“Special delivery!” A happy little cry announcing her arrival at the shipyard of what was now her home port of Hargeon, it had to be said that while Sofia Serena was certainly in no way underestimating the enormity of the task which lay ahead of her she was in high spirits when it came to the task that she had been assigned, and for an added kick was looking rather darling to boot.
“Whew, I'm surprised a shop owner could have held onto all this… Must've taken up his whole warehouse, right?” So often seen in a long, sweeping dress or gorgeous gown but today the ensemble of the emerald eyed enchantress simpler and orientated more toward the workplace she stood before, as she waved for cart after cart of timber to carry on the wife of the White Empress was looking rather sweet in the choice of a green set of coveralls which seemed to really set off her gaze, and wore a scarlet banana with it that looked so perfect atop her crown that it was a wonder why she had never thought of wearing something like this before.

“Well, I suppose it's about time we got on with the real work, huh?” For some reason amused by her ensemble to no end as well, given the difference to how she looked typically and the orientation of her outfit as well the bubbly brunette couldn't help but feel a little bit giddy, like she was wearing her father's work clothes or mother's high heels for the first time, and enjoyed the costumed element so much that she couldn't help but draw her thumbs down the straps over her shoulders and highlighted the dark crop top she wore beneath it as she did so.
“I can't wait to see how all this will turn out?” Equally eager about the mission to which she had been assigned as well, however, and that the reason that she all too keenly strutted into the workplace and scooped up a set of tools for herself as well, in all honesty after spending all that time in the mountains of Myras this task seemed perfect for her to reacquaint herself with her true love, or at least one of them. After all, what better job for a woman of the sea than building a ship, eh?

“Yeah, and then in you just… Add a couple of tweaks, like that? Not big stuff, just really making the best use of her curves, really…” Taking to the task like a fish might take to water as well and that never more evident as she took a momentary break from the boards and beams to share a little idea she had with the figure who had drafted the vessel they were to build, so excited and eager was the emerald enchantress that she barely even noted the way in which she was making cheeks of the young man next to her grow rosy as she leaned in close to him with pencil in her hand and her rump stuck out behind her and made a little revision to the plan that they had been given, and even though she was rather overstepping her bounds to do so felt quite pleased with the intention of what she was doing.
“My uncle said these little changes can make all the difference at sea?” More knowledgeable about the mechanisms of the sea than her pretty face and bobbing booty might have implied because of the place from which she had come from, after all, one did not grow up as the niece of Valerica's 'Leviathan' without learning a thing or two about how a ship worked, and she was happy to share the nuggets of knowhow which had made that small island nation a force to be reckoned with for the sake of her new home now. Even if it did seem to take the new figure beside her a second or two to realize what she was getting at…

If he could see me now, huh? Passing on the Admiral's Top Tops? Smiling in fact as she tended to assume that her Uncle Nik would have been proud of her to do so as well, whilst he was a force to be reckoned with in battle the man who led the navy in her homeland was an adventurous and generous spirit who seemed to love the sea and the surf more than anything, and alongside his sister had been the person who had helped his niece discover the first thing in the world she would have ever fallen in love with. By that measure it only seeming right that she put everything she had at her disposal in order to build something that they could both be proud of, in a weird way Miss Serena felt what seemed almost like a competitive spirit when it came to this design and what they were trying to achieve here, like she wanted to create something that could live up to and surpass the legacy and lineage she had been given.

Gotta to make something even he would be impressed by, won't I? Otherwise I'd be a sorry daughter of the Valerican seas, hm~? That the reason why she was so keen to get involved here even if she ran the risk of ruffling the odd feather here and there, the simple fact was that the sandy haired siren saw this as the start of something incredible, and couldn't resist the urge to throw herself into the deep end because of that. Whether that be getting used to shaping boards and planks with her hands or offering cunning critique of their construction, all she could picture in her mind was the look on the face of her mother's brother if he ever happened to come to this harbour, and how amazed he would be if he knew that the brightest object in it was something she had helped to make. That almost felt worth the wait she had to see him, didn’t it?

She's coming together nicely, isn't she? A day of hard work making the body of the brunette ache right down to her bones but that seeming worth it when Sofia had the chance to see their how their new 'baby' looked with those last embers of sunset bearing down on it, while it was clear from the fact that the craft they were creating was looking like little more than a carcass which had nearly been picked clean by the dogs as rib-like struts stretched upward to the sky, this young lady was certainly rather proud of what she had achieved, and hoped that she wasn't the only one near the docks who was either.

“Looks like we kicked some major ass today, huh?” Smiling happily as she turned on her heels and tugged one of the straps that hung from her shoulders away from her body and then the other, the garment of the girl with the green gaze sagged to her waist as Miss Serena looked toward the plucky team of woodworkers that had achieved this fine result on their first day, and grinning gal herself had to offer them a bit of verbal recompense for all that they had achieved thus far. It had been tough graft, but worth it, that was for sure.

“And I'd say we've earned a drink. First round's on me, OK?” Also sure that the men around her had earned a little more than just a compliment from the young woman who had joined them as well and because of that all too happy to offer them something a little more physical and hopefully even more rewarding as well, Sofia could feel the slick of sweat and salt that coated her body and knew from experience that such a sensation was only going to make the beer she had soon taste even better, and guessed everyone felt that way. Sure they were sore, but that was nothing that ale and laughter and a good night's sleep couldn't cure, right?

"By the grace of Illumin, this is what you made? And it only took three days…?"

Sufficed to say the figure who had given her this mission was rather impressed with the results that Miss Serena had brought about, though her body felt like she had crawled her way through the den of a dragon and made it out the other side her enthusiasm was not diminished in the slightest, even if she wasn't wearing her cute coveralls any longer.
She certainly does look like a picture, doesn’t she? If anything only more excited by the splendour that sat proudly at the end of the Hargeon docks, whilst the sight of a beautiful ship was something which always seemed to get this green gazed girl excited the knowledge that it had been completed by her own crafting and craftiness only made the image all the more appealing, and helped this temporary turner of timber to feel all the more terrific about the effort she had put into it.

“Of course, you think we'd settle for second best?” Resting her mitts upon her hips as the lord of the land seemed to be so very, very enraptured by what he saw and smirking as she did so, Sofia puffed her chest out proudly as she showed off the fruits of her and more than a dozen others labour, and flicked her hair out as she did so.
“Besides, you haven't heard the best part yet? Wanna know what we think you should name her~?” Thrilled by the reception she was receiving but all the more elated by what was yet to come, though she was certainly appreciative of the instant interest that their effort had inspired in this man this was by no means the totality of the 'gift' they were to give him, and the meat of the matter was yet to come really. Sure she looked good, but there was one surprise left in this wonderful new girl, and a show-woman like this siren certainly made sure she was saving the very best bit for last…

"Hmmmmm… I-Im not sure what one would call a ship, especially one this grand?"

The lovestruck lord having trouble peeling his attention away from the awesome aquatic craft which had been conjured by the people at the dockyards, but even when he summoned the will to do so his mind seeming ill fitted for the games of the girl with the green gaze, though he was certainly seeming to be intrigued by the topic the circumstance didn't appear to leave him open to speculation. Which was fine, really. Sofia had only asked him more out of playfulness and panache after all.

“Well, we came up with it pretty quickly, really? Only a few drinks in?” The woman herself winking in response as well and then tilting her head to one side, all the while Miss Serena wore a broad smile as she continued her little bout of showmanship for this rare example of a tolerable noble, and wagged her finger playfully as she boasted of the creativity that had been shown by herself and the lads she worked with whilst sharing an ale or two after a hard day of graft.

“After all, what ship would be better to protect all of us here in Hargeon than the 'Reverent Regis'?” By no means wishing to appear too sycophantic but really given recent events there no choice when it came to the topic of a title for their creation than a little nod toward the name of the father of the figure they were building it for, the smile of the siren took a gentle turn and so did her tone as she revealed the effort of monument that she and her cohorts had made when it came to the craft before them, and was delighted to see that it was well received.
“It felt like the perfect name to us?” Tears forming in the eyes of their client and a hand reaching up to his mouth but a moment after he found recognition in their choice of suggestion, it was nice to see their efforts rewarded by a genuine display of emotion, and naturally a woman like Sofia could only smile and embrace the man in response to this.
