Pink frills on a white dress were only decoration upon the prized possession of the Freljord family. It was morning, the day having just started. As soon as the child got dressed, she headed downstairs and into the dining room. The table, already set, had two adults having a civilized conversation. As she approached the table, she did a little plié towards them before she seated herself and addressed them. "Good morning, father. Good morning, mother." Looking at their wonderful child with warm eyes, both parents nodded at her.

To others, it would've seemed like a wondrous picture that many could only dream about. But little do they know that this happy-go-lucky moment wasn't so happy. Yoshino was a genius among genius, but it doesn't a genius to figure out the real reason behind those false smiles and feelings. Being born to the prestigious Freljord bloodline, Yoshino harbored an inconsiderable amount of talent for magic, even more so than anyone else in her family. And her parents, the stingiest of the bunch, knew of her potential and the fame she could bring in. That was her only role in the Freljord family. She was a tool. Nothing else.

The poor look up at the rich in disgust, thinking they have no problems whatsoever. But the rich have problems of their own, problems that those in the less fortunate wealth groups could never think of.

After breakfast had elapsed, Yoshino took her pleasure at venturing to the outside world. She enjoyed the sensation of feeling the wind brush past her face, throwing strands of hair into the air. That was a ritual of sorts for Yoshino, a ritual announcing her freedom, even if it was only short-lasting.

The prominent gardens of Crocus, one of the most visited sites among tourists. The ice mage enjoyed seeing the numerous flowers here. Despite coming here often, the sight never ceased to amaze her; her reaction's always the same here. How beautiful. Staring like a child seeing a magic trick for their first time, Yoshino's eyes didn't hold back. Her eyes lit up, a bright smile upon her face. "Si beau!"

''What to do now?...'' she questioned herself softly and quietly. Her eyes looked at the sky as she woke up before dawn, saw the sun come up with its full beauty. Her white snow hair was drooped over the bench bar made of metal, feeling rather cold. Her red-black eyes would light up with the suns as they blazed with simple innocence. Slowly her lips frowned, her left arm covering her eyes to hide them so. ''I feel so lost...alone.'' she spoke quietly to herself once more in a rather womanly way.

Kuriana felt clueless, unknown on what to do and where to go. She bit her lower lip and sucked up all of her sorrows. ''I'll be fine, yea?'' she questioned herself out loud in a quiet voice. Her left arm slipped away as it dangled in the creak of the metal bench letting her eyes look at the sky once more. Softly she would take a soft breather and sat up, seconds later stood up. Her head tilted down as she dusted off her red dress, red bow with a gold jewel in the middle and black fake-furred tips of the edges.

People were yet to crowd the area as stores were most likely about to open. She felt like it would be a good idea to leave and go somewhere else before it happened. Kuriana would face towards where she heard some flowers/the garden was located, thinking it was a good idea to visit. Somewhat speed walking, she would go towards the doors in which were made of glass. Smiling she would open them and walk in. Her red-black eyes would open as her black plump dress shoes would made small sounds that simple heels usually do. She would then look around to then see if anyone was here...at all.

Dashing through the snow. If only it was Christmastime, the song would be describing the situation. As Yoshino finished her rounds of staring at the flowers, a cute girl of black and red popped up out of no where. And as a child, the only thought that came to mind seeing someone her size was friendship. Like an animal hunting its prey, she pounced upon the other female like they were old friends. Within a second, the mood had taken a 180 degree in turn and Yoshino exclaimed in a friendly, though scary manner. "Hiiiiiiiiiiiii~"

After the awkward greeting of sorts, Yoshino introduced herself. "Yoshino Freljord. 11 years of age. 144 centimeters. 81 pounds, but I'm NOT overweight! My hair's blue. My eyes' are blue. My shoes are blue. And my dress is white with little pink frills on top!" What an introduction. All of that was said in a quick and steady voice, as if she had had years upon years of experience rapping on and on. By the end of it, she was gasping for breath; who wouldn't be after that insanity coming from her lips? She smiled a smile that was genuine and true, ironically spreading warmth despite her personal elemental values being aligned to the cold.

Oh, a friend. A friend! How grand of a moment this was for Yoshino. After being stuck inside, being separated from other children because of her prestige, her ranking, her title. Mr. Maarshalk Raion was one thing; he was a friend, but he was also an adult. Unbeknownst to Yoshino, this fellow lolita here wasn't a child at all. In the blue-haired bimbo's eyes, she only saw another kid who wanted to visit the gardens of Crocus. "What's your name?"

Her eyes looked, wandered and brightened as she saw all the pretty flowers. They were indeed very nice and pretty, but yet has she been able to find the flowers she likes. Her eyes wandered and her child-like legs walked upon the stone walk, patterned evenly with zig-zagged lines. Her white snow hair would bounce left and right as she walked with her black plump dress shoes. As she continued on this walk she would then feel a whack, bump and her butt fell on the ground.

Her eyes closed as she fell back on her butt, rubbed the right side of her head. ''Nnn what in...'' she was about to continue in her childish soft voice and opened her bright red-black eyes. She saw a child or perhaps another her. No, can't be as she never knew one with the gift of her father the scientist. She listened to the blue hair child speak of her own name, introducing herself. 'Yoshino, pretty name.' she thought as her eyes looked into the blue girl's eyes. She was yet to speak as she didn't want to interrupt. Yoshino started to say how much she weighed, age and even the color of her outfit. What was this kid on? Overdosing on sugar? It wasn't annoying or anything...it was actually quite adorable. Reminded her of her past children.

She slide slowly up as she would then look at her, curiously. ''My name is Kuriana.~ It's lovely to meet you Yoshino!'' she spoke in her child-like voice with a smile and a giggle. How long will she be able to hold this act? An act of a child, someone who was older than most people spiritually, yet she didn't mind hiding her womanly side...for now.

Her eyes cornered left and right and saw no one. 'Where's her parents? Is she alone?' she wondered and then looked back at the girl with the whole innocent pure outlook. ''Haha, do you mind getting off?~ I feel like I'm being crushed.~'' she would joke and make pouting-like lips, blushing. Her facial expression would then turn back to her normal happy self and looked at Yoshino.

Oh, how mother was going to scold her as soon as she stepped through the door! Yoshino was an interesting gal. Within her household, she would be the most conservative and sincere child ever known to existence. However for those who met her outside personality, Yoshino was the best at anything socialite.

Yoshino was on top of this mystery friend, having exclaimed all of her secrets whilst on top of her. It was an introduction to remember, after all. But alas, not just anybody could handle the childish demeanor and this friend asked Yoshino to get off due to being squished by her weight. "I only weigh 88 pounds!" she would say again before hopping off of this red-eyed lolita. She did a twist and a twirl, running around the garden for another ten seconds before beginning the start of every beautiful friendship, the questioning phase. "What flower do you like most?" Yoshino asked as she stared at the beautiful plumerias that decorated the gardens.

It was definitely a peculiar question, but it was Yoshino's own weird way of getting to know others. She was a peculiar girl in that sense.

She continued to look at this girl till she got off. As Kuriana saw how she reacted to her asking her to get off cause of being crushed, Yoshino seemed to react funnily to it. Kuriana would curl up, wrapped her arms around her self and laugh in a rather bubbly way. After a few seconds she would stop, lay straight on the ground even after she got off of her and looked at Yoshino. ''I'm kidding!~'' she spoke childishly happy with a cheesy smile. Right after she spoke she would get up and dusted off her lolita red dress and look at the girl.

Simply she would tilt her head with a sweet smile and then looked around. She listened to yoshino ask what her favorite flower was. ''My..favorite flower? I love white roses, yet jade vines are beautiful and my favorite.'' she'd speak softly and soothingly. Kuriana would twirl around and giggled twirling once. ''What about yours?!~'' she'd ask cheerfully.

Yoshino was definitely a child, all right. "Hi Kidding!" she began, assuming it was her name. While a smile posed upon her face, a question took place in her heart. What kind of name was Kidding? She proceeded the conversation by naming her favorite flower, a respectable choice at that. "White roses are pretty..."

During all of this, many may have thought that Yoshino only cared for what happened as of the moment and not the future. Many would say her personality was carefree; if anything, much too carefree for the situation. It was a child who didn't doubt another child all alone in the dark, without parents or guardians of any sort on both sides.

But Yoshino could easily prove all those assumptions false. While conversing with this Kidding, she had analyzed the situation perfectly. Given it was a threat, if Yoshino was to act out of character, she would be destroyed immediately. In the end, it was her own wants and needs that controlled her actions.

Back to reality, it seemed that Kidding had inquired Yoshino on her preferred choice of flowers. With her mind wandering aimlessly, she settled on the answer of pie and responded to the white-haired lolita. "I like pie." A drool would form down the side of her mouth, eventually providing the H20 that the flowers needed.

Kuriana looked at the girl, waiting for her answer in which she would later say that she liked pie. Sure that wasn't really a name of a flower, but pie was rather good. It came to question then; what kind of pie? Her red-black eyes looked at Yoshinos with a sweet smile. ''Would you like to go find a shop and get some pie?!~ Pie is delicious!'' she spoke happily and excitedly. Before all this she did hear her say hello, kidding.

Her mind went somewhat blank and giggled. ''No no, my name is Kuriana.~'' she spoke happily, spreading her arms out as if she's going to give a hug, but closed up her arms to let them dangle against her side. She waited for her answer on the pie question as she wouldn't mind buying Yoshino some pie and other treats. This girl seemed entertaining.

Kuriana. Kidding. Kidding. Kuriana. This was the first time Yoshino had come across someone who used multiple names. Was Kidding her surname? Many preferred being addressed by their last name; perhaps Kuriana was one of those people. It all made little sense to the child who only saw the surface of everything.

And so when Kuriana asked whether or not Yoshino wanted to go and grab some pie, she agreed without a second to waste. "PIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!" she screamed aloud, almost in a maniacal tone. Like the road runner, Yoshino's legs span in circles and jetted down the trail, causing dust to form in her path.

How would Kuriana respond to this? It was a lunatic child who, hardly ever outside her own home, acted like a crazed ninja when she did step outside. It was an interesting fold of events, indeed.

Her eyes looked at the flowers that were all around her, wondering on if she would ever see her flower again. The jade vine brought back so many memories although still they were blur. Before her first death she saw a vase of jade vines beside her first body. Was Kuriana ever going to be satisfied with any life of hers? Her last life had a child yet...without telling her child she replaced her soul to this body. Would her father be proud or would he be disappointed in her?

'People exist to be experimented on for other people's use.'

It would repeat in her head over and over again, daily. Kuriana saw the child's reaction to the pie idea and next thing she knew, she was gone. ''She must really like pie.'' she'd say in her childish voice and giggles. After so she would leave the garden to run after Yoshino. ''Yoshino! Wait up!!~'' she yell and wave as she saw her running. Hopefully the girl would at least slow down, even though Kuriana's body is of a child's, she's still old...but no one knew that.

Man, Kuriana Kidding was the slowest kid ever! Yoshino had her fair share of races, but she was the slowest one yet! Then again, Yoshino was wondering where she was going. Having lived here in Crocus for all her life, she was of noble descent. She never went out; everything was served indoors. Where exactly was this pie shop?

Yoshino had to walk back all the way to Kuriana. Once she saw the fellow lolita, she did something daring but inexcusably cute too. Walking right alongside her, she blushed and quickly grabbed Kuriana's hand, looking off to the side and hiding her face. How would Kuriana react to such a bold action?

Afraid that it would get awkwardly quiet, Yoshino decided to start conversation before it even came to that point. "What's your favorite kind of pie, Kuriana Kidding?" Hopefully it wouldn't become silent with this comment.

She watched as the child was running fast. What kind of energy did this kid have? What did she eat?! Was it possibly having to do with some type of magic she had or something else? It made Kuriana curious, but she soon watched yoshino walk back to her. Not only that she then felt her hand touch hers, being held. Her heart skipped in surprise as it was a notion of out no where. Softly she'd smile at her and then looked forward towards where the pie store was supposedly located and started to walk.

Of course soon after her hand was held and they started to walk, Yoshino asked on what her favorite pie was. She did have a few favorites, yet there were tons of different pies she has yet to try. Her red-black eyes looked up and then back at the pie shop. They'd go by the door in which her hand pressed against the glass door. As they entered a man smiled welcoming them. ''My favorite pie? It'd have to be pumpkin with lots of coolwhip.~'' she spoke sweetly and then looked up at the man. ''I'll have some pumpkin with tons of coolwhip and whatever she picks.'' Kuriana spoke with bright sparkling eyes at the man innocently. She would look at yoshino then, waiting to see what she liked.

Yoshino was probably the most vexatious kid ever. Hopefully Kuriana didn't think that way, but with her happy-go-lucky personality, it was hard to see through this female. She was interesting in her own way, a mysterious way. Yoshino just stared at her, her mind going blank with questions that couldn't be asked nor answered. Before she knew it, Kuriana was staring back at her because of her question regarding what pie she enjoyed.

Oh, the choices were too fast. Yoshino had never ate a specific pie. In the mansion, she would just ask for pie and a hot, steamy pastry would be presented in front of her. Other than pie itself, she didn't know of any other flavors, only of the fact that there were more than one. Flustered, she mumbled a word that was inaudible, even to herself. What did she want? Eventually, the princess of ice settled on a disappointing answer. "I don't like pie."

How absurd it was, especially for Yoshino. For the one to be rushing when the word pie was brought up by none other than herself, she knew not of any other distinguishing flavors. "Do you guys happen to have ice cream?" she would hope aloud.

Kuriana looked at her in disbelief when she said that she didn't like any. Her head titled confused as she then heard her ask for ice cream. 'Well...she is a child.' she thought and then smiled with a chuckle. Slowly she turned to the counter guy and then looked up. ''I'll have vanilla ice cream on top of my pie instead of cool whip if you do.'' she spoke softly and sweetly with a smile. ''S-sure! We have ice cream indeed.'' he spoke with a bulky lumberjack laugh and turned away to do the ice cream, cut the pie and then turned again. ''Want that on a cone, waffle bowl or a regular bowl?'' he asked the little missy with blue hair, looking at her. As he handed Kuriana her pie and icecream she would take it and walk towards a table, waiting for Yoshino.

Cones were the traditional way to eat the delicious treats of ice. But waffles had their own positive aspects, for example, a warm cushion at the bottom that situated well with the flavor of the ice cream. However, a regular bowl would be the cleanest option and mother wouldn't accept it if Yoshino came home not only late, but also dirty. Alas, the bimbo took on the middle option. "I'll have a waffle cone!" she exclaimed, her eyes lighting up at the news that they did have ice cream here. What a surprise!

Kuriana walked over to a table, looking back to signal she was waiting for Yoshino. The brat lifted her left hand and smiled at her best friend, Yoshinon. Whispering so that only the puppet could hear her, she told Yoshinon about how she was happy; Kuriana was the first one who was willing to spend time with her after so long and Yoshino wanted Kuriana to meet Yoshinon too. The food came; the man delivered it to Yoshino's right hand. She ventured towards the red-eyed lolita and introduced the puppet on her arm. "This is Yoshinon! She's my best friend!" The puppet didn't say anything, but waved its arm to acknowledge Kuriana.

Would Kuriana question Yoshino's problem? Many did, so it wouldn't be a surprise to Yoshino, but Kuriana felt different. She had a nice aura, something to look forward to seeing. Hopefully a beautiful friendship would sprout here.

Her eyes looked at Yoshino as she waited for her to get her icecream and sit with her. Her elbows rested on the table and her child rested on her palms. Her bright red-black eyes looked over there innocently and purely. Her smile was sweet and genuine. 'This child needs to adventure more. Perhaps its her parents.' she thought and wondered. Do they even spend time with their child much? Or was it the fact of being too much?

She didn't truly know and she felt like it wasn't majorly her issue. After Yoshino got her icecream waffle bowl and walked over to sit. Kuriana smiled and giggled at how it seemed she had a 'friend'. It was a puppet indeed, but it seemed rather harmless. Slowly she would lift her chin off of her palm so her right hand waved simply. ''Well hello Yoshinon. I hope we get along.~ So all of us can be friends!~'' Kuriana spoke in her bubbly girly voice, stretching her arms out all cheerful with a smile for a second. As soon as that second was over, she swooped to grab her fork and took a nomming bite of her pie with icecream. ''Mmmm.~'' she hummed rather nicely as she tasted the delicious treat. Hopefully the icecream was likeable for Yoshino. This day was turning out good.~

As soon as Kuriana responded to the wave presented by the puppet, Yoshinon's ears perked up like it had a mind of its own, despite being controlled entirely by Yoshino herself. The puppet eyed the woman, then burst out laughing with energy, too much energy to fit within Yoshino, much less the puppet. And finally, Yoshinon spoke. "I like ya, Kuriana! Ya a great gal! Take good care of Yoshino for me, would ya? Or else I'm gonna punt ya face in." While it started off to be a rather courteous greeting, it soon turned into a threat of sorts.

Yoshino smiled, at many things. Kuriana for one. Yoshinon being a tad overprotective too. All of these little things added up to something that warmed up her heart. It was something that Yoshino loved. But alas, not all good things stay. A mental clock started ringing in Yoshino's head. She had to go home. Mama would be furious with her. Oh, what to do? What to do!?

Kuriana looked at Yoshino and then at the puppet in which the girl was in control of. Something was somewhat off and what most would feel some offense of, but not her. The puppet would talk and act with some sort of goodness, yet had a threat feel. Her eyes looked at the girl and then the puppet with a sweet smile. 'I wonder who this girl really is...' she would think with curiosity. ''Don't worry.~ I don't know why I'd not be nice.~'' she spoke in her girly and happy voice. Her head turned to look at the clock and somewhat frowned as she knew that the girl had parents. The parents would of course want Yoshino home. Softly Kuriana would take a soft breather and looked at Yoshino. ''I guess it's time to go home for you, huh? How about we go and talk on the way there?'' she questioned and looked at her. She didn't want to let the girl go home, but everything comes to an end someday or time...

"Aye aye!" Yoshino would reply with a frantic look in her eye. Who could judge that? Mothers were one of the most dangerous creatures to ever walk the planet, but Yoshino's mother was on a level of her own. Without a second to waste, Yoshino hugged Kuriana, a move which most consider random. But Yoshino thoroughly enjoyed Kuriana's company. There were hardly any people who gave Yoshino such a fun time. How could she ever repay Kuriana?

It wasn't much but the brat opened her wallet and threw a number of jewels at the table. A few heads turned her way, noticing the amount of jewels coming from the rich kid's wallet. Yoshino only eyed Kuriana, before summing up the day in her mind, hoping that there'd be another chance at such a day. "Thanks Kuriana Kidding~" she would, before leaning back into nothingness like a trust fall, only to crash and hit the floor and turn into a million pieces of ice. She was gone.
