Requiem walked along the streets of the town. The sky was bright and clear, the air a bit chilly, and people out in force enjoying it before it took a turn for the worst. She wore a simple skirt and blouse with a jacket to ward off the chill. A minor add on was the flower shaped hair pin. Not anything particularly fancy but still very nice.

A light breeze blew her hair in her eyes and she had to brush it back before looking up at the church bells ringing the noon hour, "I wonder if he's mad that we haven't stayed in touch. Or perhaps he's forgotten again." That had been a particularly disturbing time. She watched as children ran past laughing and playing. Part of her wanted to forget her worries and join them, but the other part told her that she needed to keep aware and focus.

Without a second thought, she walked into a cafe and ordered a light meal as she waited for her friend to show up. She also considered inviting him to join her hunting down Phantom Lord members as part of the campaign to get ride of the dark guild. Although there was also rumors of demon incursions that she thought she should help with.

Learning that she wanted to see him was a blessing in itself. While he didn’t have complete recollection of his memories of before there was one woman he did remember fondly, the same that he had watched a sunset with before the battle against PL. The one that he sadly wasn’t apart of.

The message had come loud and clear and he didn’t quite know what to do besides jump for joy and try to maintain the cleaning habits Alisa taught him. He made sure he was well rested and left plenty of food in his gut for when they ate. He also took care to redo his hair and made a special attempt to put on sweet smelling cologne. He wanted everything to be perfect for her, he didn’t quite know why but he wanted to show her a great outing.

Rolling his shoulders and staking a deep breath as he approached the cafe, there were chocolates under one arm and just a rose in another. He wanted to look his best, though he was unsure what sort of chocolate she liked and he had taken the liberty of testing one or two but hey! The thought was only what counted after all.

When he reached the cafe he’d opened the door and scanned the room for her only to pause when his eyes rested on the bluenette. She was as beautiful as he remembered, immediately pacing to sit across from her he’d offer a greeting.

“Reqi! It’s so good to see you.” he beamed as he placed the chocolates on the table, “I don’t know what kind you like so I just went and got the box with all of them.. You look really pretty by the way.”

Requiem's feline ears twitched at her name and she jumped up with a bright smile, "Baron! It's been too long." She turned bright red at the complement and became a stuttering mess, "I-I...t-t-thanks..." She wasn't used to being complimented like this and if she was being honest, Baron looked and smelled very nice indeed.

She accepted the gift gratefully. Requiem realized too late that she hadn't gotten anything for him and her ears drooped, "I didn't get anything for you though" she sad sadly before perking up again, "I know, we could have a day out on the town." She had completely forgotten that was the point, "A lot of stuff happened with the attack on Phantom Lord and in the aftermath." She sat down and set the box on the table gently, "there was the guy with a flaming arm, another guy with a giant creature, and some chick that gave up before the fight really started. And then the really powerful guy showed up and we had to retreat." She shuddered at the memory of the late arrival.

Requiem shook her head and the shadow passed, "so what's happened with you since we last met?"

Baron listened intently to everything his friend said, it seemed she and the other knights had been going through quite a bit of adversity before they had lost contact. “I’m sorry to hear that, but honestly I’m just glad you made it out alright. I even feel a little proud, you faced all of that with the other knights? Makes me wish I never got kicked out.”

He’d place his hands on the table top and offered a warm smile when asked about what he had been up to, “Well, I’ve been training. Blue Pegasus is my current guild and after you and the others sort of disappeared for a bit I went training in the wilderness on my own...”

He cleared his throat, “I know one thing’s for sure though. I missed you a lot. Those beautiful eyes, your adorable smile and the way your ears twitch when I touch them in fact...” he’d lean over the table and without asking or even giving a slight warning he’d massaged her ears between the thumbs and index fingers of each hand.

They were just as soft as he remembered and with them even more memories were coming back to him. He couldn’t quite put a finger on it but he remembered more about this woman.

“You like that?”

Requiem blinked in surprise, he had been thrown out of the Knights? She would have to ask about that some other time. She smiled as he spoke of his training, that was something she remembered from every time she saw him. A constant that never changed. His confession of how he missed her made the girl blush like mad as he spoke.

She didn't know quite when, but the best feeling ever came over as Baron rubbed her ears. She also didn't remember when she had moved her chair around next to his nor when she started to purr, "Mmm... that feels nice... it takes me back to last time." Those days they hadn't been able to enjoy the time much as the chaos of the coup as well as the fighting against Phantom Lord before the sudden lull where everything seemed to freeze for a couple months as people prepared.

She leaned against him, listening to his heart while her own thundered like a train on full speed, "this is nice. I could spend all day with you like this" she said dreamily as she nuzzled against him.
