Overall: A slim and tall girl who is as striking in image as she can be in personality, Lola Skylark is a young woman with pink hair, pale eyes and a slender but curvaceous build. A little fair in her complexion thanks to her mixed heritage, the bright features which she possesses are complimented by her porcelain skin, and a build which is svelte and supple in her waist and legs, while carrying a noticeable breadth at her hips and deceptive size to her bust as well.

Rather a fetching lass all told and this evident from her face, Lola has a tapered jawline which ends in a point, and a large and gaze which can at times be icy, but also rich and deep. The irises she carries very dark to the point that they look black or in a state of permanent dilation, they look eternally like the sweet and alluring eyes of a doe, and are framed by long and dark lashes which only adds to her prettiness. Often sporting something of a smirk, she has an impish quality about her which reminds one of a younger girl, as well as a look of innocence which she can exploit more fully through pouting and batting her lashes.

Keeping her bright mane long but often rather tidy with a fringe which is cut straight across in a neat fashion, Lola has mildly wavy pink hair which is often rather expressive visually, and seems to inherently set her apart from the average fiorian girl. Long enough to reach her mid back when left loose, more often than not she tends to bind it into bunches either side of her ears, which can often be found fluttEring in the wind because of this.

Tying it more tidily in certain circumstance however, she isn't averse to sporting a bun or single tail when she works out, and seems to wear it proudly since this is something which she inhErited from her mother. Going to great lengths to maintain her hair in fact for this reason, she often nourishes it with products which is which it seems noticeably voluminous, and considers this and her long legs to be her two greatest points of appeal.

Extra: Those large, dark doe eyes are pretty memorable.

Personality

Personality:

A girl who is impish and haughty at times but also possessing fairer qualities beneath her obnoxious qualities, Lola Skylark is very much a girl who is the product of the circumstances into which she was born, with the influence of both her father and her mother seeming to show up in various ways.

To most seeming to be something of an irrepressible prankster who has inherited a robust sense of humour from her matriarch, she has a fondness for mischief, may it come in the form of tomfoolery or tricks or simple jokes. Often seeming to feel like she is bonding with a party if she has the chance to tease or playfully torment them, perhaps in some ways she uses these acts as a means of testing other people and the assurance she has in the connection, though this does also make her more open minded and cheeky with the people she likes.

Born into the luxury of a wealthy family and supplied with no shortage of guilt gifts throughout her life, this perky pinkette has been spoiled by her patriarch and at times it will show in how demanding and frivolous she can be, and in how skilled she seems in getting her own way as well. The type to bat her lashes and expect people to dote on her, she isn't afraid to get tougher in her behaviour and can be downright bossy with her expectations, and a little thoughtless with them as well.

Perhaps not always considering the needs and feelings of other people and especially so when she is worked up, she can be a little uptight and even defensive, hinting that this aspect of her character is born as much from insecurity as anything. Seeming to not have had all that many friends growing up, she has learned to inflict herself on others in order to garner attention, and sometimes needs patience and even a little provocation to show she is more than just the spoiled little daddy's girl which others see.

Capable of being just and fair when she puts her mind to it, Lola's inspiration is her sadly departed mother who was a decent and beneficent mage, the champion of many and kind enough not to judge others. Aspiring to be like this image, though the lass might seem to naturally revert to her haughty and entitled ways easily she does try to be understanding when given the chance, and generous toward those she thinks are due.

Carrying no shortage of conflict with her either when it comes to her personality, while she can prove feistily independent she also seems to crave not only acceptance, but also the support of others she respects. The closest confidante she has had being her father and the man seeming something of a pushover to her, while she would be embarrassed to admit it, she does long to have people take care of her on a personal level, and longs for intimacy with folk who impress her.

History

History:

Born as Lorella Ariel Catherine Tiana Skylark to the marriage of the heir of the wealthy house of a young baron and a travelling mage from over the seas, their combination was an unusual one which caused something of a stir, and perhaps in some peoples eyes was seen as a taboo due to the stations from which either hailed. Though in spite of this the two loved one another very much, and in time seemed to quell the turmoil they had caused while eloping.

The mother of the girl coming from Caelum and no ordinary woman, she was gifted with the power of the fairies, and had spent a lifetime exploring the world and fighting evil and injustice where she found it. This the circumstance in which she met her husband, the man was desperately trying to escape thugs who wished to rob and perhaps even kill him when he bumped into a woman who felled them with ease and escorted him home to see him safe.

Indebted to her by no small degree in his opinion and offering her his place to stay in while she was in the area, his home had plenty of room for a guest since he had inherited it and no modest some from parents who had died at sea and was glad of the company really. Becoming increasingly fascinated as he was told stories of her adventures, they struck up a friendship which would blossom into romance and partnership, which saw them both sail on further adventures together.

Initially the man seeming to struggle with seasickness and an absence of his creature comforts, he tested himself and his relationship, and through doing so seemed to earn not only a greater sense of confidence but a deep and enduring love from his partner as well. Marrying when they returned and not long afterward being given a little slice of joy called Lola, the girl entered into a household which was both luxurious and loving, and she enjoyed every day.

Relishing story time with mama since she was treated to tales which no other child would here and having father lavish her with the prettiest dresses and finest toys, Lola was precocious and curious, and often seemed to get involved in the business around her home. Poking her head into the kitchen and asking after what the staff were up to, most often her mama would sweep her up and take her outside to stop her bothering those who were busy, and together they embarked upon many adventures together.

Heading into the nearby town often to engage with the hustle and bustle, her mother was a bright and sociable soul who seemed happiest when in the company of crowds, and perhaps a bit stifled by life in a large and somewhat empty mansion. The favourite thing she liked to do to spread smiles and laughter through the use of mischief, she would pull little pranks on those who took themselves too seriously and make jokes of amusing situations, and seemed to pass this inclination on to her daughter.

Inheriting the woman's gift for magic as well, Mama helped her to hone her spellcraft to aid and even protect her, such as giving her the ability to outrun angry shopkeepers, vault to rooftops and trees,  or breathe even if she dipped underwater, with them both being blessed with an inclination toward windy skills. Miss Skylark marvelling as the woman would also scoop her into her arms and carry her into the sky, the little lass never had a fear of heights, and hoped that one day the woman would teach her this magic, and the others which allowed her to fight ferocious enemies as well.

Never getting the opportunity however due to the loss of the woman, one day old acquaintances of her matriarch arrived seeking her help with an enemy which was on the rise, and she could not turn them away. Promising her husband and her daughter to return to them when the villain was dealt with, sadly this was one vow that she was forced to break when the ensuing battle claimed her life, and her guilty partner brought back only her remains.

Little Lola not understanding what was happening even when they arrived at the funeral, she could not comprehend how her bright and brilliant mother could no longer be with them, and when she was told that the woman was to be buried protested against this. Fighting her way to the casket and opening it up to see the pale form of her beloved matriarch lying there peacefully, there was something so serene and yet saddening about her image, and she did not stop sobbing for a week afterward either.

Visiting the grace of the woman every day for some time to come after this and most often sobbing, she waited for as long as she could as if she expected her to spring from the ground and into the air, but she never did. It a hard process really to accept and something which changed both the girl and her father, for a time Lola seemed to withdraw, while her father was so wrought with grief and the possibility of loss that he did everything he could to keep his daughter safe and happy.

Spoiling her more than he ever had before and growing so defensive of her that he almost seemed possessive, he quashed any notion of her going away to schools and instead had her educated by tutors at home, while making sure that the grounds were watched over and guarded by a collection of hired sentries. At first the girl barely even noticing this as she hardly wanted to leave the house, as time went on she found it to be more and more stifling, especially since she missed the venturous ways she enjoyed with her mother.

Not wanting to be cooped up and instead wanting to go outside and enjoy the air, she started by clambering and casting spells to find her way up to the roof, but soon found her interest spreading from walled grounds which felt increasingly too small and stuffy for her liking. Learning to be sneaky therein since the guards tended to send her back to the mansion or at the very least report to her father, efforts of getting caught only led to lectures and a look of lament which broke her heart, so Lola began to get better at her escape attempts.

Certainly feeling no small urge to run as free as the wind that first time that she managed to dodge the watchmen and propel herself over the wall, she sprinted from her home and onward, and though she felt a sense of sadness for doing so without her mama by her side with it was a feeling of connection. Dashing about their old haunts and checking in on the animals which lived around them, the more she ran the more she wanted to run, and before she knew it she had gone so far that she ended up in the town nearby.

Adventuring on her own from that point on, it felt like forever since she had seen a face which wasn't that of her father or one of the servants, and she felt a surge of excitement from that fact. Running around and playing games with the kids she found, ultimately it seemed to all come to an end when someone recognised her, and insisted that she be taken back to her home therein.

Not about to waste her chance however and the girl instead fleeing and hiding from them, she dodged and ducked around winding streets, until she arrived in a place that was dirty and dark. This place like nothing she had known before and intriguing for that fact, Lola began to poke around it until she found something unsavoury in the form of a few big men accosting a scrawny boy, and through some spirit of rebellion and responsibility acted to amend the situation.

Demanding they stop bullying the poor fellow rather insistently, when they laughed and mocked her she decided to teach them a lesson, and summoned a squall which sent them flying backward. Laughing at them in return for this, once more she found herself running when they recovered their footing and gave chase, abandoning their effort in favour of wreaking revenge upon her.

Once again seeming to run for her life or at the very least her safety and security, she ended up using her magic to dupe her pursuers into falling into the river which ran through town, and seemed to merrily gloat as she watched them flailing and flopping about in the water. Unfortunately leaving herself wide open in doing so however, finally did the lawmen seem to catch up with her and collect her, and before long she had been brought home with a lot of explaining to do.

Ultimately seeming to pout and stamp her feet enough that she managed to convince her father to take something of a step back, she managed to get him to agree that she could go out twice a week with an escort, which wasn't ideal but something she could use at the least. Knowing that the guardsmen he hired couldn't keep pace with her and frequently giving them the slip, she took advantage of this not only to ensure her own independence but also their silence, as she made sure they were aware of how her father would fire them if he found out that they had failed to keep her close.

Enjoying herself in the wake of these events and actually making something of a game of escaping and embarrassing her attendants, the lass became something of an impish terror, though not without a few bright spots. Never feeling an exhilarating thrill like she had when she intervened in that one sided fight and subsequently made fools of the thugs involved, while she often liked to dash off and eat sweets and ice creams she also began to look for trouble a bit, and began to become something of a menace to those who bore ill will in town.

Confronting her would be foes both directly and indirectly given the circumstance, she became a force for righting the wrongs she saw around her through mischief and when it came to it confrontation, and enjoyed playing tricks upon those she met who saw fit to make peoples lives more difficult. Giggling away gleefully as she used a spell to even the odds as it were, while the local knights seemed to view her as a nuisance, others seemed to treat her as a cheeky guardian and view her with respect and admiration.

All the while feeling like she was doing her mother proud in some small way, she felt like when she was chuckling on rooftops or snickering around a corner the woman was right there with her, laughing along. It was nice, helped her to feel closer to someone she still missed greatly, and gave her a purpose.

Not that all of her japes turned out to be quite so harmless, as the girl blossomed into a young woman she became a target for reasons beyond how she would embarrass the blustery bullies in town, and especially so given her habits. Some seeming to see a free spirited figure from a wealthy family as an easy target to make their own lives better, while she was good enough to escape the back alley bruisers in town more serious contenders seemed to see a prize in her, and act accordingly.

In some ways softening as she grew older and making something of an arrangement with the chaperones she liked, she would leave them with coin to spend the day in the tavern or wherever they chose, then reunite later to head home with father none the wiser. Unfortunately targeted on the route back by a nasty gang of bandits looking to make what they thought was an easy buck, their carriage was attacked with folk wanting to kidnap and ransom Lola, and forced her to fight them off and flee after they killed her guard.

The girl feeling no small amount of guilt for such a fact and wanting to avenge the loss, her father once again showed how protective he could be by insisting that she once again stay inside, and arranged for the Rune Knights to look into the group while he hired a mage from a guild to act as her bodyguard going forward. Lola hating this, not least because he had the speed and ability to not elude her, she played hell over the fact and ultimately ended up getting rid of him, or so she thought.

Unfortunately ending up in the clutches of the bandits right when she needed some support, to her surprise and astoundment she found her new guard coming to her aid in spite of her obnoxiousness and the termination of the contract, and was left humbled by the experience. Insisting that father pay him triple what the contract was worth out of gratitude, what they had been through seemed to usher in a change in their dynamic, albeit a small one.

Finding her interest piqued by him and his guild and opting to follow after both, she left a note on her pillow saying she was going to see something of the world and find her place in it, then set off after him. Heading to his guild and becoming a member of it too, she now finds herself in a new chapter of her life with the road of possibility stretching out in front of her, and all sorts of colourful characters to meet in her new locale…
