PouchKaz awoke in the wilderness. A shiver of cold ran through his bones. He bundled the cloth fragments of his robe around his neck and A plume of white breath sifted through his lips. The sun had already gone down. The large white orb of the moon loomed high in the sky. Its reflected light was all that illuminated the woods.
"Guess I fell...Agh." He groaned and staggered forward. His hand pressed against the throbbing pain in his head. He shook it off but the thumping still beat softly in his skull. In the distance, he heard a howling. His head snapped up and scanned the expanse of the forest. His nose picked up all the minute smells around him. His head sang as he still got used to the enhanced senses.
"That's the same as..." he said as the scent of wolves filled his nostrils, but there was something different about them. he looked up at the Moon and knew exactly what was happening.
