Yami
The wind mage that was known as Yami was making his way through the town of Oak. One might wonder just what the psychotic killer who used the wind to commit his evil nefarious deeds was up to? It was easy, nothing. The psychotic killer of a mage who sought the torture of others, to bath in the screams and blood of those he torments was doing nothing on this dull summer day. The blue sky was blocked out by black clouds as small droplets of rain descended. It was a miserable day and Yami had nothing to do. The mage was bored as he contemplated just what he should do to occupy his time. He needed a source of amusement but he couldn't find an appropriate target to turn his focus too and torment. His grey hues would flicker back and forth from person to person watching as people walked the streets of Oak. The towering mage stood out like a sore thumb, even as he was hunched over showing a lack of posture. Strands of hair framed his handsome features that made the women swoon as they passed. He flashed a soft smile, revealing those pearly white teeth as he continued his walk. He was walking around in circle never sure of what he wanted to do on this rainy day.

Yami didn't know why or what compelled him but he suddenly had the thought of visiting the local quest board. Nothing had come into Phantom Lord the last few days, so he was going stir crazy, but perhaps he could find a quest on the local board. Rubbing his bald chin the wind mage made a right turn followed by a left as he walked towards the quest board in the middle of Oak, placed in the town square hidden behind a large rock wall. Walking behind the wall Yami surveyed the board that was in place for a decent quest to take. A number had already been crossed out showing that they had been completed. There was a couple boring ones like kill some prized cat so it couldn't enter a show. Another was to kidnap a pure breed dog. Yami ignored those, to mundane and he wasn't in the mood for a D rank quest, something C rank was what he preferred. The wind mage scanned the contents before his grey hues locked onto a particular C rank quest.

The quest didn't have any details just that Castle Phantasm was hiring and the client was Sirius. Yami rubbed his hairless chin before rolling his shoulders in a shrug. He might as well see what Sirius Phantasm wanted, hopefully it would be able to relieve his boredom. The wind mage rolled the poster up and walked off in the direction of Phantasm Castle. the good news was being a C rank quest he could at least earn a decent wage. D ranks were just tedious at least with a C rank he could get more of a challenge. Though once he ran out of C rank quests no doubt he would have to return to doing D ranks.

Yami
Yami made his way through the streets of oak, a bored look on his facial features as he walked towards Castle Phantasm. As he walked he mulled around his thoughts plotting on what he would do in the future. "I do need to become stronger. I'm only a C rank mage, I slacked off and got lazy. I'm no at the top of the food chain, if i want to be able to contend with higher ranks I need to get stronger. I will have to grind out quests until my feet are sore. Money and power makes the world go round, I need both. Such a pain, I just want to sleep in the shade and torture by night. But if i stay as I am when I get caught I won't be able to escape. The stronger I become the better chances of not getting caught I have. Even if they did capture me, they can't kill me. I am immortal and the world is mine. Everything is seen through my eyes." thought the deranged wind mage as he walked along with his hands stuffed into the pockets of his black trousers.

Yami was the kind of person who believed the world was his and he was immortal. Everything was see through his eyes so he must be a god. He could do as he pleased with this world as it and everything in it belonged to him. There was nothing he couldn't do. Death didn't exist, after all if it did and he wasn't immortal then the world would end with him. yami couldn't comprehend what would happen if he wasn't immortal, as he saw the world through his eyes, if he did that must meant the world died, the world couldn't die that must mean Yami was immortal and everything was his. With this mentality Yami's moral compass was skewed it flickered back and forth, all over the place and shattered into pieces.

The mage was pulled from his thoughts as he arrived at Phantasm castle. Yami was greeted by an old butler and welcomed in. The butler escorted Yami through the castle and towards the study of one Sirius Phantasm. Walking in Yami was greeted to the sight of Sirius pulling on his hair in frustration. Sirius looked up and breathed a sigh of relief, "Thank you for coming. Things have been stressful, please take a seat." Yami sat down opposite sirius, as he did a glass of scotch was poured in front of him. Yami thanked the butler and took a sip.

"THe reason i need help is, the castle guards are getting slack, cocky if you will and become slack in their training. The guards are rusty and their tactics sloppy, evident by the raid that happened last night. Thanks to their sloppy tactics ten of my staff were killed. THis needs to be rectified. I want to hire you, Yami to take care of this matter. Get them into shape. I don't care if you have to break a few bones. Of course during the exercise I will be watching."

Yami
What Sirius wanted was easy enough, it was doable and Yami wasn't going to object. He got to beat up on some guards for money and he could even break bones what wasn't to like. The wind mage allowed a sadistic smile to form on those lips as a thick killer intent rolled off his body that frightened the Castle butler. Yami downed the last of the scotch and rose to his feet cutting his intent off. He looked to the butler, "Show me to the guards, I will get them back in shape with a little tough love. I hope you don't mind if I use a little magic." Sirius waved Yami off giving his consent. The wind mage released a bark of laughter this would be fun. Sirius got up from his seat and the butler began escorting the two towards the training fields. On arrival Yami found a dozen guards lazing about in chairs, drinking, laughing and gambling. Yami sneered at them and raised his left hand to the sky targeting the table they sat at. Wind crashed down from above slamming into the table as blades of wind cut into the wood shredding it to pieces turning them to splinters surprising the guards. The wind cut apart their deck of cuts, drinks and money making them cry out.

"Alright you sorry lot I've been hired to get you back into shape." Yami extended his right hand and pointed it towards a guard. "You get over here your going to help me with a demonstration." The guard gulped and walked over, Yami was taller than he by a fool foot as the guard was only six foot two. "Attack me." The guard nodded and gave a battle cry as he stepped forward and threw a sloppy left hook. Yami's left hand rose up the back of his hand hitting the wrist pushing the fist aside as his right hand with a fast jab struck the elbow joint and bent it. Yami then brought his right hand across and struck the guard with the back of it. As he did his right leg would sweep out to the left kicking the guards feet from beneath him. The blows knocked the guard to the ground with a loud clang. "Now that was just disappointing." Said the wind mage. He then pointed at the other guards and invited them one by one to spar against him.

Each time Yami would diffuse their strike and knock them off their ass sending them to the floor. With some of the guards who appeared especially cocky he was not kind. One particular guard who was eight foot and four hundred pounds, Yami tossed him over his shoulder slamming him into the ground, locked his right arm and broke it before stomping on his left knee breaking the bone. By the end of it out of the twelve guards, eight were left standing and four sent to the infirmary with a number of broken bones. This kept the other guards in line, they didn't care act cocky around Yami.

Yami
As the first half of training came to an end, Sirius called Yami over for a report. Yami began insulting the guards, they were sloppy and lacked technique. They had attempted to take him down with brute force, only to have their own strength used against them. The wind mage shrugged his shoulders calling them a lost cause. If he wanted to, if he stopped holding back he could have ended all their lives even if they had attacked him together they wouldn't stand a chance against him. After his report Yami went back to work, this time asking for the butler to bring him over a training sword. THe mage held the steel weapon and tested its weight. He had asked for a katana and that was what he got. The weapon was two meters long, thin and light in his hands. Yami turned his focus back to the guards and told them to draw their weapons and attack. He didn't use weapons often but he had some skill with them, he could at least use a sword.

The mage sheathed the blade into its scabbard, placing it on his left hip and went into a drawing stance as he placed his right hand on the handle. As the guards attacked together Yami sprung into action. He launched at the first and drew the blade swinging it lightning fast as the guard performed an overhead swing. The blade struck his metal plated chest and launched him back. Yami spun to the left as a blade hit the ground. Yami swung the blade and allowed the edged side to strike a metal helmet. The guard stumbled as his head rung and he collapsed to the ground. As the other six charge Yami bobbed and weaved swinging the blade or lashing out with his foot delivering low blows to their groans kicking them into the dirt with ease. "To survive you must use what ever methods are available to you. Honour who cares about that, take the so called cheap shot if you want to survive. Fight like a hooligan!" barked out Yami as he stomped his left foot down on a downed guards head and mushed him into the ground making him eat dirt.

Yami sheathed the katana and handed it back to the butler as the day came to an end and his quest was over. He was approached by Sirius who began to thank him for a job well done. Yami said it was nothing as he shrugged his shoulders. The Phantasm removed a wad of jewels from his coat and handed it over to the phantom lord wind mage. Yami counted up the jewels making sure fifty thousand jewels as there. After making sure he thanked Sirius and departed leaving the castle behind and began making his way back down towards the streets of Oak. He mulled over his thoughts and decided to go to the Phantom Lord bar for a little rest and relaxation. He wanted a good glass of scotch to pass the time. He wouldn't bother thinking about tomorrow until it arrived.
