Even after Kerii had done all those different requests for large number of different people, she still wasn't done with her work in Magnolia. There were still more quests to be done and Kerii was getting more confident with herself as a mage. She could already tell that she was getting stronger and she had already mastered some spells. Although they were rather basic, they would prove to be helpful if she wanted to support someone else who was battling. Aside from that, Kerii could feel that if she continued to get stronger, she could even battle alongside others as well, not just heal and support, but she wasn't quite there yet. She still had to do some more quests, train, and learn more spells first. Once she did all of that, she would feel a lot more accomplished as a mage. Maybe then she could even prove to her parents that spending more time around humans instead of elves wasn't bad at all. It was actually beneficial.

After getting ready and having a small breakfast, Kerii went over towards the request board in Magnolia. It still had a good number of requests on it. Some she saw were from Khalash again. She didn't see any more from Barras or Bella or Olly, but there were some from new clients. Kerii's eyes landed on one request whose client was named Medias Syrases. The task he wanted done was a simple one, but he was paying handsomely for it. He must have been really rich. Kerii was about to take the request when she spotted a certain blue haired man not too far away from her. "Hey Videns," she said waving to him.

Videns looked up to the calling of his name and found himself smiling as he seen who it was. Kerii was at the request board and it seemed as if she was, well picking a request to do. Videns waved back to her and approached. "I was wondering when we'd bump into each other again." Videns said simply. Videns noticed that Kerii seemed more bulky? No that wasn't the right word, although seemed to have grown quite a lot since their last meeting more than a few days ago. She must not have been lazing about either by the looks of things, which Videns found impressive. Most people who got as much money as they did from the amount of quests they did together would take a break and let themselves loose all the work they had grinded up, But Kerii was different. Weather it was because she was an elf and didn't think like most humans, or she just had good Values Videns was unsure, but admired her anyway.
Videns' eyes wandered to the slip of paper in her hand. "Taking a request I see, Mind if I tag along? Be just like old times." He said encouragingly. Videns remembered when they first met how both would have wanted to do one quest solo, if it wasn't for Kerii speaking up, so instead Videns decided to be the one to offer. He wondered how she would react, seeing as it was him now asking. He had a fairly decent idea but still uncertain wc 254

Videns noticed the slip of paper in her hand and he asked to tag along with her on the request. He said it would just be like "old times" even though "old times" was quite literally not even a week past when they first met. Kerii smiled though and said, "Sure." She showed him the request. "The client must be really rich if he's paying us this much just to set up a party." It was rare that these kinds of quests came about so Kerii really wanted to do it and she wouldn't mind if she did it with Videns either. That just meant that she would be done with the request sooner and maybe since they would likely be done so soon, they could potentially take another request. Maybe they could even do a slightly harder one than they were used to. She didn't know if Videns had done any like that, but she was certain that they would be able to do one no problem. Besides, if Videns happened to get hurt, she would be able to heal him with ease, so she didn't see much risk in a slightly harder quest.

After Videns got the chance to look at the quest, Kerii would go on to say, "I think others have already started setting up some decorations, so if we could find those, I don't think Medias would be that far away." The man didn't put his address on the request, so it would make sense if he was near wherever the party was being set up.

Videns had a look at the request and could of swore he had misread it. Was that really the reward for doing a little decorating? No it coul- But as Viden began thinking this he could hear Kerii say that she too found it bizarre that he was paying this much and that he must be loaded. Videns Nodded still unable to believe his eyes. Although he didn't really care for money, paying some people this amount was far too much. Kerii however did not seem to mind. Was she somewhat selfish? Like a crow that found something shiny? Videns knew very little about Kerii despite their best efforts of not being strangers. Still Videns wouldn't call kerii a stranger, more of an acquaintance if anything. Still her greed caught him by surprise
Kerii then said that she thought that others must have started decorating and that they wouldn't be far away. Videns looked to the request and sure enough it said just that. It did not even give an address, which must of meant the client predicted the mass amount of people coming to help him. Videns would walk with Kerii and try to find any signs of decorations. Videns thought now would be a good idea to start some small talk. He was very interested in the fact that Kerii was an elf and hoped to explore that possibility, but to say it out right now could be rude. "So what do your parents do?" Videns asked casually as the continued to walk looking out for any bright colors. wc 261+254=515

Kerii and Videns began to search for the party decorations together. Along the way, he decided to try to do some small talk. He asked her what her parents did for a living. "My mom doesn't do anything. She's just a stay at home mom, but she was the one that home schooled me for a bit and she was also the one who taught me my healing magic. My dad does diplomatic things between the elves and the humans though, which is why I grew up around humans instead of in an elven town," she explained. "How about yours?" It was kind of an odd subject to talk about. Usually when people did small talk when they first met, it was to know about each other, not their parents, but she supposed that this worked too. Her answer could give Videns a little more information on her race she guessed, although it wasn't much admittedly. If Videns didn't know before, the only piece of information she was able to reveal was that elves had diplomatic relations with humans.

They didn't spend too much time searching before they saw some brightly colored decorations being set up by some of the people living in Magnolia. They all seemed really happy to help out. Each and every one of them had a smile on their faces, even if they were doing the most boring task imaginable. Not too far from them stood a blonde haired man with a circlet overseeing the work that was being done. If it was anyone who was the client, it would be that man.

Videns listened to Kerii's reply and was very interested. Although her mother and his shared the similarity of home schooling their children, that was where the similarities ended. "Ah I see. Well both my mother and father home schooled me, but both worked too. Both of them were kind of hands on historians I guess? They would always try and raid dungeons or ruins or something similar, but I doubt you would of heard of them they hadn't done much in the line of books or that. But I think I heard of your father? I'm not sure but It's widely known that most races communicate with Humans since we are the most populated of any here in Fiore at least." Videns explained. He didn't wish to go into too much detail of his parents in case he fell down that slippery slope and if he did he knew he would be stuck there for a while.
But before Videns could ask any thing more the two caught a glimpse of glorious bright colors draped across walls, fences and even light posts. Videns had only barely noticed the man in front calling instructions to the people in front of him that were laying the decorations. He must of been the client. Videns went up to talk to the man but before he knew it the man in the circlet turned around and was beaming at them. "You came to help didn't you?" The man said with a smile so sweet it would rot your teeth. He seemed like he was going to explain everything they needed to do. 266+515=781

After explaining what her own parents did, Videns began to explain what his did when she asked about them. Apparently they raided dungeons and ruins and such. While Videns said "hands on historians" the term "archaeologist" came to mind for Kerii, although she wasn't sure archaeologists would "raid." She would think that they would inspect and research artifacts, so maybe they were a bit different than archaeologists. If they raided though, then were they mages like Videns too? It would make sense. Often times magic was passed down from parent to child. It was possible for someone to learn magic without being blood related to any natural mage, but if Kerii saw a mage, she would assume that their parents were magical as well.

Much to Kerii's surprise, Videns said that he actually may have heard of her father. "Really?" she asked. "His name is Alta Virrel." Once they were done talking about parents, the duo arrived at the site where the party decorations were currently being set up. When Kerii and Videns approached the blonde haired man who had to be Medias, he gave a toothy grin and assumed that they came to help. Kerii nodded her head and introduced her and Videns to the man who needlessly confirmed that he was Medias Syrases, but also added "Lord" as a prefix. Kerii then knew why he wore the circlet and was willing to pay so much money to set up a party. Medias proceeded to explain to them that he needed the colorful decorations to be hung up, gesturing to a box of assorted ribbons and streamers and the like.

Kerii had taken the liberty of introducing both herself and Videns. "Ah I see, great. My name is Lord Medias Syrases. Pleased to meet you." He said, fixing the circlet on his head. So he was a lord? Fancy, Videns thought. "Okay now I need you two to put up streamers, put up balloons, help set up tables, chairs, place the cutlery out, place mugs out, place glasses out, place small plates out, pass big plates out and anything else you can think of." He said smiling all they while. Videns looked around and noticed everyone else was smiling too. Was it really that much fun working as tirelessly as they were? Lord Medias then pointed to a box of ribbons and streamers. "That with them if you'd please." He said as he turned back around and went to give more orders. "Well off we go." Videns said as he went over to the box and began to take some decorations out. Videns got out some yellow streamers and began to drape them over anything he could really find. Once he thought he had enough of that done he moved back to the box to get some red ribbons, and proceeded to stick them to almost anything he could and make them seem at least look decent. As he continued he noticed how everyone else was smiling, and without realizing it, Videns was smiling too. He did not know why, but he continued to do so. Was it the atmosphere or perhaps the idea of everyone here knowing his name? Unsure Videns began to keep working, and even quickening his pace. 270+781=1051

Not only did Medias tell Videns and Kerii to do the streamers and balloons, but he also instructed them to do plenty of other tasks such as setting up tables and chairs, setting out the party food, putting plates, glasses, and plastic utensils out, etc. Basically, they just had to set up for a party like any other, except they were supposed to do it on a much larger scale. Medias set no boundaries and spared no expense when it came to parties. Kerii couldn't help but wonder how often he did this. If he threw parties like this all the time for events other than birthdays, there was no wonder everyone in Magnolia was so happy and eager to help. It was a bit unnatural though. Even though Magnolia was generally a lively town, it was new to Kerii. Nothing like this ever happened in her home town, nor in Orchidia.

After Medias gestured towards the box of multicolored decorations, she and Videns began to set them up. Videns grabbed some yellow streamers and began to drape those over different parts of town. Kerii took some blue ones and did the same. Once she was done with the blue, she'd move onto other colors and do the same. She would also blow up some balloons and tie them to the ends of streamers wherever it seemed fit. She would also tie balloons in other locations that seemed appropriate too. Overall, Magnolia was looking really festive. Kerii looked over to Videns who, like the other people, already seemed to have a smile on his face.

Videns went over to the box once more, this time getting silver and glittery tassel and began to stream it around the area too. Before he knew it he was beside Kerii again, his cheekbones hurting from smiling so much. "Is it me or is it really weird that everyone, including me is smiling so much?" He asked. Provided Kerii would answer Videns would listen intensely. Kerii always seemed to have an insightful opinion on things. Videns himself knew that there was no foul play on board or he would have felt it. But as he smiled he began to wonder if he had ever felt like this. Working with so many people for one common goal, it definitely strengthened the feeling Videns already had deep within him, but was that really it? Ever since his parents were not around anymore, Videns always had his own goals in mind, never any collective one. He even thought of doing some dark or illegal quests just to get some recognition. Once Kerii had spoken, Videns would have replied and then go and copy Kerii and get some balloons to tie to trees, and posts and various other objects. After a while Videns' legs were beginning to get tired, but he powered through. He could definitely feel like he was getting faster on his feet as he kept running from box to area that needed to be decorated. Although it was taking a lot out of Him Videns found himself surprisingly cool. His endurance had gone up significantly. 255+1051=1306

Videns seemed to be thinking the same thing she was and she nodded her head when Videns asked if it was weird that everyone was smiling, including him. "Yeah, I've never seen anyone this eager to help out. Maybe it's just the nature of the town?" Kerii had always heard that this town was very lively and energetic. She always heard that the people of Magnolia threw grand parties as well, but she still never expected everyone to be so joyful while they were doing it, especially every single person, and she definitely didn't expect the joy to spread to Videns and she would be even more shocked if the joy spread to her as well. Despite her generally being a happy person, she didn't like doing tasks that took a long time like setting up this party, even if it was for a good reason. She would be much happier doing another job such as the first one she did.

After Videns and Kerii were done talking about the strange amount of happiness within the town, Kerii would notice that Videns was hustling more than her and was thus getting some more work done. Kerii didn't even notice it until now. Feeling like she was dragging behind, she decided to pick up the pace and started working faster. Despite the speed she was going at now compared to the one she used to be going at, she still hung up the decorations and made them look pretty and not sloppy.

Videns nodded at Kerii's insight. This was the home of the fairies and god knew they were the most family orientated guild ever. Videns thought of all the stories he had heard. In fact as Videns looked around he noticed many of the Fairy Tail guild symbols on people. Wow they were everywhere. As Videns moved away from Kerii he began to think if there was any guild he would think of joining. Guilds never appealed to Videns though, he hated the thought of being a faceless person behind the guild logo, another meaningless cog in the machine. He always wanted to stand out but the idea of joining a guild was never out of the question. Videns thought of each guild. There would be no way he would join the Rune Knight's unless he got strong enough to be of the higher ranked members of the guild. Although the blue scheme would flatter his already handsome features immensely. Videns then thought of Fairy Tail. Also unlikely. They were more about comradely that strength and the feeling of family, although a nice change would cause Videns to have more bad memories in store. Grimwore heart, that would be the bane of his existence. Since it was so hard to join, no one would know his name, only an alias and it did not appeal what so ever. The bad quests they were associated with did not bother him however. Videns continued to do the job as he kept thinking of the many guilds to join. 253+1306=1559

After a significant number of streamers and balloons had been hung out all over Magnolia, Kerii thought that it was best to start with the other tasks to set up the rest of the party. "Hey Videns, want to start with the tables and chairs now?" she asked, gesturing to a bunch of ones that were folded up leaning against the brick walls of a few buildings that were next to each other. Regardless if he came or not, she would start by unfolding one of the tables and setting it up in a reasonable area. She certainly wasn't smiling yet, but she did feel like she was slowly becoming more immersed in Magnolia's culture and nature. It still sort of made her uneasy that this many people could unanimously be so happy. It was almost as if they were put under some sort of spell to act this way, but they were home to Fairy Tail, one of the most family oriented guilds out there. Not to mention rambunctious though. Lamia Scale came to a close second in the later though. Both Fairy Tail and Lamia Scale were known to go more than a bit overboard on jobs. Kerii was sure that she wouldn't end up doing so. After all, what was the worst a healer could do? Heal everyone too much? She hardly thought that would be going overboard. Elves in general didn't even go overboard due to their careful nature. They were skilled fighters, but they weren't messy ones.

As Videns worked he still began to think of other guilds. Phantom Lord could be an option. They are known to be feared and they were not a secretive. Blue Pegasus was also an option. Videns was handsome and they seemed to value each individual a lot more, mainly for their own vain reasons however Videns could understand why. Lastly was the guild Kerii was in, Lamia Scale. They sought power over anything, Viden thought of it for a moment, it would be a decent fit. Videns almost did not hear Kerii when she asked if they should get the tables and chairs. "Oh sure." Videns although tried to avoid it, was looking as if he was immersed in thought, which kind of looked odd considering he was still smiling widely due to what ever was causing him to smile so much. Videns and kerii would head back to the house where there was a huge garage of fold up tables. Videns grabbed a load under each arm and half carried and half dragged everything. He was surprised how far he could carry them, he knew his strength had grew but this was surprising even to him. Videns eventually got enough tables to set down the street, he would have thought Kerii would bring some chairs down. Videns still had one or two more trips to get every single table from the garage but once he wary single table from the garage but once he was done he would help kerii bring the many chairs that were still remaining there. 250+1559=1809

Kerii rolled her eyes as Videns sort of shrugged off what Kerii had just asked him to do. It was like he wad preoccupied with something. She didn't think that hanging up ribbons, balloons, and streamers took that much concentration, so there must have been something else on Videns' mind. She wondered what it could be. She didn't know nearly enough about him though to even begin to have a good guess as to what he was thinking about. For all she knew, it could be about some pet he once had that he was missing all of a sudden. It was highly unlikely, but still a possibility. Anyone could be thinking of literally anything. Even at the moment Kerii was thinking about what someone else was thinking. She didn't think that anyone would think of that if they were trying to guess what she was thinking.

Videns did end up helping Kerii out with the tables and chairs. After they were all set up, Kerii began to set the tables, putting the plates down first followed by the napkins which were followed by the the plastic utensils and cups and glasses. Now, all they needed to do was set out the food. She moved the food from the shops to the tables and once that was done, Medias asked her and Videns to greet the guests, which she did. She greeted everyone kindly and once everyone was at the party, Medias paid the two mages. He asked if they would like to stay or not. Kerii turned to Videns. "Well?" she asked. Even though parties were not Kerii's thing, she would go if Videns would go. Otherwise, she would be more than happy to go back to her room at the inn. If they did end up going to the party though, Kerii would stand as far away from the crowd as possible.

Videns after finishing setting the tables helped Kerii with the mountain of chairs. Since there was more chairs than tables it took them a lot longer, but it did not take them nearly as long as setting the plates and cutlery. Although there was enough plastic utensil, Videns got some of the better looking plates, classes and silver ware and put them near the top, or the bottom of the table, he was unsure which was which. Those jobs took the longest out of everything, even with everyone and their smiling faces helping so much. There were so many people there you would think there was enough to be done within an hour but it somehow took so much longer.
Lord Medias then came up to the two the instant they were finished setting the table, "I would like you two to greet the guests." He said and as he turned Videns could of sworn he saw the Lord wink at him. Completely confused Videns and Kerii greeted the guests, all of whom had large smiles on their faces much like everyone else there. Eventually Lord Medias came up to the two and payed them promptly. It seemed that lord Medias had wanted both to stay as he asked them to enjoy the work they had done. Kerii had seemed to ask Videns what he had thought. "Sure why not." He said to Kerii still with that smile on his face. Videns would Pull a chair out for her and then sit in the seat next to her. 258+1809=2067
