Masami
Farmer Jim wasn't kidding when he told Masami that the vines were breathing. Well, not exactly true, but they were indeed alive and mobile. Because Masami was finally fully exposed to magic, seeing these didn't panic him a slight bit, assuming they were some sort of magical trick wherein everyone's used to seeing. He couldn't avoid stepping on them – some vines felt awfully squishy and and others felt extremely stiff. When he made a few steps towards the town's central, he stripped and slid, and a vine immediately wrapped around his right ankle. "Eek! Get off–!" Masami quietly shrieked and pulled his ankle as harshly as he could; he knew how strong the vine's grip was, seeing how it left a mark around his ankle. "Man, it stings." he rolled away and pulled himself up when his face was facing the ground. There were shrieking sounds from the distance as well, but sooner, it quieted down. "Were they taken away...?" he muttered to himself and kicked the ground when he felt another vine reaching for his other ankle. Let's get going.

Masami didn't listen and wandered around the city before going into the grasslands, checking for everyone's safety. Everything started to get quiet, to the point where Masami could hear his own ears whistling and the wind whispering. Marigold City started to look like in ruins... odd. Then he ventured in the borders of the city and the grasslands, finally watching his steps, but was grabbed by another vine. This time, it swung him high up in the air – he dropped when he struggled. "That was... kinda rough." Masami have not yet even completely stood still when a vine struck his wrist, pulling him. "S-stop!" This time, when he screamed, fire naturally came out of his hands, burning the vines, but the fire easily deteriorated after meeting up with the vines' ashes. Witnessing this, Masami raised a brow, lighting a fire from the tip of his pinky. It was windy and he had to cover the fire, and the vines seemed to stop making attempts unto grabbing him. He continued to venture deeper into the grasslands.

Though Marigold City looked awful, it was worse in the farmlands. From afar, Masami heard and saw a farmer running around with a sickle. Masami found this humorous at first, but he had to help – he blew through his left pinky and burned the vine when the farmer was close enough for Masami's fire to reach. Without even thanking him, the farmer continued running straight for the city, or perhaps even farther. "How mean–" it was his fault, he could've stopped his interval and continued moving, but he had to look at where the farmer would be running. He ended up being grabbed by a vine, stiffer and larger than the others, and Masami was forced to kiss the ground when he was being pulled in a fast rate. It was like a horror movie, except it was mother nature doing the jumpscares. Masami, without screaming, tried grabbing anything that would halt the towing, but he kept failing. When everything seemed to get darker, Masami shrieked fire out of his hands and burned the vines surrounding him. The stiff vine stopped pulling him, and Masami found himself pulling his own body instead. His lower portion felt lighter, but all the pressure was directed at his arms. "A cliff—!"Masami immediately and easily pulled himself up with success when his legs touched the wall of the corner, then took a deep breather afterwards. Light started to envelop around Masami's left pinky due to a fire spell, but that wasn't enough to keep everything visible.

He continued walking despite being unable to see anything else but stumbled upon a large wall of vines. He didn't know that this was a wall of vines at first, but Masami took a good look upon it after his forehead hit the panel, hard, that the impact caused him to fall backwards. Realizing that there was no way getting out of this unless he forcibly broke out, Masami smiled. "Sounds like the fun's about to start!" then he blew upon his fingers, releasing bursts of fire, burning the wall until the sun light finally pierces through it. "Nice!" he exclaimed, jumping out right after the path finally cleared for him. He dropped on two feet, being in a middle of some sort of sphere made by vines. Masami was in the central part, the only part where light shines upon it, and an orb that glows an aqua hue. Was it an orb? Must be an orb, whatever – it glows. Masami used his fingers to dig the soil around the item that was glowing, revealing a rather larger, circular crystal. The aqua glow was real, and wasn't simply a reflection of the sun. "Ah, got'chu." Masami quietly muttered, placing the orb back to its original position, then he walked about five-meters away. When he raised his left pinky to blow unto it, time felt like it stopped, but Masami still took a deep breath and blew through the pink after the magic seal formed around it. Bursts of fire surrounded the whole sphere, and Masami continued to blow his fire, even when the orb continued to glow brighter. The moment when the orb's glow filled the whole space, Masami felt like impact was pushed upon him. The next thing he witnessed was that his eyes met with the sun's light, and it doesn't feel suffocating anymore. All of the vines seemed to disappear, leaving marks. Checking his ankle to make sure everything that happened was real, he was slightly disappointed that the mark was still there, albeit in a lighter tone.

"Goodness, that was tiring." Masami uttered, releasing pressure and took his time to lie on the ground, letting the wind blow through his skin. He felt the ashes in his cheeks, disgusting, but he didn't move an inch to get rid of it. There were muttering sounds surrounding him, "Hng... later." he whispered, falling to sleep. He woke up in an inn afterwards, and the desk beside him had a pouch on top of it, including a sticky note that included Farmer Jim's thanks. Seriously, that old man with his random requests.
