers. You see, I can't train and invent magic spells on my own like you and other dragon slayers, I have to learn them by consuming yours and mimicking it. If I get enough of a combination, I can do things most dragon slayers can't, like mix, match and combine them. Well, now you know my secret. Thanks for today Hitomi and I'll see you at work." With that, Shichiro gave her a nod and decided to depart. He'd have to get her a gift of some kind to repay her one of these days.
