Winning his previous fight, Shichiro was quite ecstatic from his last round of the tournament he had participated in. He got a hefty amount of jewels for each match won on top of having a chance at winning the grand prize. Grinning from ear to ear, Shichiro made his way back to a certain alleyway where he was conversing with a talking, black cat that claimed it would join him on his journey around Fiore. However, making it back to the usual spot where he would be able to talk with said cat, hje realized the large, black cat and it's little posse of smaller cats had vanished. Looking from left to right, Shichiro pondered on what might have happened in the months he had been taking a break in between said tournament. Well, this was disappointing for him. He knew the cat radiated a mass amount of magical power and figured he would be able to gain its favor so it would accompany him with helping apprehend criminals. Well, since he can no longer find the cat, he figured it was time for him to move on and just look for a new companion. Now that he couldn't bet on getting a strong companion, Shichiro's mood had somewhat dampened as he placed his hands into the pockets of his navy blue pants. it was almost time for the next round of the tournament to start anyway so he figured he should at least get ready to prepare for that bout. Returning to one of many large, coliseums that would hold his battle in, Shichiro entered the waiting period whilst double checking the equipment he currently had on his person. Fastening his Bruiser Gauntlet onto his right arm, Shichiro always found it weird that shopkeepers only sold one gauntlet as a weapon instead of two as a pair of armor or something along that line.

It felt weird that he didn't have something to go along with this but in due time, he figured he'd make his own claw to go on his off-hand similar to a warrior that would help him out greatly. Next, he placed his Helm of the Werewolf king onto his head as it was just standard protection, as well as augmented his werewolf capabilities to a degree. For something made mostly of fake fur, it was quite heavy under most circumstances but nothing Shichiro couldn't handle with his substantial strength. He was already wearing his magically, enchanted Jaan Earrings which increased his constitution greatly. He was amazed at how something so small could afford him so much power just by putting them on. It wasn't like it was armor, a helmet or a weapon. Same goes for the ring known as Gheed's Greed. Although it wasn't an ornament for combat, he still wore it regardless since he had misplaced it for a long time. He was glad to have found it but unfortunately, he couldn't say the same for another ornament he had in his possession recently. Well, it's not like he used it much anyway since he was confident in his navigation abilities anyway, somewhat. Unlike most participants, Shichiro had no armor to wear as he couldn't be bothered to buy some with how powerful his natural abilities were as a werewolf. Now that he had everything ready to go, he entered the arena when the announcer had finished his introduction into the area. Walking in, Shichiro had spotted his opponent, getting ready to begin the fight. Shichiro prepared to do the same as the signal to battle had started. With the two contestants running at each other, they had met in the center of the arena in order to be an exchange of blows.

Of course, Shichiro had the upper hand in the physical department seeing as that's all he's mostly ever built up for in terms of combat. With the opponent realizing this, they had attempted to withdraw in order to focus more on their magical abilities. Seeing this as a weakness, Shichiro kept up pursuit in order to keep the advantage he had which worked quite well for him, seeing as he was quite fast. By pressuring and wearing out his opponent, Shichiro held the upper hand before delivering the final blow and ending the match. Shichiro who was once the underdog and newcomer of the tournament was now a crowd favorite and was expected to win the entire competition. Whilst that was a nice goal and all, Shichiro just aspired to win enough times in order to gain entrance into the battle tower he's been hearing rumors about for quite some time. Well, now that he won his match, he was free to exit the venue and take some down time in order to rest, relax or maybe go sightseeing. Exiting the venue, Shichiro decided to go find a task or two to do while he waited. he decided against doing work as he didn't want to dampen his mood even further by taking on another individual's problem so instead, he figured he'd lounge around and think back on that one dream he had where he was fighting as a knight for some foreign country's war. He sort of wished it was real and hoped excitement like that would come his way as well as profit that would follow should he be successful in obtaining all of the glory he aspired for. Finding a comfortable spot in the alley where he used to have conversations with the cat, Shichiro slumped down against a wall, closing his eyes in order to remember the dream he had once had. As he closed his eyes, the memories had started to come back to him.

The sound of horses galloping and metal clashing filled the ears of those around the surrounding area. The smell of blood and sulfur filled the air as well as any would be traveler or solider. Corpses were littered around the area as fires, low and high, were burning all around. Blood soaked blades and broken ammo as far as the eye could see. It was clear there was a war going on although it was unclear who was fighting and why. All only fact of the matter was, there was a brown skin male dressed in a uniform with a large coat and a hood laying in the middle of the battlefield. That was Shichiro there, laying in unfamiliar clothes and colors. He was currently unconscious and was starting to come too. Groggily, he started to open his eyes as the smell of blood, sulfur and smoke began to fill his lungs. Sitting up, Shichiro began to experience a coughing fit from the mixture of smells bombarding his senses. Instinctively, he began to punch his gut as if he was attempting to force the smell of out of his lunges but to no avail. Standing slowly, he felt a little woozy getting up, his eyes clearing up and adjusting from just waking up. Already it felt like a lot to take in. Shichiro then tried to remember what he was doing here. At first he had no clue what he was supposed to do and decided not to think too hard about it. Suddenly, he heard the sound of horses galloping in the distance and it was coming closer to his position. "Search for any survivors", a voice had shouted from through the fog of smoke. Shichiro wasn't sure why, but hearing the voice seems to have filled him with relief as if he knows this person but sure enough, he one hundred percent knows he doesn't.

Deciding to follow his instinct, Shichiro decided he would seek out the voice that was calling out to survivors. He wanted to shout but couldn't muster the strength to do so. It took all he could just to stand up right but he was hanging on. He doesn't fully remember the circumstances for him to be getting hurt this badly but from what he vaguely remembers, he was also riding a horse with a small militia of troops he set out with from a kingdom he had never heard of before. He remembers those troops were also wearing he same peculiar uniform with matching colors too so he assumed they had to be his allies. The horse trotted closer in Shichiro's direction until he could make out what he was seeing since his vision had cleared up by then. Hoping to see a familiar face, Shichiro was disappointed to see a man he still didn't recognize riding on top of a massive white horse. He was wearing the same colors though but the man had all sorts of emblems and a shiny suit of chain mail armor layered under his cloak. The man stared at Shichiro while he looked at the unknown man, gripping his right arm as he started to feel intense pain. "You there boy, state your name, rank and squadron number and i want a full report of what's going on here, what the status of your squad is, where they are located and why in the seven hells are you not with them" the man had exclaimed in a brash tone. Suddenly, Shichiro felt like a dunce for feeling relieved from hearing a guy like this barking orders at him but he might as well give him the answers he wanted, or at least as best as he could. Mustering all the energy he could, Shichiro began to speak the first things that came to his mind.

"Private Shichiro Uchida sir! My rank is lieutenant from the forty third squadron from the medic corps, sir! We've managed to drive back the enemy out of this region but not without suffering heavy casualties! As you can see here, a lot of our own troops have been dispatched or routed. As far as i know, i'm the only one left alive since i had come too recently from an enemy sneak attack." Now, Shichiro wasn't sure how much of that was true but he had a feeling around seventy percent of what came out of his mouth was the truth or so he believed. Still, his report wasn't enough to impress the high ranking officer who after a moment of pause scoffed and began to give his response. "Ah, the squadron with the new commander in charge. I already knew this would be the case. I don't know why he was recommended to lead and now look at what happened. And you there boy, you also were an unfortunate victim under his leadership as well, getting ambushed like that, eh? You also look pretty young yourself so i doubt you now what to do without somebody giving you orders. Fear not, for I have arrived to guide your wayward body to victory. Come along, you yourself look worse for wear but you are a medic are you not? Then here, take this med kit and patch yourself up first. I have instructed my "elite" squadron to make camp up ahead. After you're done, you can make your way up further out of this town and group with them. There, they will give you some supplies to fight and heal as many as you can. You're not out of this one yet. You can rest when you're dead." With that, the high ranking officer had galloped ahead to see if he could find anybody else worth saving.

Before he could reminisce any further, he was briefly interrupted by the sound of a loud noise in one of the nearby trash receptacles. Getting up from his sitting position, Shichiro went to go and check it out, hoping it was the black cat he was conversing with earlier in the year. When he went to check it out, all he found was a dirty lemur that had been searching for scraps of fruit to eat. When it saw Shichiro, it offered him a dried nut to eat, in an attempt to share its 'wealth'. This made Shichiro scoff and he took the nut anyway before deciding to adopt the furry creature anyway. It wasn't like he was going to hold his breath for the cat to come back anyhow. Picking up the lemur with his left hand, it didn't do anything in the form of resistance so he just placed it onto his right shoulder. It didn't seem to mind as it continued to chew what it had managed to salvage in its mouth. Giving a slight shrug, Shichiro decided he could domesticate this thing as long as he gave it some food every once in a while. It seems to have an eye out to find food and shiny things. If he could teach it to find some jewels for him every time he was out on a quest, then maybe he'd make a bit more every time as some sort of side gig. The thing is however, he wouldn't question where the jewels came from and would prefer not to know how it chooses to acquire its spoils. He was a bandit for a little while after all and as long as the lemur didn't kill anybody or get caught, maybe it wouldn't be too bad an idea, so to speak.
