Setesh

This job was something that Setesh was, admittedly, very excited for. Ever since he was a kid, he was a big fan of smithing and all sorts of metalworking, although he's never had the opportunity to make anything like what he's seen in weapon shops. Not that he could, of course. Smithing was an extremely difficult skill and mastering it was a whole art unto itself, much like magic. And if you're gonna be a beginner and suck at something, it's better to at least suck at one thing at a time.
Still, the complexity of the craft made it even more impressive that Barras Berend managed to make such a name for himself. He was, as the stories say, a true genius of the forge, capable of creating nearly anything a prospective client would want. Setesh couldn't afford *that*, naturally, but just being in the presence of a master and being able to learn from his was a great honor.
The shop, the permiters of which also housed the forged, neatly located in something resembling a garden, was busy - as expected. People of all sorts and walks of life were equally enchanted by the prowess of the smithmaster. Setesh met the man himself a few minutes later, having found him hammering away - literally - at a project. Even though his heart was pounding with excitement, Nasser maintained his cool and listened the man's explanation of what his task is going to be.
"This is awesome!"
He thought to himself whilst changing into a more appopriate work outfit. Berrend was pleasantly surprised to learn that Setesh was a fire mage; it seemed like those were the next best thing after actual metal mages, but those were few and far between - especially those with skill and power. Then again, that could be said of all mages. Being a blacksmith's apprentice for a day was a childhood dream come true for Setesh, who did his best swinging the heavy hammer hundreds of times throughout the day. He did take breaks, of course, but the task was still extremely exhausting. Nasser observed amazed how effortlessly the craft came to Barras. It was rare to watch such a master at work and so the fire mage savored the sight. Being even a small cog in the machine of this shop for a day felt pretty damn good.
It was also, to be fair, a great form of training and exercise. It was just one day, but the fire mage was sure he'd come off stronger at the end of it. Berend himself looked like he could punch down a wall if he wanted to, and it's just a side effect of his craft. It made him realize just how far he has to go to be a respectable mage. In the end, all the pieces of metal that needed to be flattened, were, and so the mages' day came to an end, He received some money and heartwarming thanks for a job well done. It was a bit of a shame, he thought, that he didn't get the chance to show off his fire magic. But then again, were his skills really something to be impressed by? He figured he probably couldn't make a flame hotter than those giant forges.
