Hitomi stood outside of the church with the most annoyed look she could muster. When she said she wanted work this wasn't what she had in mind. How in the world was the church still running with the same problem? Any sane person would think this place was cursed rather than blessed. Hitomi happen to be one of those sane people, even if the church provided services that helped the people of Oak, and a lot of people of Oak needed help. Sighing she felt like walking away and she would have but she really needed this money. Looking around she knew she wasn't welcomed in Oak. Having been here a little while ago she was apart of an attack of Eternal Nightmare. Hitomi someone who use to be a member of the guild was attacking it, and in the same vein backstabbing the guild master she saw as a protector at one time in her life not once but twice.

This was a danger zone for her but money was above all the bullshit that may come her way so for the sake of the power of the shiny dollar she had to do this. Dressed in a black one piece that hugged her thick and muscular figure, something she picked up while being in jail with all that weight lifting and fighting, a pair of black boots and her hair pinned into a bun on her head, Hitomi was ready to take on anything that was down in those catacombs. She already knew what awaited her as she had done this job before when she was of a smaller rank. She had been standing outside of the church now for about five minuets. Leaning against it's gates she was taking a quick smoke break before walking in, the herb that she had rolled up into a dried leaf like paper took the edge off with each inhale. It was like a fog being lifted as with each exhale she became less and less anxiety ridden that she would run into someone from Eternal Nightmare who would notice her and probably attack her for what she had done to them.

Finishing off her little smoke break she put out what was left and couldn't really be smoked and headed into the spacious church building. Despite how depressing and desolate it looked on the outside, the inside was immaculate and well maintained. It was impressive every time she walked in to see such a stark difference in upkeep. Maybe it was like that to keep ruffians away, perhaps making them think there was nothing of value in an old church upon first glance. It would certainly check off why no one was attempted anything against the church, but then again it was in Oak which meant it was under the protection of Eternal Nightmare, and that was enough to make anyone turn tail and rethink attacking any part of Oak. While she was in the church she waited around, looking at the decor and all that before being approached by a small woman with orange hair and blue eyes. She was cute by every means of the word but she believed in a god that turned his religion into a cult in her eyes so she got points knocked off for that. Honestly it was shame to let pretty faces go to waste when they thought what they were doing was for the good of the world.

Hello, you must be Hitomi. I'm sure I don't have to go over the issues we have here at the church so we thank you for all your work. Though if it's not too much trouble, please treat the spirits below with some kindness. It'll make your work easier I'm sure and it'll lessen the amount of disturbed spirits in the future. Thank you for your help again and if you need anything I'm here. The orange haired girl's voice was like a bell, clear and pure. Hitomi nodded and though she hardly listened to what was being told in the way of doing her job she took into account what was being said now. Heading over to the spiral staircase that descended into the catacombs she could feel the obvious disturbance in the air. It was like moving from fresh air to stifled air, a very sharp change in atmosphere indeed. This would have probably bothered lesser beings but Hitomi had enough run-ins with the likes of ghost, spirits, and demons that this was nothing to her, merely child's play. It didn't take long before had spotted a ghost wandering about crying and soon she was off to see if she could fix that.

The ghost in question looked like two little children instead of the one she thought she saw as she followed it. One of the spirits looked like a little girl while the other was a little boy. They seemed lost which wasn't uncommon for some of the wandering spirits down here. Children got lost all the time and when going too far out to be found they are usually found dead if they are ever found at all. Walking up to the spirits she could hear them crying out for their mother and father. Hitomi sighed to herself and called out to the spirits who then ran to her. At the very least they were friendly. The two spirits spoke as one when they approached Hitomi telling her how they were being chased by a man with an axe. The story itself was not a fun one and it sounded as if they thought they got away.

It was clear as day to Hitomi that these two did in fact not get away as the scars they died with showed clearly on their bodies. One child was missing and arm, the other his legs, but the children didn't seem to notice so Hitomi wouldn't bring it up. Once the children had told their stories Hitomi understood that they just wanted to be reunited with their mother and father. The request itself would be easy but Hitomi didn't know where she would find them or if they were even alive themselves. According to the children their parents lived in Oak and they told them that if they were ever lost to look for a patch of blue flowers with a red center and a purple stem. The flower itself sounded very unique so there were probably not many patches around if there were any at all, but Hitomi wouldn't give up and decided a little research needed to be done.

With the information given to her she told the little spirits to stay put and that she would be right back to help them with their wishes. Leaving the catacombs and walking back up to the church she was greeted by the same girl who greeted her when she walked into take on the task. You are done? Hitomi shook her head no and proceeded to ask about the flowers the children had talked about. The girl seemed surprised that Hitomi knew of the flowers and proceeded to explain how those flowers were grown special by one couple who lived on the outskirts of Oak. The mother was a baker who sold bread and would add those flowers as a sort of calling card to her baked works of art. Hitomi found that interesting and asked for directions to the location before going back down into the catacombs to inform the children.

Walking into the catacombs she could once again hear the ghostly wails of the children, amongst many others but for now her only priority were those kids. Once she got to them she let them know that she knew where their parents were and that she could take them to go see them. The children stopped their crying and were overjoyed which pulled on Hitomi's dying heartstrings just a little bit. Calming the overly excited children down she told them to follow her which they did. The trio walked past the nun who tried to stop them but they were already outside and passing the gate, except Hitomi was the only one to make it out. Turning around to the sound of the nun calling out to her she realized the children were gone. This is hallowed ground, the children cannot leave the space, when they try they just return to the catacombs.

The woman was right because moments after they vanished they reappeared next to her on the other side of the gate. If Hitomi couldn't bring the children to them she'd bring the parents to the children. Hitomi asked the woman for the directions to the house where the flowers were. The woman happily drew up a map and Hitomi was on her way. It took no more than a few hours before she was smelling fresh breads and baked goods. Hitomi remembered that the possible mother of the children was a baker so she went up to the house and knocked. It was silent for a moment but eventually a woman with short brown hair and green eyes answered the door. Hitomi explained the situation about the children and the face of the woman nearly broke. With tears streaming down her face she got who Hitomi could only assume to be her husband.

The two individuals followed Hitomi to the church. The trio greeted the nun and made small talk before walking downstairs into the catacombs. Hitomi warned the two parents to stick close to her as she guided them to the spot where the children last were. She could hear the sounds of crying once more and it came from the children. Hitomi could only guess it was because the thought they'd never see their family. Once the three rounded the corner the parents rushed forward before stopping, tears in their eyes. The two children stopped crying and ran to who Hitomi now knew to be the parents. There were lots of tears, lots of talking, and lots of smiles but soon the spirits of the children began to vanish now that their final wishes had come true. The parents didn't want to let go but they were happy their children were at least at peace. With her job done Hitomi left the catacombs got paid and got out.
