Noyiah Dashi
Shortly after dinner, Noyiah found her way back to the offices of the rune knights, as she tried her usual office space, she found that someone had locked her out of it, with an arm load of paperwork and deteriorating patience.  Knocking loudly on the door, she paused to listen for any sound, it didn’t make much sense that the office space no one ever seemed to be in was suddenly locked, after all they were communal.  With no response she tried each other one, but similarly they too were locked and without a soul in sight, Noyiah sighed and thought about a good spot to set up a temporary office.

The training grounds weren’t too far off from the main building, and though Noyiah didn’t particularly like the idea of doing paperwork where other people sweat and bled. But with her lack of options she found her way there. Pushing open the heavy door with her shoulder she looked about the room, it seemed like there was no one there at this moment.  Nodding in approval of sanctuary she had found she sat down on a nearby bench and started to unpack the files she had been working on.

Noyiah wore her usual rune knight cloths, a uniform of a grey dress buttoned up to the top,  a large black trench coat that seemed a little too big for her, and a pair of grey leggings that she wore under her dress, this paired up with the black combat boots she wore, a small sheath on the inner side of the right boot that held a single knife.

Noyiah started to process the pile of papers, most of which she fixed for small corrections to misfiled information. But it was enough to keep her focus until she heard the noise of someone else. Looking up she glanced at the main doors she had come in from in anticipation of someone entering.   Already slightly irritated, she wore an expression of aggravation.  Blowing her bangs out of her face she combed them with her fingers sweeping her bangs behind her left ear and waited in anticipation.

The lingering silence in the empty corridors created an eerie atmosphere as the boisterous headquarters, usually bustling with knights, was now seemingly abandoned. She knew that they were obviously a few individuals, present in some corner of the building but none were within her sight. Her eyebrows knitted together as she realized that the knights were perhaps either on errands, or taking days off as the chill weather was creeping in on the town of Era. Contrary to what would be her usual reaction of unease laced with hints of calmness, today she was rather excited.

Following her previous shenanigans that had occurred in the town of Orchidia, after which she had taken far too long to report back to headquarters, it was of no surprise that she had previously received an earful. Regardless, at this point, she would much rather prefer to avoid other knights, especially those who were her superior. They appeared to submit themselves to rage quite often in front of her. With a shrug, she heaved a sigh. Silence within the Rune Knights quarters was possibly the best at that point in time.

However, the mundane feeling that settled with her, along with the tranquility, was giving rise to boredom. The Bellan decided that her best way to spend the seemingly unproductive day was to go train for a while. It had been a while and recalling the incident which initially got her in trouble, she realized that she was perhaps nowhere close to being strong enough. Throwing her long, pink hair into a high ponytail, she changed her attire into something far more comfortable. A pair of leggings wrapped around her legs while a loose, sleeveless shirt, covering her upper-half rested underneath the simple black and white jacket.

The knight often preferred to spend time outside of the headquarters. There was something about this place which continuously burdened down on her. Perhaps it was the heavily reinforced hierarchy that clung to the entire structure of knighthood. While she may not have minded it at one point, the dispute between superiority and inferiority had become a rising issue of concern for her. She, for one, wasn't extremely keen on rising up the ranks through promotions because a part of herself wasn't sure that she wouldn't succumb to the desire for power and the subsequent affection towards controlling those below her. After all, she was only human.

Regardless of her long absence from the building, she recalled a very detailed map of it that wouldn't lead to the woman, hopeless at directions, getting lost. Xandra hoped that there was no one within the training room, located towards the end of the building. It was a large, indoor structure, meant to allow knights to train despite the harsh weather conditions. However, no many people frequently visited it. That gave her all the more reason to go. She pushed open the wooden doors, which creaked over the silence, only to stop momentarily after. Much to her dismay however, she heard a soft sound which sounded something like a blow. It was soft but not too far, giving a clear indication of an additional presence in the room. She would've turned around and left if it were any other day but that day in particular, she was hoping for some serious training. As the thought of having someone to train with or rather, fight against, crawled into her mind, she stepped into the room.

What she saw surprised her slightly, enough for it to be conveyed through her frowned brows and lightly tilted neck. Her purple eyes landed upon a young girl sitting on the bench. She appeared to be clad in the knight's uniform, which not many wore, giving a clear indication that she was, indeed, a knight. The surprising part was what she held in her hand. A stack of papers entered her view as she glanced at the woman who stared right back at her. "Ah, it seems I've disturbed you." She offered a small smile to the young lady before her.

"However, this is my first time seeing someone do paperwork in a place where people usually carry their swords." It was quite peculiar, but not as surprising as the fact that someone was willingly doing paperwork here. The Bellan didn't really know if it was done willingly though, she just roughly guessed without caring much about whether it was right or wrong.

Dreadnaught the Night it’s Harmless (Xandra and Noyiah) [Training] Empty Sun Dec 29, 2019 11:40 am

Noyiah Dashi
Her imagination played to its faults, as she quickly imagined a group of knights coming through all rambunctious and energetic, the very thought stressed her out, she didn’t really want to head home after walking all this way just to use the offices, that she happened to be locked out of.  Much to her dismay the door opened, but she was pleasantly surprised by who came through, she seemed almost out of place, but she was certainly dressed for the occasion, not so much for combat but more for a work out it seemed.   Instead of the rowdy bunch that she expected, a young pink haired woman entered.  If she was a knight, Noyiah hadn’t seen her around, though it wasn’t much of a shock there, Noyiah was still quite new herself.

Her voice seemed sweet and pleasant as she called out to Noyiah, it was enough for her to engage. Noyiah quickly switched from her previously aggravated expression to a warmer smile as her mood swayed. “ oh no! your good, I’m not where I should be,  but the offices were locked, and here was quiet enough to sneak a bit of work in.” She explained as she placed her pen down and realigned the papers against the side of the bench, placing the papers in a neat stack on top of the folder she had used to bring them that rested to her left.

She did her best to try not to discourage someone who wanted to better themselves, but before she could offer to leave, the woman before her made a humorous observation, the gravity of which wasn’t lost on Noyiah.  Her smile widened a bit as it became more genuine “both have their merits, but I think I prefer the paperwork.” Noyiah’s attempt at some casual small talk. She knew she could be far wittier then her remark but not wanting to make it awkward or misunderstood she kept it simple.

Standing up she would motion for her to come in “please, the room is yours if you’d like it, i can find somewhere else to work.” She offered out, but quickly drawing a conclusion of the dangers of being alone in the training grounds.  “well actually, id be happy to stay if you’re like a spotter, not that i don’t think you can’t handle yourself, its just good precautions.” She clarified.

Noyiah naturally watched the stranger, she had an air to her, she seemed to hold herself with integrity, sincerity and restraint.  The way she talked seemed well educated and organized, unlike some of the other knights she had happened upon, the excitable dimwitted, can’t even file paperwork right knights that she had moments before dreaded meeting. Noyiah observed details about her and committed them to memory, something she was particularly good at, her few years as an investigator had provided her with a good sociable skill set and she utilized it quite often.

It seemed a bit awkward with their happenstance encounter, realizing she might have been staring she picked up her papers, bag and pen, then tucking them under her arm. At this point she would venture closer, offering her free hand out, once she was close enough “Noyiah Dashi, it’s a pleasure” her voice trailing off a bit towards the end, upon coming closer, Noyiah noticed they were almost the same height and took note of it. She hadn’t met to many people who were around the same age and size. Her imagination went wild again, as she envisioned the idea of befriending this woman, the adventures and shopping spree’s they might have. The very idea excited Noyiah.

There was a certain calm in the air that surrounded the young lady who stared back at the Bellan. Upon entering, her eyes manage to catch the slight shift of expression that turned her dull, picturesque face into a more relaxed yet refreshing one. Her instant greeting was met with polite, yet quick words that escaped the knight's lips. Taking a closer look at the woman, she was indeed very pretty. Her platinum blonde hair, which hung loosely over her shoulders, complemented her pale blue eyes quite well. It was a shame that she was too preoccupied with cleaning up the mess of papers within her vicinity that they had to break eye contact.

Her platonic admiration however, soon came to a standstill, as her knitted eyebrows expressed her confusion upon hearing the words spoken to her. It hadn't been extremely strange that the headquarters were relatively empty at that time of the day, especially during that moment in winter. Regardless, the mere aspect of all the offices being locked seemed to be odd to her. Nevertheless, she found herself bothered with the issue and decided it was in her best interest to drop it. And yet, a part of her wished she had encountered those locked doors. Perhaps breaking them down, which appeared within the premise of likelihood given her personality, would have been her own little revenge against her superiors. Suppressing a chuckle at the idea of vandalizing the property of her own faction because of her petty payback really made her wonder if she was as knightly as she had once imagined.

Shrugging the thoughts out of her head, she listened as the lady replied to her comment, which she blurted out of curiosity but may have appeared to be either humorous, if she were someone who knew how to deal with lighthearted comments, or discrediting. After saying the words, she realized that her words could have a negative connotation if the female were to dig deep into it. After all, she was basically calling the blonde woman strange for doing something so out of the ordinary. Regardless, Xandra didn't see being strange as a negative characteristic. Much to her pleasure, the woman replied with a shrugging attitude to which she smiled.

Upon the motion prompting her to enter, she realized she was still by the door. She wasted no time in entering the room and walking over to an adjacent bench where she slipped off the jacket that rested on her shoulders. It appeared that the young lady intended on leaving, which made sense as both had aimed to use the same room for different purposes which might simply collide with one another but she didn't want her to leave. The young woman had just mentioned that there was nowhere else for her to go and regardless, it would prick at her conscience if she disturbed, possibly, the only serious knight she had seen in a while. Usually, knights either preferred to go on missions, patrols or train. There were not many who willingly sat down among a pile of papers. The Bellan had serious admiration for such knights because she for one, would fall under the former category.

However, before she could open her mouth to say something, the woman before her contradicted her words and offered herself to be a spotter. At her words, the pink-haired knight couldn't help but chuckle as a grin found it's way onto her lips. "Well, a spotter isn't really necessary, even as a precautionary measure." She gave a smile to the woman, "But I would appreciate some company."

Her nose scrunched slightly as continued with a sigh, "Training alone can be quite boring." Not that training with others was particularly fun as she realized that most mages, especially knights, had a prideful reaction to losing, so much that they took it to be more of a brawl between them than actual training meant for the betterment of their abilities. She couldn't help but wince as she realized she was a tad bit like that too. However, she knew how to keep her pride in check. Now whether the woman wanted to sit there and continue her work with occasional words of conversation, or wanted to engage with the Bellan in physical training was her choice to make. Xandra didn't really mind either.

The stranger, named Noyiah, didn't happen to ring a bell. Despite rarely spending time with the other other knights, the female tried to grasp as many of their identities as possible. Partially because it appeared that quite a few of the knights, unknown to her, were aware of who she was. It gets rather awkward and cumbersome to have to tell them she doesn't know who they are. She would do so anyways, but that never changes the fact that it's a nuisance. However, she had never heard the name Noyiah before. She could assume that the knight was new. It didn't really matter so she shrugged it off before grabbing her free hand into a firm shake. "Xandra Queen, the pleasure's all mine."

She took a step back, clasping her hands behind her back as she looked at the knight before her with a grin, wanting to see her reaction to her words that requested some company. After all, it would be a shame if she let this young lady go now, where there was such a bright opportunity for friendship before her.

Noyiah after gathering her stuff looked over to the pink haired knight, she responded to Noyiah’s offer with a laugh. Noyiah’s eyebrows rose as she tried to piece together what was funny about her offered, she truly believed it was better to have a spotter, though she had no understanding of the magic abilities of the knight before her, or what her training would entail.  Ready to take her leave as she had originally offered after introducing herself but was stopped by the next thing said.

Noyiah glanced back taking a deep breath, she clutched her papers a bit tighter and nodded. “well then i guess I’ll stay, at least for a bit.” She declared, her eyes looking over the young knight. Her next comment made sense, and Noyiah would nod in agreement,  it made sense in theory, but luckily she hadn’t had to deal with them yet,  between  Kazimir assisting her training and  training with the other recent recruits she didn’t have to luxury of a lot of alone time,  or at least not as much as she was used to. “i could see that” she agreed placing her books back down and then introducing herself.

Introductions took place and Noyiah vaguely remembered seeing the name Xandra before, but unable to immediately recall from where she had, she dismissed the thought and nodded once again, taking note of her elegance, the command of language and etiquette that a lot of knights lacked.  It was quite refreshing and Noyiah welcomed the change.   Already there was an admiration Noyiah held for Xandra, ~this was how a knight should act~, Noyiah found herself thinking. Now face to face with Xandra as she clasped her hands behind her back Noyiah’s hands made their way to her hips as placed them down firmly looking about, she wasn’t sure what was planned. So, she made sure to ask, “what were your workout goals today?” She asked casually letting her left hand slide down to her side, keeping her right hand still on her hip.  The grin was an interesting touch, it was enough for Noyiah to question it, but the subtlety of it seemed so natural.  Noyiah felt like this would be a person not easily talked into things, a similar personality to herself it seemed.

“ i should warn you i am not the most experienced when it comes to combat, though i am learning i fear that i will not be as beneficial for you as your advice might be to me.”
Noyiah shifted her weight from on foot to the next before crossing her arm out in front of her bracing it with her opposite arm and stretching as she pulled the elbow into her torso. Swapping over to stretch the opposite arm afterwards “ so if i am impeding your progress feel free to dismiss me, id rather be helpful than a hindrance.”

It appeared as if the knight standing before her graciously welcomed the Bellan's advanced towards her goal to acquire a training partner. She watched the woman firmly place her hands on her hips, exuding an air of confidence and calmness. Noyiah, as she had introduced herself, looked quite dominating as she was a woman as tall as the pink-haired knight herself, if not taller. It wasn't very often that she met such individuals. Regardless, she could see that the knight's appearance matched her words. Based of what she had seen, her words and her looks complemented each other quite well. She looked neat, strict and very focused. That was the impression Xandra got ever since she stepped into the room and the woman lived up to her impression. Her simple question, which is usually a given when training, was a clear indicator that she didn't do things without a reason and the Bellan could appreciate that, perhaps because she saw a bit of herself in her shoes.

At the question directed towards her, she unclasped her hands and leisurely crossed them under her chest as she pondered on her goals for today. As someone who's magic was more focused on enhancing her own physical capabilities, her training goals were almost always the same; to improve, to become better and to become stronger. She looked at the knight, her playful expression turning slightly serious. Nevertheless, her grin never faded, simply fell into a smile who radiated her appreciation towards the straightforwardness of the blonde woman. "The goals are pretty simple, to improve my strength, speed and endurance."

She was curious about the scenes yet to unfold as she took a moment to scan the woman before her, who would soon be her training partner. While she wasn't entirely sure how strong she was, her attitude was an admirable one but unfortunately, she didn't think that it would be a determining factor in bringing her any significant improvement. However, if there was anything that she could do, she could definitely be of assistance in helping her improve her speed and endurance. Perhaps, it was a good idea to test her out. As she moved onto warming up, claiming at she wasn't such good at combat and that there was doubt regarding her beneficial value to the Bellan, Xandra simply waved it off. "Having someone around is better than nothing. It's not like I'm planning to fight you. Who knows, this might just end up being equally beneficial to us both."

She turned around and walked, slipping off the jacket to reveal the white shirt underneath. Sauntering over to the corner of the room, she stretched out her body by twisting and turning, waiting for the woman to come forth. If in any case, she did feel like the knight was useless to her training, she would say so out loud. She wasn't someone to keep it within her heart but instead, on the tip of her tongue so she simply nodded once the woman completed her words. Glancing at the shelf in the corner, she picked up two pairs of finger-less gloves which cushioned the knuckles and tossed one to her new training partner while making her way into the middle. Luckily, the training room wasn't too big, rather perfect for the two women to go all out. However, the pink-haired woman wasn't sure if she should go all out or not and that decision would depend on what she judged the knight's physical skills to amount to. She stared at the woman with a grin before saying simple words, that would possibly cause some confusion.

"Hit me."

Noyiah Dashi
Her goals were reasonable and Noyiah nodded in agreement, they didn’t seem too specific, nor unreasonable, short sweet and to the point which Noyiah could appreciate.  Though throughout the encounter Noyiah had found herself to be tested, not that she minded but Xandra’s body language and demeaner seemed to be superior, the way she held herself, keeping some reserve of power behind her. She clearly knew how to handle herself and Noyiah had her doubts already about being able to keep up.  Though she didn’t seem to cocky, but there was enough of an indication that would make anyone she encountered think twice about their actions towards her.

Noyiah thought about what it meant for endurance, strength and speed training, it was something you could work on with a simple run, or with repeatable exercises like pushups. But she was instore for more than she likely understood.

Noyiah gave warning about her inexperience as she started to stretch, Xandra moving away from her to a more open area started also to limber up.  Her response was reasonable, and Noyiah couldn’t dispute it, someone was for sure better than no one, even if they were there just to keep you focused.  Noyiah squeezed her hand into fists as tight as she could then let her fingers spread out repeatedly until they felt dexterous, taking a moment to look at the rope burns she had gotten across her palm from her last training session.  She had struggled to move through that exercise, she had enough common sense to work with the team, but she wasn’t anywhere near the skill level that Judina or Kazimir were and found herself to even hinder them the last time they fought alongside each other.  Noyiah dismissed the thought and focused back to Xandra.  Noyiah continued to idly stretch until Xandra announced ~hit me~

Panic set in first as Noyiah looked at the woman who was confident enough to just offer such a thing out, she wouldn’t have any indication of how strong Noyiah may or may not have been yet, was poised and ready for anything that could come her way. Noyiah stood there for a moment wide eyed, a bit taken back by the comment. It was so simple and revealed a lot about her, enough that if gave Noyiah some doubts as to what she had just gotten herself into, the knights around here varied so much from each other and they were all strong in different ways.  Noyiah paused for a moment as she analyzed the task at hand, unsure if to even take it seriously, there were no rules set up before hand, and if Noyiah used the one weapon on her it would be the one and only trick she really possessed.

She was already at a disadvantage looking at her own cloths and then back to Xandra’s.  Noyiah was not dressed for the occasion and had never really fought in a dress before, although she was confident in the materials quality to hold up in a friendly training session.  There was a realization that with the lack of weapons present that maybe Xandra was a hand to hand fighter, in which case Noyiah was surely outmatched.  Hesitation set in and instead of acting as told to, she questioned. “hit you?” She asked a bit in disbelief. “are you sure you want to spar with someone you just met?” She asked more so fishing for a possible way out.

But if she was stuck in this spar, she would try her best to at least make it amusing for her counterpart. Maybe it was possible to outthink her opponent if she was in fact locked into this fight

Her unreasonable demand echoed through the tranquil room. The pink-haired female guessed that the blonde knight wasn't someone who would easily comply to her words; not without knowing the reason at least. After all, she had initially given that impression and as per her expectation, lived up to it. Her words were simple, coated with an underlying logic that questioned her actions. Xandra's slightly playful expression fell as her expression morphed into a more thoughtful one. She took a moment to observe and study the woman in front of her. Her outfit appeared rather uncomfortable, especially considering that the Bellan just sounded like she initiated a brawl. Moreover, the heavy clothing prevented Xandra from observing, simply from her physique, and estimating her strength. Hence, she had resolved to the solution that she thought was rather acceptable.

It seemed that regardless of how she chose to tackle it, Noyiah would question it. She wasn't someone easily coaxed into doing something she didn't know the reason behind. That was her general perception of this woman. She couldn't help but let out a smile as she compared this woman to other knights, who would have jumped at the opportunity to simply fight someone. The urge to let go of logic and simply let loose is quite strong, the female was well aware of that but because the woman before her wasn't like that, she couldn't help but admire her.

After all, perhaps it would be better that she explained herself. Crossing her arms under her chest, she simply looked at Noyiah, "It's less of a spar. To be honest, I'm just trying to get a feel of your strength." While she had no intention of attacking the woman back, she did realize that she was taking a risk. It was gamble because the scene she pictured could go in either direction; the knight could be much stronger than she had anticipated or weaker. It would be nice if they were about the same strength but Xandra realized she couldn't make any assumptions just yet. "So don't worry, maybe once I know how strong you are, we could perhaps formulate a plan as to what to do next. I have no intention of forcing you to fight me." She let out a small laugh.

"If you do feel uncomfortable with anything, feel free to tell me. I'd like this to be just as helpful to you as it can be for me."

The Bellan clenched and unclenched her fists repeatedly. It had been a while since she had the chance to train and improve herself so she was skeptical, wondering if her skills had gotten rusty but perhaps, she found her attention being drifted away from the training alone. She was more interested on how this encounter would unfold. So far, she had taken quite a liking to Noyiah so even if the training wasn't of much help, she still would like to get to know the knight better, as a friend rather than a colleague.

Noyiah Dashi
Her request at first unreasonable, seemed to make sense as she explained it more, it was still far bolder then Noyiah would risk, on the off chance she happened across someone that took it too seriously or was far weaker then Xandra judged them to be.

“ its hard to argue such logic, and I commend you for being so daring, but I think id rather assist in other ways, the last time I was injured in training I was out for a week, the captain was gracious enough to allow me to train in my own time until I caught up with the squads, but id rather be at my best encase something happens.” She reasoned, she wasn’t being unreasonable, she just felt that if there was an emergency she would need to be at her best, but in all honesty, it was likely a cowardly reason masked by reason.

In truth she was intimidated by her presence, she had a way about her that made Noyiah doubt her abilities when she mentally comparing them, or at the very least Noyiah knew she had no advantage to a fight against her at this time.

Shifting her weight back and forth from one foot to the other she looked about the room in attempts to find a way to weasel her way out of the offered spar, not that Xandra didn’t give her a way out when she made the clause allowing her to back out if she was uncomfortable, but far too proud to just outright say she was uncomfortable with it she pointed at a set of dummies In the back of the room. “Perhaps we can gauge strengths using the Combat dummies and reconvene another time for that spar when I am more qualified i am a only a page for a reason.” She explained, hoping that Xandra would just let her off the hook, but if push came to shove, she would go along with it.

“But I have wasted enough of your time, I can Leave you to your exercise, or I can help set the dummies up” she said look back to Xandra, it was so odd how she made Noyiah feel, it was rare to find someone so take charge and valiant, and it was quite daunting. Like if she made a mistake, she would lose her as a potential friend, a friend that she had envisioned the moment they had met.  It seemed to be all risk and no reward, or at least that’s how it felt.

The situation itself was starting to get odd as the frequency of the words that left the blonde's mouth spoke for itself. While the Bellan had simply wanted a partner to train with, she couldn't help but merely nod her head as the knight went on to talk about her injury. That was a genuine excuse but the way Noyiah drifted into detail couldn't help but earn a slight chuckle from her. It seemed that she had made the knight slightly uncomfortable. While she did give her the freedom of choice, she could see how it may have come off as enforcing. Given the woman's demeanor, it didn't appear that she was of an extremely high rank. Perhaps she was intimidated by Xandra, which was understandable considering that the tall, pink-haired woman, who solely relied on her physical strength was rather lean and toned. Moreover, the lack of hesitation in her might have given out her confidence in her capabilities. If Noyiah was weaker than she was, then it would explain her need to want to escape.

"An injury is a big deal and you're right, it's best to stay in your best shape. I wouldn't want you getting injured." Although the Bellan had absolutely no interest in attacking the young lady, only receiving attacks in order to enhance her endurance, it was obvious that asking her to hit her was a mistake. She couldn't help but sigh at her own behavior upon realizing that she should have worded it better.

Her gaze remained fixated on the woman in front of her as she uncomfortably shifted on her feet while her gaze subconsciously wandered, seeming to look for a way to escape. For some reason, Xandra was reminded of her old self, the shell that she had tried so hard to break through. Back then, she wasn't adequately adapted towards conveying her feeling and often came off as unapproachable and intimidating. It saddened her to see that, even now, she came off as intimidating despite having desperately wanting to run away from who she was before. Perhaps, change wasn't as easy as she had expected. It was slightly laughable to look at herself being dejected at coming off as intimidating but she suppressed the urge to do so and shook herself out of those thoughts.

She diverted her focus towards the visibly nervous knight in front of her and put on a smile. "Don't worry, I won't force you to train with me." She let out a small laugh, "You don't have to be that nervous." In an attempt to pacify her, she said so. While it may have been beneficial to have a partner, not having one wasn't going to hinder her training in the slightest. If she really did need one, there were plenty of rowdy knights around who would jump at the opportunity to fight against someone. It just so happened that she met one who was quite the opposite. It was something to appreciate.

Noyiah offered a suggestion, which felt like a compensation for her backing out but it was fine. It was a clever suggestion. The female turned her head and glanced at the dummies which the knight had pointed towards. She hadn't noticed them until now. perhaps, she did help her in the end anyways. "That's actually a good idea." She listened as the knight went on to say that she had wasted the Bellan's time to which she shook her head.

"If anything, I'm the one who wasted your time. It's alright, you can leave. You must have a lot of work to do." She tilted her head towards the pile of paper that Noyiah was dealing with before she had barged into the training. "I can take it from here."

Their meeting was short but not at all bitter. If anything, the female was determined to remove the impression of intimidation from Noyiah's head and replace it with a much more friendly one. After all, the blonde was a great candidate for friendship.

Noyiah Dashi
Her chuckle was amusing, it made Noyiah feel instantly better, Relief flooded through her as Xandra agreed with her, she thought for sure she would be pushed and belittled for her wanting to stay in good health, but unwilling to better herself, it barely made sense to Noyiah, let along a Stanger.  “ I do plan on bettering myself, I just don’t want to push myself recklessly” she reinstated to clarify precisely why she was chickening out of the training. Her attention turning back to Xandra a bit more.

Noyiah shifted her eight to her left food again as she  met eye contact with Xandra, who at this time told her that she didn’t have to be nervous, which was understandable, it didn’t even really make sense to herself as to why she was so worried, maybe the cold was getting to her, maybe the sleep schedule of a sleepless detective was the issue, either way she quickly unclenched her jaw, finding that she had been  pushing teeth together. Tension between them seemed to fade, or at least the tension Noyiah thought was there seemed to diminish and she quickly returned her smile, making sure to smile properly and not smirk like usual. “I’m sorry, I don’t know what’s gotten into me, I’m being foolish.” She stated aloud, it was something she didn’t like to admit, but there was no pulling the wool over Xandra’s eyes she seemed to keen to be tricked by words, no matter how pleasant they sounded.   And at this time, that was really all Noyiah had going for her, with her wits matched she really was just an overworked paper pusher in comparison.

Her offer to work with the dummies didn’t seem to be in vain, a first attempt to avoid fight entirely and it seemed to have paid off,   She had offered to help put out the dummies for her to work with, an offer that was politely rejected as she said she could handle it from there. Respecting her wishes she nodded sharply once. “Alright~, well it was great meting you, and ill try and find you again sometime, when I feel more confident in my own abilities.” She reasoned, wanting to get the message across that she was grateful for the opportunity but would rather do something less strenuous, she turned to get her bag looking back at Xandra before she started towards the door. “See you around” she called out, trying not to get in her way, “ and stay safe” she called out as she reached the door, turning back around to look at Xandra one more time.  It was so odd how vulnerable she had felt,  her words wouldn’t work on her and Noyiah had felt entirely disarmed, she would have to find a way to be more effective, she needed to be better, and if she wasn’t such a proud person she should have came back in and did the training with her. But Tried and defeated Noyiah disappeared out the door to head back to see if the offices where unlocked.

The offices were still in fact locked when she got to them, shaking her head she returned home, a small thirty minute walk, down a nice hill, in the winter with the wind softly blowing, all in all a good day, even if she hadn’t accomplished what she set out to, meeting Xandra was most definitely a eye opening interaction that made her want to better herself, and if they never met again at least Noyiah would have her to thank for setting her on some new goals.

The atmosphere around them lightened as the blonde knight visibly relaxed in Xandra's presence, much to her relief. She went on to speak about how she would much rather prefer to do any act that would further deteriorate her health or worsen her injury immediately and that she'd like to wait until nature took it's course with her recovery before going on to engage in reckless behavior. While the Bellan didn't personally see training as any sort of reckless action, she merely nodded in understanding. However, for someone like Noyiah, who didn't particularly show interest in combat from the get-go, it could easily be considered so.

Despite having met for only a short, fleeting time period, Xandra had managed to get a feel of Noyiah's personality through the subtle hints she had dropped via either her words or her body. It was quite obvious that she was a woman of words, someone who was also quite good at it. She didn't needlessly engage in combat and chose to settle things with words. It was an admirable quality because the Bellan lacked that sort of patience. If push came to shove, she would easily settle it with her actions rather than submitting to a needless and endless game of mind and tongue. It was simply easier.

As her body loosened, releasing the pent up tension she withheld in her jaw, Xandra simply listened to the knight as she went on to explain her behavior. It was quite possible that she had noticed the faltered smile on her lips and chose to explain herself, without truly noticing the reason why. It was understandable. Maybe the pink-haired female had been too sensitive about the topic that no matter how forcefully she tried to subdue the feelings of dejection, she simply couldn't. She had slowly been losing her reasons, her passion and her ambition that she once had while running away from her own past. Even though she had lost all that, she felt much happier now but as the negative emotions towards her past-self began to overflow, she found herself unable to run any further.

She realized how silly her own thoughts sounded as she submerged within them, only to snap out of it upon hearing the words that led to a farewell coming out from Noyiah's lips. Quickly shaking herself out of her own trap, she decided to focus her attention on the woman before her. After all, she would have all the time later on to brood over the foolishness of her own emotions. Now, she wanted to prioritize the seeming end to this impressionable first encounter.

"It was an absolute pleasure meeting you too. We have plenty of time, it's not like either of us are going anywhere. You can move forward at your own pace. I'll be waiting for the day you come and find me." A small smile adorned her lips as she found herself genuinely liking the woman before her. Giving her the hope that they may meet again was an exciting thing. After all, she wasn't particularly close to any of the knights so having a friend sounded delightful. However, she wasn't extremely sure about her own words. Was she planning to simply remain stagnant her whole life? She didn't know. Even to her, the future seemed bleak and reeked with unsurity but that was perhaps the excitement of it.

She watched as the blonde left the room, saying words laced with a hopeful future to which she couldn't help but reply. "I hope to see you around too." As long as they were both within the same faction, there were chances that they'd run into each other again and that widened the smile on her lips.

Once she left however, she found her smile fading as she walked over to the dummies. She spent perhaps a few hours thoughtless training without making much progress. There were simply a lot of things that reigned heavy in her mind. After who knew how long, once she realized she was getting nowhere, she decided to leave the room and head back towards the inn she was temporarily staying at.
