The sickness seemed to have spread like wildfire and no one had been spared, it reminded Alfyn of the magical plague that fell upon his city in Seven but at least with much less severity and victims. Thankfully, the citizens looked like they had taken it seriously and they were taking all necessary precautions to protect themselves, unfortunately for those with not enough money in their pockets buying the medicine and staying safe and isolated was not an option. This reason was why Alfyn was now heading towards the Kardia Cathedral, he had taken a request from the priest there to assist him with treating those who were less fortunate. As he entered the church he immediately noticed what appeared to be the priest being surrounded by a number of sick people, he adjusted the mask he was wearing to protect himself from the disease and approached him. After introducing himself the priest seemed delighted that someone had finally taken his request and gave Alfyn a tray with the medicine in a jug and some cups to distribute it to the sick people inside the Cathedral. The young man nodded, took the tray and immediately started handing out the cups with the medicine inside. As he was distributing the medicine to a small group he noticed a lot more were laying down and seemed somewhat unconscious, after refilling the jug with the medicine he approached that group with a warning from the priest that he would probably have to force the medicine down their throats, at least for some of them, as the high fever had made them fall asleep. Alfyn went close to them, opened each one's mouth and poured the medicine down their throat holding their nose to make sure they would swallow the restorative.

He had been doing this for an hour or two now and more people seemed to arrive at the building asking the priest to aid them, as he turned to Alfyn and signaled him to go to him. Following his gesture the mage approached him and started treating the sick, and in the meantime started having some small talk with them to make things more bearable. He took special care of the children as they seemed to be in more pain than the grown ups and had to take his mask off so he wouldn't scare them as he started reading them stories to distract them and possibly have them sleep for a while and rest. That seemed to work with quite a number of them and their parents thanked him for his service, the priest that had been observing the situation all this time had a smile on his face as he continued treating the others. The whole thing took a good amount of time till everyone had been taken care of and comforted, the priest approached Alfyn and thanked him for the help he offered to everyone and a job very well done at that. He pointed out that after all this he too would probably become a victim of the sickness soon and sent him home with his reward and some of the medicine, Alfyn thanked him in return and left the Cathedral in a rather fast pace as he started feeling unwell himself.
