Making people satisfied isn't easy. Walking up to a park, Vice is looking to quickly get some quests done. Taking the easy path to just make a quest become completed is the best one for Vice. Making his clients happy and compelled to find his service again can only serve as an annoyance. For the ongoing quest here, Vice needs to make sure a guardian of justice is happy. Having little in common with guardians can make Vice feel less anxious. Anyone who's looking to guard things in Magnolia isn't really Vice's ally, since Fairy Tail is the resident guild. Traveling a long way here, Vice isn't looking to take residence, or have a vacation. From the moment Vice arrived, he's been making sure the work gets done that'll help him out elsewhere. The park that Vice stares into on this beautiful day, well, it just looks like a graveyard. Guild wars are illegal and can accrue a bounty, but if they weren't, would people so cheerfully travel to other towns?

Picnics in a graveyard with all the gobbled up trade deals already taken by guilds. Ah, Vice is starting to get nauseous and hungry. Does he really have to skip around this playground, and watch people enjoy their food? Packing a lunch could have been a good idea, if Vice wasn't so focused on magical research. Tired, and tired of waiting, Vice happens to look around the park's entrance. Approaching with haste is the guard Devon, who has other stuff to do too. A so-called captain, it just seems like no one else is able to take any responsibility in the town. Trapped here with his family and future responsibilities, Devon isn't someone Vice could look up to. The guard comes to a stop before Vice, and his helmet rumbles in sync. Helmets are nice, why hasn't Vice gotten one yet?

Protection and a hardy image are suitable things for Vice to build up. Devon might just be wearing a helmet because he's ugly. It makes Vice uncomfortable to be working with someone who can't maintain their own personal health. Blue Pegasus is all about that prettiness, so Vice could be compelled to drive off this guard if he took his helmet off. Being concerned about this guard's ugliness, Vice eventually gets the quest details, without any added drama. Devon is concerned too, about more important things, but Vice is sure that Devon will be distracted by Vice doing non-solutions. The quest meets the flavor of Vice in some ways. Advertising and soliciting random people has been done by Vice before. When he was in Hargeon, Vice didn't get much opportunity to, but he regrets that Ricardo couldn't be brought into Blue Pegasus. Even child soldiers are great candidates to join Vice's guild! Instead of having people join his guild, Devon is persuading Vice to have to throw away his values for this quest. Perfectly valueless without jewels, Vice is almost mentally ready to find as many suckers as possible.

The immediacy to recruit new guards is lost on Vice, but he's just got to scam some people, who'll then be bound legally to continue their service. Once the party and their friends are enlisted, Devon can have his ways to pressure people to never leave. What if their poor families and hometown got destroyed? The captain isn't as good as Vice thinks, but it'd be funny if his efforts fail for Fairy Tail's safety. Isn't this whole process somewhat irresponsible? The captain had to give Vice the quest, and his prior recruits haven't worked out? If Vice is allowed to recruit anyone, can he recruit himself, and be a spy? Magnolia, Vice pities you.

Time to look for young people, thinks Vice the 20 year old. Only a single day to recruit an army, can Vice do it? Nothing is stopping Vice but logic, and logic doesn't exist for Vice. The main character can gather as many supporters as needed! Heading into the park, Vice has a face full of resolve, and Devon walks away with a father's blush. The dawn has descended, and so has Vice's spirit ascended. As a mage, Vice will threaten these people to temporarily join the guard, or be blown to smithereens. There are other ways too! Vice scours the park like a dog, and approaches the people with dogs too. Every corner of the park will be explored today! Even such a happy place has dark corners, and Vice finds some local delinquent gangs. Dark mages will live in fear of these delinquents, like how Vice is scared how to recruit all these people. Life finds a way, and Vice threatens with mageness!

Would these people like to make a difference? The superb salesman called Vice continues to ask away without any rejection in his mind. Devon thinks everyone wants to do some good, and Vice also thinks everyone deserves to follow orders! Some people become angered by the pushing of Vice, so he pushes back and they get a taste of mage-enchanted strength! Self-defense is part of the lessons in being inducted into the military. Waiting around until nightfall, and stalking some people's direction home, Vice finds many people who say yes to joining Devon's guard. Anyone can be taken as long as they're young enough! There might be problems with some of them, but Vice trusts Devon to sort out the jewels Vice will get. Ready to sleep somewhere comfortable, Vice gets what he deserves by returning to the gate at night. All the stalked addresses that are happily shared to Vice, are now also shared to Devon, while Vice walks away.

Along the way, Vice kept up his energy, by remembering to be positive! Positively filling his energy was also done by stealing food from picnics. Stealing can also be confused with offerings, which some people gave so Vice could stop harassing them. Everything worked out in the end! Devon even found that some people came to ask him for all sorts of help in the future. Feeling they're at a dead-end, they needed to pick up arms! Dark mages lurk everywhere, and what better way to push some people, then having Vice pretend to be one?
