Khalfani could see nothing. Even with his vampiric vision, the bag over his head was enough to snuff out his magical abilities. With a growl he was tossed and turned until finally the assassins carrying him came to a halt. Before taking the bag off of his head they kicked the back of his knees, forcing him to the ground. The soil was cold and wet as he gripped it. It was completely silent except for the crickets that he could hear. If they were still in one of the Minstreli cities then he would be able to hear the people moving out and about, but there was nothing. Quickly a million thoughts flashed in his mind. Was he going to die? Or would he make it out of this alive? There was still so much that he needed to do, there was still much more that he hadn't finished.

Even with these thoughts flashing through his brain, he was not afraid. The Black Panther was ready to face anyone and anything. Should he actually be on death row, then he would face it proudly. He had done more than the average eighteen year old in his lifetime. He had destroyed a slave chain, he had defended the borders of Desierto countless times and he had proven himself worthy to only his peers but to himself. If he was to die right now, then he would be content. Not happy...but at the very least he would be content. Then suddenly, the bag was taken off of his head. Lady Soren had played him well leading him to a house full of cannibalistic humans. If he was a much weaker person then he probably would have died right there on the spot. Whatever had happened to those people made them monstrously strong.

Lady Soren attempted to have him killed as her dying wish, but even after life she was not enough to take out the Eternal Nightmare mage. So what now? Perhaps this was her trap all along. As the bag was snatched off of his head, the rogue Prince looked up, gazing upon a castle that looked too dark to belong to any of the Minstreli lords. It had an ominous feel. Quickly, his eyes bounced around the area. His eyes adjusted and he realized that he was surrounded by vampires and elves in the middle of the forest. Where was he? And what did they want with him? "Where am I-?" He began. The vampire couldn't even finish speaking before his beautiful melanated face was met by a foot of one of his capturers. Khal turned his head and spit the blood out of his mouth, grunting before a laugh erupted.

If this was their idea of inflicting pain then they had much work to do. Khalfani knew pain and this was not it. This was nothing compared to what he had gone through in his life. With a smirk the panther lifted his head again and just when he was about to speak the door of the castle swung open. "Enough." The voice said. Old and raspy, strong and stern. Like someones grandfather the voice disrupted whatever would have continued if he hadn't arrived. With no idea who this man was, the sorcerer kept quiet. The guards, the capturers they all followed suit, even fixing their posture to show this man respect. He could have been the lord of this house, perhaps. The man had white hair, a face almost ready to fall off but a physique that revealed that he had gone through years of combat. Khalfani knew a veteran of war when he saw one and this man fit the criteria.

"Stand him up." Was the only command he gave the capturers before the panther had been lifted. The old man shuffled towards him with his hands behind his back, grunting as he approached the dark skinned vampire. For a moment there was silence. The man simply looked him up and down before gesturing for the lackeys to bring him inside the castle. With no other option but to obey, they did just that. Whoever this old man was, he was high up on the chain of command in this house but he was not the lord. For some reason, Khalfani could feel it. Khalfani had entered the large black estate and immediately knew that the house belonged to a vampire. The aesthetic was too similar to every other basic vampire he had met, but what really gave it away was the trail of bodies scattered around the blue velvet carpet.

At the top of the stairs stood a short-haired man in armor. Now he didn't look anything like a vampire. With a devilish smile he began to walk down the steps. "There you are, the one who murdered Lady Soren." He said boldly. Khalfani still hadn't said a word. By the time the man reached the bottom of the steps he ordered the guards away leaving himself, Khalfani and the old man. "I am Ozo, lord of this house and this is my second, Jasper. Pleasure to meet you." Khalfani didn't respond for a moment. After checking Ozo out he could see how charming the man was, prompting a response.  "Mhm."Was all he said. "Well, let's get into it shall we?" He asked with a head nod. "You know there are eyes everywhere in this country, so I'm curious as to what was going on in that mind of yours when you killed Lady Soren." He said as he turned his back to the rogue prince to walk towards wherever the fuck.

Jasper nodded for Khalfani to follow before he did, so the vampire complied. "If I left her alive, she would have hunted me down and her allies would have hunted me down and then her allies allies would have hunted me down." He said coldly. "I see..but you do realize that everyone works for someone in Minstreli. You kill a lady, that effects the chain that keeps this country running." He said as they ended up in a huge dining hall. Meals stretched from the start of the table all the way to the end. Khalfani simply glanced over, but his eyes reverted back to Ozo's. "Please, sit." He said as he took a seat on one end of the table. Khalfani took the seat in the middle and Jasper took the seat at the other end. "You don't have to eat it, as a vampire I understand how annoying it must be to forcibly release your bowels after every meal."

Not a word was said from the vampire prince. The two then began to get deeper into conversation, talking about a plethora of things. The Black Panther admitted that he murdered Lady Soren because he was attempting to stop a slave trade and Ozo listened politely. Too politely. His eyes said that he was trying to be genuine but it was clear that he was playing along for some reason. Then, an offer came along. Lord Ozo cleared his threat before leaning forward as the words slipped past his lips. He was crazy for sure, because he was entirely too excited. The Vampire Lord asked that Khalfani do him a favor and in exchange he would give him the information he wanted. There was no catch. However, the Eternal nightmare sorcerer knew that there was always a catch. Ozo would probably want him to do this mission now and then later down the line he would want him to do something.

The favors would ultimately never end and Khalfani would have committed himself to a man who really had nothing to offer in the grand scheme of things. He was tired of doing things for Lords and Ladies. However, there was a slim chance that Ozo had a lead. Itt took a few moments, but Khalfani agreed. The deal was simple. Ozo was a trader in illegal goods and he wanted Khalfani to do a shipment trade for him tomorrow morning. Easy enough, it sounded. In the meantime he wanted to get to know the Desiertan more. He could obviously tell that he wasn't from Minstrel, but he didn't assume that he was from Desierto or Savannah, not even Fiore. Ozo just knew Khal was a stranger to these lands. The young vampire was no fool. He knew that when someone wanted to get to know him that meant they wanted to get to know his body. It didn't matter though, Khalfani had already accepted the deal. He would take the time to freshen up, change his clothes after they left the dinner table and join Lord Ozo in his room. The two would talk, getting to know a bit more about each other despite the fact that the two of them were obviously leaving things behind. All in all though, Khalfani was actually interested in Ozo. The conversation went on for hours but the two of them couldn't resist the temptation and the night ended with them on top of each other.
