Rishi had popped up from behind the counter, finishing up organizing the extra things that the wizard had kept under his desk. She had been asked by Khalash to watch the shop while he was gone, and she was told that there were probably not going to be more people arriving. She wasn't really worried about this, as watching a shop with more than two people would get more than a bit annoying, as there would be a third wheel and she was normally that third wheel. She had helped him before, so Rishi had been the first person he had come to ask to watch the shop. It was night time when he had come, and she was trying to have a nice time enjoying the night outside in Magnolia until he had found and asked her, and she had without a second thought accepted.

She had a clutter on the floor, and there was going to be no way of anyone getting to the backside of the counter unless they were going to go through a jungle. She had done this partially so she could keep the seat behind the counter guarded, and partially so she didn't have to stare at the disgusting mess that had lived behind the counter. Luckily, when she bent down you couldn't see her or the mess, so the shop had looked pretty much empty. Khalash had told Rishi that he would be back later, and with that, he had dashed out of the store. The door had opened and closed one second after the other, and the small bell that had been hung above the door had rung both times, and the last time it had rung Rishi had been ready to start her shop keeping duties. She was instructed to let no one into the backroom, not even herself, and to make sure that there would be no chaos while he was gone, making sure that no one made a mess or stole anything from the store. These were some pretty easy tasks, as she would figure that there wouldn't really be anyone like that coming in. This was a more sophisticated store, and there would most likely be no little kid coming in and thrashing the store.

She sat down in the chair behind the desk, and had just scanned the room. She wasn't really allowed to leave the store, so she wasn't sure what she was going to do all day. Nothing interesting really happened from what she's seen when she's come to this store, as it's mostly just more quiet mages that come in, buying the small things that they need, then heading out. This was going to bore her, so she had just let thoughts on old things that she had put aside for later fill her head, and she had lost track of time. By the time she was one thinking she had already sold items to many customers without even realizing it. Her thoughts got the best of her, and she put them back to rest and had gotten back to work.

Rishi had been doing the same things all day, sitting, selling, and then sitting again. There wasn't much to this shopkeeper job, just that she had to keep the shop running normally, and she wasn't sure how Khalash did this all the time. It was boring and she felt that she needed to get up and do something, not just sit there for the rest of her life selling magical items to quiet wizards. She didn't know what she was going to do for the rest of the day, and she had sort of wished that the chair she had been sitting in was a swivel chair, so that she could entertain herself until Khalash had gotten back, just like she had entertained herself at the bathhouse before hitting her head on a counter. She had wished that hadn't happened to her, because now she has a big gash on her head. It would heal normally and leave nothing behind if she didn't mess with it, and that was what she was going for. She didn't want a giant scar on her forehead for the rest of her life, as if she had ever mover her hair away from her forehead, everyone would see a big scar going across her forehead, and when they would ask how it happened, she would have to tell the embarrassing story again and again. She had to put that thought aside though, as a few teenagers had walked in. Everything had seemed fine at first, but then soon enough, they had started laughing and smacking things off the shelf. Luckily they weren't any glass items that would break, but they had been expensive things that were very hard to repair. She ran over and picked them up, making sure that they hadn't been damaged, and to her surprise, they had been just fine. This was a big relief, but it wasn't completely over yet. The teens had demanded that they go into the back room, but Rishi had been told that she wasn't supposed to let anyone back there. She had told them to leave and they did, but before they had left they had called her a bitch. Rishi really didn't think much of this, as she didn't really care about what other people thought about her.

She had a pretty quiet day after that, and she was actually happy that nothing had happened after that. Things were peaceful, and she had a lot of time to think about the past and plan what she was going to do in the future. Khalash had come back a few hours later, around midnight, and had given her the money she was owed. He had thanked her for watching the shop for so long and had sent her off into the night. Today was a bit strange, and she had hoped that tomorrow would be a better day. Maybe things would be a little more interesting, and a lot less of a pain to deal with.
