Finishing up the loose ends of the last request, Shichiro had made sure that everybody was alright from that siren's attack. He had already called for a representative of the guild he was currently in, to come and take the siren body as proof of the job being completed. Unfortunately for him, that wasn't his only request he had to fulfill while being in Port Astera. The next one he had to complete was dealing with a horrible fiend, known as a 'Barrang.' He had no idea what that could be as he's never heard of it before and mostly has never seen one either. Knowing this was going to be a pain, he sighed on his way to the next client's location. As he said he would, he decided to stop by his previous client's home to see if everything went well. It was on his way and it wouldn't hurt to take a look. Instead of knocking on the door and asking, Shichiro decided to just stalk around the perimeter until he found a window he could look through. There were no signs of them in any window he looked through until he found one with a man laying in a couch awake.

Rhea had been hugging him, crying tears of joy that her beloved husband was finally awake and safe. Since he was awake, suffering slight atrophy, maybe the other males of the town were also waking up with similar effects. Now that he's confirmed that it was indeed the siren he killed, he left as quickly as he came in order to head towards his next destination. Walking back on his original path, he was quite pleased with himself and the results of his labor. With that, Shichiro went out to start on the request of the next client.

Making his way to the next job's client, Shichiro pulled the second missive out of his pocket in order to go over the details of the next request he was suppose to undertake aand who to meet up. According to the missive, he was to meet a client known as Gallard who was a fairly average height male with an eccentric, purple hair cut. Although the client was merchant, it seems he had more of a fascination in collecting beasts, or at least a trophy reminding him of the beast. He doesn't battle these beasts himself but instead sends out mercenaries to complete the task for him for a generous sum of money as long as they bring a trophy for him. Shichiro already thought this job was going to be a pain in the ass as he continued to travel towards where the client resides. A loud gurgling came from his stomach as he made his way towards his destination. He had forgotten about being able to have a meal after he completed his last job and figured taking a little detour wouldn't hurt. Since he was new to Port Astera he wondered where he should grab a bite to eat and decided to search around the area for a little while. Eventually, he came across a little seafood bar and grill and decided he would go there for something to eat. Entering the facility, Shichiro could immediately smell a rather delectable aroma fill the room. He never really cared much for seafood until now and he wanted to make absolutely sure he'd choose something that would taste as delicious as it currently smelled. Looking around the establishment, he figured he was trying to find someplace comfortable to sit, it wasn't like there were many people inside to begin with.

Sitting down, Shichiro had picked up a menu nearby, opening it and deciding what he should order from this small establishment. But he decided to ponder on his reasoning for what kind of food later, for now deciding to order two seafood kebabs and some plain water. He sat there for a bit, waiting for his order to be done as he tapped on the wooden table. Eventually, his food had been presented to him, quickly began to pick up his Kebob, preparing to take a few bites. After a few moments, he had finished his first kebab and began to work on his second one, also finishing it in a few bites. When he was done, he took his drink, chugging it down and leaving the empty glass on the counter along with some money to pay for his food. He figured he wasted enough time here and it was time from him to go and meet up with his client in order to learn about the creature he was hired to take down. He wasn't very full but he was pretty satisfied with how it smelled and tasted, even managing to slightly fill him up somewhat anyway to the point he wouldn't be thinking about food for a little while, at least until after the job was done. Thinking back on it, it was kind of expensive for something so small but that didn't matter, he was still pretty satisfied. Exiting the restaurant, he placed his hands into his pockets and continued on his path towards the client's location in order to discuss the more in-depth details of the request other than his sadistic interests in magical beasts and what not. Giving a small sigh, he walked until he came across a little area that was considered to be the town square.

Arriving at where the client claimed they'd be located. Shichiro began to look around for them as he turned his head from left to right. Although the square was small, it was still fairly crowded for what he was looking for. There seems to be a lot of traders and merchants in the area by default and spotting hsi client might have become a lot more difficult. Walking around the perimeter, Shichiro kept his eyes peeled in order to find the purple hair merchant that he was looking for. After a little bit of searching, Shichiro found him, behind a stall sitting on a stool playing with what seemed like some sort of insect beast's mandible. This made a shiver run down his spine as he watched the merchant's weird fascination kick in for this kind of thing. He now wanted to turn back and cancel taking the request, not because he feared what creature he was about to send him to hunt but because of what kind of characteristics and personality he might have to deal with if he walked over to speak with that man. Unfortunately for Shichiro, he had already gone out of his way to come here and there was good money right in front of him that he couldn't really afford to turn away. Giving a loud aggravated sigh, he walked over to the stall of the weirdo that seemed to be playing with the mandible as if it were some sort of child's plaything. It was larger than a normal insect's which made it all the more creepier, he had hoped this man didn't base his business around selling these things or Shichiro would wonder how he ever managed to stay in business. Feeling that concern of his was above his pay grade, Shichiro approached the man, informing him he was the mage sent to deal with his little problem.

Greeting the client, he didn't immediately look up from his little 'recreation' as he was vastly focused on it. This annoyed Shichiro a bit as he pulled his left hand from his pocket before slamming his palm on the table. This startled the client, causing him to apologize quickly before speaking to him. "Oh, terribly sorry. Would you care to buy something," the man had said to Shichiro. Once again, Shichiro had to repeat himself to the client, "I'm not a customer, I'm the mage they sent to help you with your problem. Now then, what's the problem? You said something about a creature named a Barrang. Can you explain to me what the hell that is before I go running head first into it." He said it with a bit of an impatient tone in his voice but he had to make sure his message got across this time. The client began to respond, "Oh, terribly sorry. You're the mage they sent to aid me in my request. Sorry, I have a little bit of a passion for exotic and magical creatures and the like. I sometimes collect them as part of my hobby if they aren't too dangerous. Heh. Heh. But yes, I made the request for you to defeat a troublesome foe called a Barrang. The name is Gallard and I sent out the request to defeat this creature. Unfortunately, there isn't much I can tell you about this creature since I've never seen it myself. Everybody I've sent before you for a close encounter has never returned alive. As much as I want to see what it looks like, I can't afford to send anymore of my contacts to figure out what it looks like. All I can tell you is where its located and some speculations and rumors of what it may look like."

The man had continued with his explanation even though Shichiro was already quite sick of it. But it was best to hear what he had to say before he went out and tried to deal with it completely blind. "Anyway, from what my sources could make out, the creature is at least a five meter tall creature that burrows itself into the ground and eats humans. No one knows actually what Barrang looks like because no one has survived to tell the tale up close. Rumors say it bears claws, teeth, a darker purple coloration, solid luminescent red eyes, and visible scales and spikes. It is said to be spotted near the outskirts of Astera, on the cliffside. Where my people have been disappearing to anyway. That is all the information I have for you at the moment. good luck and try to return alive," the client had said, wishing the best for him. Shichiro had scoffed a bit before turning to take his leave, not saying a word to the man. Now that he had the location of his target. It was only natural for him to set off immediately in order to quell the beast as that's what he was being paid for. Leaving the area, Shichiro pondered on how he'd take down such a foe as he wasn't in the best shape for dealing with creatures from afar at the moment. He assumed he'd have to rely on his werewolf transformation and hope for the best. It didn't take long for him to make it to the Astera cliff sides as it was just a little walk away from the town he was in. To the north of the cliff, he'd find the lands the client had been talking about. Only then could his search for the creature truly begin.

As he made it to the wastelands, he immediately began his search for the creature. Since nobody was around, he figured it would be best to transform immediately as he didn't want the creature in question to get the drop on him. Taking the transform, Shichiro began to shift into his werewolf visage as he grew a foot taller and became hairier. Now that he was up to par, he'd begun to sprint on all fours until he could hear the rumbling of the earth. Instinctively, Shichiro managed to jump up five meters as a purple creature's mouth began to protrude from the ground. And like the rumors said, a purple creature that eats humans although, he didn't exactly meet the criteria at the moment. As the creature attempted to get out of the ground, Shichiro dove feet first into the head of the creature, avoiding its teeth smashing its face in with his foot. Unfortunately. The beast was quite strong and managed to recover from such a devastating blow. Luckily for him however, it seems to already be on its last legs seeing as it wasn't expecting its dinner to fight back. Jumping off of the creature, Shichiro saw it completely come up from the ground in order to lunge at him. From the first blow, he already knew he was the superior one when it came to raw physical prowess. He decided to charge at the beast head on as well in order to end this quickly. The creature tried to go for another bite attempt but Shichiro just extended his fist into the creature's head once more, dispatching it. After it was dead, Shichiro reverted to his form and just picked up what pieces of the head he could find to bring back to the client, thus completing his objective.
