Personality:
Cornelius is a person who prefers to rely on his won strength than that of those around him; he see's no reason in putting faith in others when they, more than likely, will fail him. It is with this ideology that he has gone through life. He usually has a rather cold aura around him, however, if someone was able to get over this cold aura of his he is actually a pleasant person.

Likes:

Power: Power is something that allows for an unlimited amount of possibilities.
Whiskey: A good drink to take the edge off never hurt anyone.

Dislikes:

Idiots: They have the ability to make an easy job difficult.
Arrogance: Arrogance is something he has, but despises in others.

Motivations:

Power: Well, it's the same reason he likes it! Having power means he can do anything he pleases.

The Sea:He has no qualms with being in water, or even the sea! It is simply when he gets aboard a boat and is in the middle of the sea. This is when he begins to feel trapped.
Trust: He simply has a hard time being able to fully trust people. He believes that this trust will come back to bite him in the ass and prefers to not risk this.

Magic Name: The Origins

Magic Element: None

Magic Description: This is a magic that focuses on using the raw power of ethernano to create and cast powerful spells. By shaping, and harnessing, Ethernano the mage is able to fire bolts of ethernano, and affect the environment . Ethernano is, by definition, the core of what every mage uses. In the case of Cornelius it takes on the appearance of a gas, though it is not flammable. It's movement is as fluid as the caster can allow and holds a red hue. This hue is a reflection of the person soul, as magic is meant to be a representation of their very core; their soul. As a battlemage he can use Offensive, Self-Buff and Supplementary spells.

History

History: Cornelius is unable to remember most of his history. He simply awoke one day in an inn, having no knowledge of who he was or where he came from he began life anew. Being able to live freely, not being forced to obey the council, this was the life he wished for. Being able to live as he pleased, do as he pleased, without having to think about what the law had to say. Without worrying about the council. This is the life he had so wished for. It was the life he would die to protect. This is what he found when joining Grimoire Heart. It has not been very long since this day, so there is not much to say.

First- Go ahead and replace that gif of Laxus with one of your FC.

Magic- Explain what Ethernano is, or at least explain what it's like (Solid? Liquid? Gas? Plasma?) Also, you're a battle mage. Go ahead and put the spells your class is capable of in the description. In this case, it's Offensive, Self-Buff and Supplementary.

Finally- Your history is fine, fluff it out a little more. There's no word count, but shoot for at least 100 words please (this is just nitpicking on my part, but you're almost there).
