Kishin, another bored citizen of Magnolia, had heard of Captain Devon, the leader of the city's guards. He had seen him patrol the streets, always accompanied by his men and wearing his helmet, which obscured his face. From the stories he had heard, Kishin knew that Devon had received a scar during a battle to protect the city and that he never took off his helmet since then.

As he observed Devon's stern and focused demeanor, Kishin couldn't help but feel a sense of safety. He knew that Devon takes his job seriously and is dedicated to ensuring the safety of the citizens. He also noticed that Devon doesn't seem to be a mage, as he never uses magic on his patrols, but that didn't seem to impede his effectiveness as a leader.

Despite his impressiveness, Kishin couldn't shake off the feeling of sadness that seemed to radiate from Devon. He knew that Devon must have seen many things in his long years of service, and the weight of those experiences must have taken a toll on him. He also noticed that Devon never seemed to smile or show much emotion, always seeming gloomy and serious.

Kishin knew that Devon is a mature leader, who has seen and experienced many things. He is unmagical, but that doesn't mean he is weak. Kishin realized that Devon's scar, his helmet and his gloomy demeanor are all symbols of his dedication to protecting the city, and the sacrifices he has made to do so. Kishin couldn't help but respect him for his unwavering commitment to the safety and well-being of the citizens of Magnolia.

Kishin is a concerned citizen of Magnolia, and upon hearing Captain Devon's request for him to enlist young men and women for the guards, he is torn. On one hand, he understands the importance of having a strong guard to protect the city from potential threats, especially after the events that occurred in Era. He knows that the presence of a strong and dedicated guard is crucial in keeping the citizens safe and secure.

However, on the other hand, Kishin is hesitant about enlisting individuals who may have a criminal past. He believes that people deserve a chance to change and improve themselves, but he also worries that they may not be the best fit for the guard and that they may not be able to leave their past behind.

Despite his reservations, Kishin decides to help Captain Devon in his mission to strengthen the guard. He believes that Captain Devon's offer of second chances is a noble one, and that it is important to give people the opportunity to change and improve themselves. He also believes that the guard should reflect the diversity of the city and its citizens, and that it should be open to all.

Furthermore, Kishin also believes that the events that occurred in Era should be a reminder for the people of Magnolia to be vigilant and proactive in protecting their city from the dangers of dark mages and guilds. He sees it as his duty to help in any way he can to ensure the safety and security of his fellow citizens.

In the end, Kishin decides to help Captain Devon in his mission to strengthen the guard, believing that it is the right thing to do for the safety and well-being of the citizens of Magnolia. He also believes that the opportunity for second chances and a fresh start can be a powerful motivator for people to change and become better versions of themselves.

As Kishin roamed the streets of Magnolia, he eventually crossed paths with Captain Devon, who was conducting his usual patrols around the city. Kishin received his task for the day, which was to find potential candidates for the guard by staying in the park, and approaching people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. He was reminded that the guard accepts anyone, regardless of their background, as it can make anyone a sharpened soldier.

Kishin made his way to the park and began his search for suitable candidates. He talked to people from various walks of life, asking if they were interested in joining the guard. Some were hesitant, while others were enthusiastic about the opportunity. Kishin diligently recorded the names and addresses of those who expressed interest, with the intent of presenting the information to Captain Devon later.

As the day progressed, Kishin couldn't help but notice that many of the individuals he spoke with seemed to be struggling in life, and they were looking for a chance to better themselves. He knew that Captain Devon's offer of a second chance is a powerful motivator for many of them.

As the sun set, Kishin headed to the gate where he met with Captain Devon, and handed over the list of names and addresses of the potential recruits. He was compensated for his efforts and returned home feeling a sense of satisfaction, knowing that he had contributed to strengthening the guard and thus making the citizens of Magnolia safer.

When Kishin handed over the list of names and addresses of potential recruits to Captain Devon, he couldn't help but think back to the specific individuals he had spoken with throughout the day. He remembered a young man, who had just recently left a gang and was looking for a new direction in life. Kishin had recommended him to Captain Devon as a strong candidate for the guard, highlighting his physical fitness and his determination to turn his life around.

He also recalled a woman, who had lost her job and was struggling to make ends meet. She had expressed interest in joining the guard as a way to provide for her family. Kishin had recommended her to Captain Devon, pointing out her strong work ethic and her willingness to take on new challenges.

Kishin also remembered an older man, who had retired from his previous job and was looking for a new purpose in life. He had a wealth of life experience and Kishin had recommended him to Captain Devon, highlighting his leadership skills and his ability to mentor and guide younger members of the guard.

While handing over the list of names and addresses, Kishin felt proud of the specific recommendations he had made to Captain Devon. He knew that these individuals, with their different backgrounds and experiences, would bring valuable skills and perspectives to the guard. He was confident that they, along with the others on the list, would help to make the guard stronger and more diverse, and thus better equipped to protect the citizens of Magnolia.

Kishin himself is unmagical, but he believes that the guard should be open to all, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds. He recognizes that Captain Devon's mission is not just about making the guard stronger, but also about giving people a chance to improve themselves and their lives.
