Don’t ask me why, but Rania was still in Marigold Town. It seemed that some things were taking longer than expected to finish up and it prevented her from traveling anywhere. So far, that was okay though because Rania had plans and those plans would be set into motion eventually. Until then, the female Paladin thought that it would be a good idea to continue to help out the people in Marigold. She would leave a good impression and also do everyone here a favour. She would also do herself a favour because everytime she helped someone, it was a positive memory of hers that they kept within themselves and surely in the future, if Rania needed any help or assistance from the people in Marigold, they would come to her aid. But of course this wasn’t why she was doing this. Rania was a naturally good person and that’s why she did this.

But Perhaps money was also a good reason. After all, bills had to be paid and they sure as hell weren’t paying themselves. Rania had definite plans to travel to some place after Marigold, but until then she probably would be better off making more money. After all, traveling cost a lot of money and frankly she had already spent a lot of money on new items that she had bought here in Marigold. Not that it was a bad thing of course, she very much enjoyed shopping and after working so hard she had to upgrade her gear a bit. There was no use if she just sat around in the same used closed all day, right? Rania was very much a simple person and she had no issue spending money that she earned, even though she came from simple backgrounds. As long as she could re-earn that money, all was fine and dandy. She really liked the new grand wizard’s robe she had bought recently. It was fine quality, and had cost a decent sum of money.

It made a lot of sense that it was good for the purpose that she needed it, since it was a robe made specifically for wizards after all. Rania felt as though her spells had gotten much easier to cast ever since she had acquired both the robe and her staff and it made things much easier. Especially in terms of healing people. Not only could she cast them easier now, but also quicker. Back in the day she always felt as though she had to wait a bit before she could recast her spells, but things had gotten much easier thanks to these items. Long story short, it was definitely worth the purchase. And she had already put it to use as well. She had become a capable fighter due to these items and it was honestly a lot of fun. Rania wasn’t usually the type to fight, but of course her spells could be used as such and it was honestly great.

The other day she had been hired by the town’s lord, Fernando De Syllas, to do some cleaning up in the streets at night. Bandits were attacking shops in the middle of the night and it was quite the hassle honestly. Rania had been sent out to take care of it and even though she looked nothing like a warrior or even less a mercenary, it was no problem with her. Her magic was growing more powerful by the minute and she was honestly living for it. In order to improve her abilities though, Rania had to take on more travels and earn a bit more money first. There were a few more items she had her eyes on of course, some things she wanted to buy before continuing her travels to the next city. Perhaps it was a good idea to earn the money here in Marigold she thought, and so she went on her way. Since she was already accustomed to the people here, it was easy to find a place to make money at.

Because of the bandit attacks that had happened the previous night, some things had been destroyed. Mainly buildings and a construction site that had been in the middle of being rebuild anyways, which was honestly kind of annoying. It was a beautiful morning, and the people of Marigold were already working hard to reconstruct everything that had been destroyed, including the few shops that had been attacked by bandits. As per usual, Rania was happy to help. She was the one to find those bandits after all, she had also defeated them so now would be a good time to help out and do the rest of her work. The woman arrived at the scene and was greeted by one of the leaders, who assigned her to a spot where she could help out. Rania wasn’t much for physical work, but she didn’t mind it much either. She pretty much helped where she could, and because manual labor was so exhausting she had to take a break here and there too.

That was okay though and the day went by relatively quickly. In between the work Rania also took a break and decided to prepare refreshing drinks for all the other workers as well, so they could take a sip and refresh themselves before continuing their work. It was summer after all, the weather was relatively warm and she didn’t want anyone to freeze unnecessarily during their workout. It took the whole day but the citizens were surprisingly productive. Every now and then a person also accidently hit their finger instead of the nail with a hammer but of course Rania was immediately there to heal and help out. It was really handy having a person like her among their ranks, and surely the people realized that. She didn’t mind it though. Rebuilding was fun and seeing it all come into place was very satisfying. At the end of the long day, Rania was rewarded a decent sum of money as reward and was allowed to leave to finally rest.
