Syliph sat on the street bench, reading over the books he had stolen from the holy knight library. The contents of the book made Syliph think more about what Alexius VanGuard had said, if he was correct, it had been, "Thank you for getting this door open." The first book was a detailed history of battle techniques of all the things the Holy knights had been done, except for a few pages near the beginning that had been torn, the dates before and after correlated around the time the gods fell for the first time. Syliph moved on to the next book, placing the battle strategy book in the keep pile. Moving on he chose one with an old black cover, the title was written in silver italics, the letters seemed to wave all over the page like the writer had a hard time writing vertical lines. The pages had the same familiar yellow stain that the other book pages had. If Syliph squinted he could make out the words, the book listed off something,
Fehereus
Haven
Malefik
Quarver
Capricorn
Capricorn? Syliph's mind wondered, was this a list of gods? Syliph continued to read.
nymphae
Dwarfis
Syliph stopped reading, there were many more but he had other stuff to do., they clearly meant the gods, apparently all the known gods, no matter what plane they existed in. Shifting through the pages, he saw that the pages went farther into the relationships between the gods and the trees, or collection of gods. One page went over the zodaic gods.
Amount in collection: 12(possibly 13)
Worshippers: -hidden in unkown location-
Abilities: elements, increased traits
relationships: Conflicting, the gods seemed to have mixed opinions, often forming groups that pit each other against one another.

"That's certainly unflattering, I wonder who wrote this?" He whispered under his breath. Wrapping his hands under the book he slid it back into the bag, he had just created a new pile, a private pile, he'd be reading this again.

Standing up he swung the back over his shoulder, the one and only Alice Nightingale had complained to Syliph again, this time he was supposed to go bribe the director to make Alice the lead, and knowing her rep that wouldn't be easy, especially if someone had a grudge against her and for once was in a position of power over her. Sitting back up, a thin figure caught his eye, but their figure was quickly lost as he looked over to see the oddly thin figure, they had seemed almost snake like in their thin appearance. Turning his head, he tried to block the thought of another stalker out of his head, he was truly tired of being followed, he was just getting accustom to Ameliae not following him in her cat form, he did not want some thin snake-person to be his unwanted companion for 3 months until he finally agrees to something. Rubbing his forehead, he turned into the door of the theater, he was just going to take this job and get it over with

The theater lobby was crowded with audience members, actors and their families who had come to see them preform, the smell of gifted roses floated through the entire lobby like the plague. Sliding through the crowd of people he felt like he was navigating through a maze. People bumped into him every other step and it had become a sort of menace that he truly hated. Looking at the time he sat down on another bench, the director wouldn't be here for another hour, and it was no use breaking into the office and sitting there and waiting for him, it would only make it harder for him to convince the guy to let Alice Nightingale be the lead role in the skit. Syliph rubbed his temples, Alice Nightingale was already a somewhat unsavory character in the eyes of the other actors and directors in the theater, they saw some of her tactics as drastic, and an overreaction. Rubbing his hands together, he closed his eyes, not falling asleep, just resting his eyes from looking, he had plenty of time so he didn't need to be that punctual.

His mind wandered as he sat there, a better term for what happened was "zoning out." Colorful swirls drifted across his line of sight, blast of what looked like magic came from every angle, it was if Syliph was watching a battle that no one else could see. Purple fire crashed into an invisible wall, in response a wave of green energy screeched toward some unknown person. It seemed so real Syliph couldn't tell whether it was imagination acting up, a vision from the gods, a vision into another universe, or he was on some serious drugs. At one point the purple fire took the shape of a massive dragon and raged towards an unknown target. And the green energy morphed into what looked like a mini-sun, it paused int the air than spun towards a target of unknown origin. The sparks and flame crashed around everywhere, but not catching anything on fire. Finally he glanced at the clock, noticing the time, he had seen that more than an hour had passed, so now was probably a good time to go talk to the director about the proposition of the one and only Alice Nightingale being the lead, which would be an interesting experience.

The Director's room was down the hallway and up the stairs, the director's room overlooked the stage so he could overlook the stage and correct the performance of the many actors. Syliph groaned at the thought of being an actor, it seemed tedious and cut throat, but ironically, his job was dangerous too, and yet he was complaining about a job that would probably a little bit less stressful, but he'd never work at a theater as cutthroat as this one, working here would be a nightmare, one Syliph planned on never having. Rolling up his sleeves he held the door knob in his hand and with a quick twist he was inside

Syliph had never actually been in the director room. It was more like a mini apartment. There were multiple doors to what Syliph assumed was other parts of the rooms. The lacrima cameras were all connected to this room so the director could see everything. Two of the doors had label, one was labeled “balcony” and “office.” Since there was no one here he decided that the office was the best place to look. Wiping his hands on his pants he opened the door to the private office. Inside sat a man in front of some lacrima screens, his white was pulled right into a ponytail and a plaid cap on his head. In fact, everything he wore was plaid. There was also a man on the far side of the room, he wore a black robe and was fully bald. ”who on earth do you think you are?” the director asked. ”I am Syliph Kamae, a loyal fan of Alice Nightingale, and I believe she should have the lead role, she’s been in more plays than the current lead, she has a better voice, she has seniority here over her and last but not least she’s just overall better than the current lead in everything.” Syliph said. The director scowled ”Alice Nightingale is an actor who overreacts at the tiniest thing, she also is far to deep in the muck of Marigold, she’d be better off packing up and leaving here all together. Or she should become a mage and join a dark guild. So No, I will not give Alice Nightingale the lead role, Ellis, take care of Syliph Kamae here.” Ellis, as the bodyguard was known, stepped toward Syliph. ”Get out punk, before I snap your arms and legs like twigs.” Ellis sneered. ”Look, all I want is for Alice to be the lead, not to be in a fight.” Syliph said. Ellis sneered again, curling his hands into tight fists. He took another step closer and swung at Syliph, but his fist never connected. Syliph stood with his arm shielding his face, a glimmering hologram of a Minotaur floated around him, The Spell would have completely negated the punch. using only 25 mana out of all Syliph’s mana pool. Snapping his fingers, the familiar glow of the orange red light leaves appeared. With the one meter ring around, Syliph stepped closer to Ellis, his fingers ready to snap. Ellis held up his hands in defense, he obviously had never practiced magic, and there was no where for him to run towards. The director sat tense in his chair, to stressed to talk. Syliph sighed and snapped his finger, and the leaves moved into a mass and lurched towards Ellis, colliding with a sickening thunk. Ellis sat in a somewhat bloody pool on the floor, he’d be fine, just body guarding wouldn’t be happening for awhile. The director raised his hands, ”Alice can have the part, just leave the poor guy alone, you just punctured multiple holes in him. Just please get out.” the director said. Smiling Syliph turned and left, he had succeeded in all essences that could be essences.

Leaving the private office he threw the first aid kit in the room, even though the body guard was probably well enough to roll somewhere. He smiled as he closed the door to the private directors room, or mini-apartment. Striding back down the stairs he strolled down the stairs, grabbing his book bag, he took the familiar turns towards Alice Nightingale’s dressing room, it was the one where the star name tag changed pretty much every week. One week it had been multiple stars, ranging in many different sides, while one week it had been one made of solid diamonds, and this one was now s little less flashy, but less flashy was still an understatement. The new one was a thin sheet of gold with her name inscribed in it, small white and red flowers outlined the entire star.

With a knock he entered the door, smiling at Alice Nightingale. He relayed the information of what had happened and she smiled, giving Syliph a hug...and the money he had been promised. She waved goodbye as he left and went back to fixing her hair for her upcoming play, not the one Syliph had just gotten her the lead in, but one where she played the royal princess Baleia, a rebel who won the hearts over many different princes.

Syliph strolled our of the lane, money in hand, it had been a rather successful day. Carrying the small bag of money in his hand he returned to his inn to sleep. If he looked behind him every once In awhile he could see a cloaked figure behind him, but her chose to fully ignore it.
