It was a mundane, if not even stupid request, that left Vyra wondering why she had even bothered picking it up honestly. Her situation did not lend for many opportunities for her to be able to take jobs, what with her not formally being a part of Blue Pegasus. Some jobs were left open, albeit very few, and amongst them, typically they generally fell within the category of things being so bothersome or irrelevant that they did not seem worth it for any genuine mage. Vyra though, hardly was one to be able to turn down work, despite how much she may have regarded it as beneath her. Hardly a response that she was in any position to make, given that right now her situation in Hargeon was based entirely around the fact that she had been fortunate enough to find temporary housing and residence courtesy of Alisa Vollan. Without her, she would be just another person on the street, desperately looking for an opportunity like this.

Thus, the idea of being picky was hardly something that she could respond towards. There was no certainty that her situation, as comfortable as it was, could have ended, and if that were to happen, though she hoped it would not, had to be addressed and prepared for. Or at the least, she had to figure some manner in which to contribute, and far as she could tell, doing jobs such as this would be exactly the way to do it. If even she were not in Blue Pegasus, at the minimum it would be something that she could say that she contributed towards, or at least tried to emulate. Though, the means of doing that were few, and of the jobs that she had taken in the past, most of them were inherently risky, to the point that she doubted if she reasonably could pull them off outside of a one-time thing. So, in hopes of avoiding putting herself in serious danger, she decided to see what safer jobs she could have done.

Among the few available jobs that she saw, there was one that at very least seemed to have been up her alley in terms of what she was capable of doing. When she actually went and arrived at the job site, she realized that in fact it was actually just having to help some small kid with doing some sort of fishing tournament, a thing that she wondered why it was that this was a sort of job that would be advertised. Sadly, it made complete sense as far as the idea that this was going to be the job, given how little it paid, how little interest there seemed to have been across the people who could have taken it. It was dumb, and while she stood there, watching as the little kid tried to fish against the others, she found herself unable to do much other than pushing kids into the water, messing up their attempts at fishing themselves. It wasn’t particularly friendly, not exactly fair either, but if it meant that the kid would win his dumb contest, she was going to do exactly that.
