The cold breeze of the night gently kissed the face of the white magus. It dragged his cloak, blowing it in the air along with his white hair that matches the color of his clothes. That night Sage had taken on a request by one of the lieutenants of the rune knights. There were rumors that zombies were spotted in the woods near Era by rune knight scouts. So, with the moonlight being his only source of light Sage ventured into the woods to find evidence of these reports, needing to prove if it was true or false. His footsteps were silent, he took his steps slowly and gently. He was not afraid of the zombies as he could easily escape from the place using his new found magic. After a few hours searching, trying to find any evidence just a tiny bit of hint, it seemed like he was at a dead end. He decided to head back and turn in his report. On his way back though, he stumbled across something very peculiar. At first, he saw some light that were coming off of torches. He wondered who would lit up that many torches. He then quietly sneak closer and moved silently. He hid behind a large bush and peeked his eyes out, trying to see what was there, it could be the zombies or maybe something far worse.

Sage peeked his violet eyes out and he saw a large statue of a pagan god that had horns and devilish eyes. Simply looking at the statue gave him the chills. Then he noticed the amount of people surrounding the pagan statue, Sage wondered what they were doing. He then realized that they were cultists, they were all wearing the same black robe and they were all closing their face with different animal masks. He then peeked at what they were. From the looks of it, he immediately knew that they were practicing black magic. Resurrection is one of the darkest form of black magic and Sage couldn't despise them more. He clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, he was angry as they were corrupting the world with their trails of black magic and going against the rule of nature. He could see corpses being given back life, but they weren't fully alive, they are constantly on the verge of life and death, which shouldn't be happening. Sage held himself back, he knew he couldn't fight all of them off and it would also ruin the rune knight's plan. So he decided to head back to the gates, where he would find Liutenant Marin, the one who requested him to do the job. While on his way back, he was moving quickly but silently and gently at the same time, making very little sound throughout his journey, he didn't want to be spotted by anyone or anything, the woods was a dangerous place at night. When he arrived at the gates he could see the Liutenant patiently waiting, he walked closer to the Liutenant and told him everything he saw.
