Szeth Son-Neturo

Ethnicity, Mother: Joyan

Class: Spellsword

PHYSIQUE

Height: 5 ft 7 inches

Weight: 160lbs

Overall: Szeth is much shorter than the average human. He stands at a rather measly five feet and seven inches. His hair would be black, if he ever allowed it to grow out. However, due to poor genetics, he elects to shave his head and keep it completely bald. His skin is extremely pale, almost paper white. In great contrast to this are his rather large, and dark green eyes, that are a little larger and rounder than usual. Despite his short stature, Szeth keeps an extremely demanding and rigorous workout regimen which he sticks to day in and day out. Because of this, his physique is quite a marvel. He is jacked in almost every area, not just the glamour muscles. His day to day clothing consists of a fully white hooded robe.

Extra: Deep scar across his left pectoral.

PERSONALITY

Personality: Simply put, Szeth's personality can be summarized as Lawful Neutral. He believes wholeheartedly in the age old concept of honor and justice. Certain problems may come about due to the fact that the honor and justice that Szeth adheres to are his own, slightly twisted interpretations on this. He believes in the maximum punishment for all violations of his code of honor, and has absolutely no problem with taking it upon himself to be Judge, Jury and Executioner. He does not believe in killing unnecessarily, but has absolutely no qualms with ending a life should the victim deserve it. Aside from his strict adherence to his code of honor, Szeth is not exactly the most well adjusted individual there is. Many years of wandering and social isolation have left him in a state where he is often times lost on how he should behave or react in certain situations. He has a good heart, and seeks to form strong bonds with those he meets and gets along with, but tends to struggle with doing this, either by not being able to find the right words, or act in the correct way accordingly with social norms. Because of this, he sees himself as somewhat of a hopeless loner, but is constantly seeking to change this.

Likes:

  • Justice: To Szeth, Justice, and the upholding of it, is the most paramount concept that exists. The world and order are nothing without justice. Rewards for the good, and grave punishments for the bad. There is no in between for Szeth. There is only good and bad, those who must be protected, and those who must be vanquished.
  • Honor: Second on Szeth's list of important qualities is Honor. One must always live by a code, even if it is one that Szeth does not necessarily agree with, he can respect it as long as the person following it sticks to this code wholeheartedly. Anyone who has the strength and willpower to adhere to their code no matter what, is someone worth respecting in Szeth's eyes.

Dislikes:

  • Disloyalty: We are nothing without our friends, and those that we love and hold dear. The one thing that Szeth can not stand is someone that would betray those who put their faith, trust, and love into.
  • Cowardice: Not everyone is born equal, not everyone is born strong. Anyone can choose to be brave. Szeth does not expect everyone to be superheroes, however those who choose to run in the face of adversity are not worthy of even the smallest shred of respect in Szeth's eyes.

Motivations:

  • Order: Everything in the world has an equilibrium, a balance. Szeth feels that the world is in need of someone to keep this balance and to prevent things from getting out of control. He sees himself as this man and spends every waking day doing his best to uphold order in the world.

Fears:

  • Chaos: On the opposite end of the spectrum, there is chaos. Nothing terrifies Szeth more than the world descending into a chaos from which there is no coming back.
  • Lonliness: Szeth has been a loner for most of his adult life. While he is used to this lifestyle, he resents it. He craves the bonds of friendship that everyone else seems to have no trouble forming.

MAGIC

Magic Name: Windrunner Magic

Magic Element: Arcane

Magic Description: This magic very simply put allows the user access to telekinetic abilities. They are able to push and pull objects using their magic, or apply kinetic force. The name Windrunner comes from the usage of the magic on one's self in order to achieve feats such as walking on walls etc.

HISTORY

History: Szeth was born and raised in a suburb, close to Crocus. His father, a religious acolyte, as well as a blade for hire, usually at quite a steep price. Szeth was indoctrinated into his father's religion from the time where he was old enough to speak. His people worshiped the spirits that they believed to inhabit stone. They find stone to be the most sacred thing on the planet, and believe that upon death, their spirits are returned to the stone. Because of this, walking on stone is believed to be the most severe form of heresy, and those that do so are shunned by the religion and referred to as Stonewalkers. Because of this, Szeth's father had no moral qualms with taking on contract killing, believing himself to be enacting religious justice by ending the lives of such Stonewalkers. His father trained him in the magic that his family held for as far back as they can be traced: Windrunning. Szeth found himself to be a natural and improved at a rate that he surpassed his father by the time that he was only fifteen.

Despite his natural talent at magic, Szeth found himself disillusioned with the religion of his father, and his ancestors. He believed in the spirits of the stones, and believed that one day his spirit too would return to them. However, he found the concept of walking on stone being heresy foolish and outdated. In Szeth's mind, as long as one treats the stone with respect, walking upon them should not be shunned, but celebrated. Stone is holy ground and it should be ones greatest honor to walk on them. He also found himself greatly disagreeing with his father holding other's to his own religious standards. What is right and wrong is defined by ones sense of honor and morality, not by the gods that they worship.

In defiance of his father, he made a display of walking a long path made of stone, with all of the religious acolytes as witnesses. He sought to prove to his father that his way of thinking was archaic, but he only achieved the opposite. Upon hearing of his heresy, Szeth's father could not bring himself to kill his only son, despite the orders of his religious leader. Instead, he cast him out from both his religion, and his family. Szeth was exiled by his father and all those he had ever known or loved, forced to wander the land alone and figure out his own path in life. His time spent wandering lead him to his own, probably also outdated, beliefs. He decided to dedicate his life to upholding his own code that he spent the years creating. He has sworn his own ideals, and will follow these until the day his spirit is returned to the stone.

"Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination.”

"I swear to seek justice, to let it guide me, until I find a more perfect Ideal."

"I swear to uphold order in the world, and to cleanse it of chaos. This is my oath"
