Dan yawned into his closed hand as he nears the magnolia cathedral as he was there as a favor for Father Jerad. As Dan neared the door he watched as the Father Jerad walked out followed by a young girl with long white hair. As he got closer he saw the two of them talking quietly about something before Dan met Jerad's eye as he waved Dan over. "Hello Father Jerad it's nice to see you up and moving again." Dan said as he smiled to the priest who waved back jovially to him. "Indeed it's nice to be able to do my job once again." Jerad returned with a smile of his own. Just before Dan could say anything else he watched the young girl pull on Jerad's robe causing the man to look down. "Oh yes my apologies this is Joanne I wanted to ask if you could escort her to crocus."

Dan blinked slowly for a moment before responding "sure I have the time for a quick trip." Dan replied before the girl quickly tried to hide behind Father Jerad. Dan watched as Jerad smiled sadly as he pat the girls head. "You will have to excuse her Joanne here doesn't have the best home life and after seeing her potential with light magic I recommended for her to go to crocus to train her skills the church is expecting her in a few days but she's not old enough to travel alone which is why I asked you." As Joanne peeked around Jerad she slowly stepped forwards and offered her hand to Dan. Dan seeing her nervousness kneeled down to make himself a similar height and took her hand. "Hello Joanne my name is Dan I hope we can become good friends." Dan ended with a soft smile as Joanne returned a smaller but still visible smile.

After a few hours of preparation the duo set off towards crocus together. After a few minutes Dan looked down at his side to see Joanne looking around with wide eyes. "This your first time outside magnolia?" Dan asked her as she jumped a bit almost as if she forgot he was there before quietly returning "Y-Yes my parents never had much money for traveling so we stayed home a lot and when they were home it was a lot of fighting" The girl said sadly as Dan noded while smiling sadly for a moment before trying to change the subject. "So are you excited to see crocus?" The girl slowly nodded her head "Yes I am eager to begin learning to use my magic." Joanne replied while holding out her hands with a look of deep concentration as a small white circle appeared in his hands as a small ball of white light appeared. "That's all I can do for now but I hope to get better so I can help people like Mr. Jerad does." Dan smiled at the smile on her face as she spoke of the priest. "So you like Jerad huh?" The girls face lit up as she nodded [color:44d0= pink]"oh yes he helped me a lot, he even did a fake exorcism on me because my parents thought I was possessed." Dan noded with a chuckle as she continued on with stories about Jerad. After two more days on walking and getting to know each other the pair finally arrived in crocus. As they neared the cathedral Dan saw a priest waiting for them. "Ok looks like we've arrived." Dan said with a large smile that Joanne returned as she began to walk towards the priest she turned back for a moment and gave Dan a small hug which he returned happily before slowly walking over to the priest nervously. Dan spoke to the priest and introducing Joanne to him for Jerad and collected his reward before turning one last time to wave at Joanne and began his walk back.
