A park designed to bring the beauty of Joya to Fiore. Odin had never been to Joya before, but he had read enough of their culture to understand what the people of Hosenka were going for. It was a small area in the big city, but it was quite pretty. As the Lich sat in the currently empty park, he could appreciate the area in a way that would be impossible with people gathered, mostly because they'd all be staring at him and probably trying something. He always hated it when people thought they were strong before him, especially when they weren't. One of the more annoying perks of being an undead was that, even when someone wanted to kill you, it was mostly just a nuisance. Odin could not be killed, and yet they always wanted to try.

The moon was high in the sky as the Lich waited for his colleague to arrive. He hadn't bothered wearing his ring, as it was best that the man he was waiting for see the skeletal figure, as that was the one he would recognise best. Despite having only worked together once or twice, both the men had extensive histories of villainy, and that was what Odin was hoping to use. He had written a letter, and stuck it to the town bulletin board under the guise of a quest, however it was one requesting a certain individual. Only one would get the message, and know what it could mean.

Black, come to Sakura Alley at midnight. Lucifer.

Caius sat at the Hosekna Town quest hall in front of the fireplace. He was twirling a coin between his fingers on one hand while he waited for the guild girl to bring him a request. Apparently, the request was one that was written for him specifically. It was crazy to think that people knew he was in town already. He had just gotten here. Word travels fast in Hosenka. It would be something to take note of for the future.

After a few minutes, the guild girl returned with the request as Caius snatched it out of her hand. He unfolded it and read its contents. It referred to him as "Black" was to meet the man named "Lucifer" in an alley. Caius got a pain in his head and put his hand on his forehead. The name sounded familiar but he couldn't put his finger on it. It was the same as when he met with Yumi. This just made him want to meet this Lucifer more.

After getting some directions and waiting until night per the request, Caius had reached the Sakura Alley. Upon reaching his location, there wasn't a man waiting for him but a spooky skeleton. Normal people would freak out by this but he had seen so much in the world of magic he wasn't even fazed. Though he did enjoy it. "Holy shit is that you Lucifer? It looks like you could use a few sandwiches there buddy." Caius laughed at his own jokes before switching to a more serious tone. "But for real though have we met before? I feel like we have. Do you know a tiny little girl who wields a giant axe named Yumi?" Before he heard his request out he wanted some answers.

After a while, a burly man approached Odin. He wasn't the black haired, gi wearing man Odin had trained with once during their time in Grimoire Heart but, then again, he himself wasn't in the position to judge someone not looking the same as they did about five years ago. The Lich had had one of the more drastic changes, but it still made sense to confirm that the man before him was, in fact, his old ally. After all, for what he had planned, Odin would need someone with looser morals than the average mage.

Luckily for Odin, it seemed like Black was more than happy to reveal himself almost instantly. In his defence, it would be fairly normal to assume that the skeleton before you was a dark mage. It was a bit racist, but Odin was used to it at this point. "Yeah it's me, although the name Lucifer hasn't made sense for about three years now. We trained together once, back in the early days of Grimoire Heart." There was still a chance, until he mentioned the name Yumi, that this wasn't in fact Caius, but the events of Grimoire Heart had occurred so long ago that it really didn't matter much if Odin spoke aloud about it. It wasn't like Icarus was going to appear and kill him for speaking of the guild. Besides, if this wasn't Black, then the man had other concerns.

"Haven't seen her in awhile, but you don't forget Yumi. Scary as an old lady, scary as a little demon child. How are you, Black? Been keeping busy?"

Grimoire Heart was the name that was brought up again. He heard the guild had taken over years ago and had thrown the order out of balance. There were dreams Caius had where he was man with spiky black hair throwing god slaying magic around to help them achieve victory. Sometimes he would see this Lucifer and Yumi standing with him in the battle. So now that two people had brought up it, it had to have been true. He had a gut feeling he could trust this man even though that part of his life was a blur.

Caius shook his head from all those thoughts to maintain his focus. Those thoughts of the past hurt his head. Back on topic, he responded to the man's question. "You know I've been living the dream. Dealing drugs, enslaving people, and taking over territories. But let's cut with the formalities. My time is money." Caius lifted up his wrist and pointed to his watch. "You had a request that you wanted me to do. What's the job and how much does it pay? I got a free schedule tonight and can make it quick." If it was former ally it must have been a big job. Caius waited in anticipation of what the details would be.

Quick to move past the, well... past, Caius spoke of his current hobbies. He was a drug dealer, slave trader, and man of conquest. He had been leading a busier life than Odin had been, especially since the Lich had been hiding under the guise of Lucas for a year. He had been silent for some time, but now it seemed like it was time for Odin, and any allies he could gather, to be brought out into the limelight again. But, just as soon as any semblance of small talk started it just as suddenly ended, with the former Grimoire Heart mage asking for Odin to cut to the chase. For a person with him, with many different sources of income, his time was precious, and he didn't like it being wasted.

"This job is not one to be completed tonight. I've got a mission to be completed by someone, well someone a lot older and a lot more powerful than most of Fiore. We, myself and a group of people, are planning to make some changes to Fiore, and we need someone like you. Not only will you gain access to powers you never could've imagined, but you will get to conquest, and then some."

Perhaps Odin was showing his hand too quickly, which is why he decided to hold off on the details of the actual mission first. If Caius wished to work with the Lich, then he would hear of the mission to Sieghart, but not before. Hopefully, the idea of gaining even more power without having to change his sources of income would be appealing to the man. Changing the world of Fiore would mean burning it down, and building it back up. Odin couldn't think of a better deal than getting the chance to aid in that burning.

So it wasn't going to be a one night job? This was going to cost Lucifer a lot if it was a big undertaking. Caius rubbed his hands thinking of how much he could charge him. The way Odin explained the request though was pretty ominous. In fact, it wasn't even him that was offering the request. He was a sort of a middle man for this powerful being they had come in contact with. The goal was to for him and his associates to conquest all of Fiore and make changes to the country. A sharp pain struck Caius' in his head as he fell to one knee. He started to get visions of a man named Crowley giving a similar speech and Caius clapping with his guild mates at the end of it. Back to reality, Caius was able to regain his focus. These damn former Grimoire Heart members kept messing with his head. It would have to be questions to ask later. Not wanting to dwell on it, Caius would ask for more details of the current request.

"Sorry bad hangover." Caius said as an excuse for him falling to the ground. He stood back up and took a deep breath before continuing. The thought of him getting new powers intrigued him. "I'm always up for getting more powerful. You got my attention Lucifer. As long as my crime empire remains untouched, I'm down to start blasting for whatever group you guys are in. So who's this old and powerful being you speak of anyway? They have to be someone big if they got the balls to try to take over the country.

At hearing his words, Caius reacted in a way that Odin was definitely not expecting. He fell to one knee, to which the Lich took a step back, giving him some space. There was the briefest moment, here and then gone so suddenly, where Odin had felt like a true leader. He felt like the likes of Arthurias and Icarus, who led the guild in a previous life. That instantly changed, however, when Caius admitted to having a bad hangover and standing back up. Turns out he wasn't pledging eternal loyalty to a former guild mate as Odin had initially thought, he was just having a rough day. Deciding not to comment on it further, he would just wait as he listened to the man speak, and thankfully it was fruitful.

He's interested. That's all Odin needed, and he had it. The bone white smile permanently etched on his face was fitting as he told Caius more about what they had planned, and who had hired them, "His name is Zagan, apparently trapped in the forest up north for a couple of centuries. Strong enough to make a dragon, and yeah I mean a literal dragon, turn tail and run. It was a wild time." It was as fairly accurate a description of Zagan as Odin could give. Sure, the being had an appearance, but that had nothing to do with the situations. He was extremely powerful, and that was important to know.

"Basically we need to do something in the Sieghart mountain range. Enter a dungeon belonging to some dragon and steal a black key. With that, and one other item that some allies of mine are gathering, we unlock a new power, one that belonged to someone called Nacht, otherwise known as the 'Dragon of the End'. I don't know about you, but any kind of power that has that level of reputation is one I want to get my hands on."

Zagan? The name didn't ring a bell at all. Odin boasted that this man was strong enough to create a dragon using his magic powers. History books had mentioned dragons in the past. They used to fly around free and some even taught humans dragon slayer magic. However, one day all of them vanished out of thin air. It was something he would have to see himself to believe. If he could make a dragon then who knows what else his power could do. Caius wanted in on the action.

The next step in their journey would be to go into Sieghart Mountains to find a black key. There was a dungeon that was located there that had it. This was all too perfect. "Well Lucifer if you need anyone to show you around Seighart I'm your guy. I conquered some areas there for Sentinel Syndicate so I know the place like the back of my hand. I'm sure we can beat the dungeon location out of some villagers." The next part he was curious about was his allies. If they key was as powerful as he said he assumed that it was well guarded. "So how big is job? How many allies are we talking about here> My magic isn't big group friendly and they might get shot. "

Odin had done it, Caius was in. A man of his skill and ability would certainly prove useful in the coming months, as every part of Odin's plan started falling into place. Giving people the promise of power, the promise of Zagan, to help further his own goal for HER arrival into the world. Perhaps it was a dangerous choice to use someone so powerful that they could kill a dragon for his own desires, but Odin didn't care. He would get what he wished, and neither demons nor dragons would stop him.

The information became even better, as Caius revealed that he knew information about their location. He had explored much of the Sieghart Mountain range during his time in Sentinel Syndicate, the guild of mercenaries run by Konstantin. So even if Caius didn't know where the dungeon itself could be found, there was no doubt in Odin's mind that he would at least know how to find it even if that did mean, as he put it, 'beating it out of villagers'. Odin had certainly missed being a bad guy, "I knew you'd be a useful ally in this. And please, you can call me Odin these days."

As for the group, "If all goes to plan there should be around seven of us, with around half of that group participating in Sieghart. Don't worry about them", a slight chuckle escaped Odin's skull as he continued, "If they get scared or die after one attack from an ally then they wouldn't have really fit in with the group anyway. Feel free to let loose my friend. How does that sound?"

Caius smiled and shook his head in agreement with with his new friend. The others going on the mission should be able to tank a few bullets here and there. "You got me there Odin. I guess if they don't make it then it's more power for us huh?" The cold and calculating side of Odin was something that he really respected. It reminded him of himself when he ran his business. If he was going to command a group of people to get this mission done, then that respect would be needed.

With the mission details now in place. It was only a matter of time of when it started. "So it's a date then? Great. I got some things to take care of here and I can head out. I'll be at the Hosenka Garden Suite. Just find me there when the time comes." He thought of this new adventure like a vacation from his business adventures. It would be a nice breath of fresh air to get back in the field again. Hopefully this Zagan lived up to the hype and show them all his abundance of magic power.

Holding the views Odin had, quite frankly, expected given his past, Caius seemed content about the situation. If their newfound allies weren't strong enough to survive, then well they wouldn't get to. The things both Odin and Zagan had planned were not for the faint of heart, and it would take the strongest mages, or the most determined, to help them see it through. Odin knew Caius was one of those mages, he only hoped the others, both the former Fairy Tail mages and whoever they decided to seek out, would be strong enough. After all, Zagan had no need for weakness, and neither did Odin.

With their future planned out, and their meeting coming to an end, Caius bade the Lich farewell. Apparently the man had some things to deal with himself before he could leave Hosenka which, as far as Odin knew, would likely be selling off the rest of his merchandise so as not to travel to Sieghart Mountains with a cart full of children. It seemed unlikely that he got much business up in the North there. Letting the man go, Odin would simply return to his room at the inn, placing his ring back on his finger and becoming a human once more so as not to arouse suspicion.

It was all starting to come together.
