Odin †

The moon was high in the night sky as Odin wandered through the abandoned streets of Dahlia, waiting for a message that he didn't know would come. He was going to do some work for a Bishop Santos, the man in charge of the church in Dahlia, which made him possibly the most powerful man in the town, as it had no current leader. Santos had, the dark mage had learned after doing some research into his client, recently come into power after the true Lord of Dahlia had passed away, and it seemed like his first order of business was to take control of the town through the church and through fear. Any who stood against him were branded heretics and tried, usually resulting in a death sentence, which had caused many to avoid speaking publicly about their opinions. Many thought that Santos didn't deserve the power he possessed, but none were prepared to do anything about it. None, that was, except for a small few.

Santos had contacted the Lich, having heard about the being roaming the town, to do some of his dirty work for him, and to save him the hassle of trying someone he was going to kill anyway. There were meetings, held in the darkest parts of the town where people felt safest. Meetings where people discussed how to depose the Bishop from his position of power, and that was something the holy man could not abide by. Odin cared little for religion, having greatly despised it during his time as a vessel. Now that he was free of Lucifer's hold, it had no bearing on him. He was a being that, arguably, completely contradicted the church's view on death, but work was work, and money was money, regardless of its source.

In the dark of night, Odin saw an approaching priest, a man running to meet the Lich, clearly in a hurry, but clearly afraid as his eyes widened upon approach. He had probably heard the stories but not believed them, thinking Odin to just be an evil mage, and not a true being of darkness like he was. The priest stood, wide-eyed, taking Odin in for a moment, before passing on a note and running in the opposite direction, no doubt returning to tell the tale of the evil creature he had seen in his town. If Santos had been a true man of God, he would've made it his mission to hunt down someone like Odin and exterminate him, not pay him for work. In that regard, the Lich was rather fortunate.

On the note was an address, one hidden away in the furthest out area within Dahlia town's borders, and even then it was well hidden, tucked behind three or four identical houses. Whoever had built this place, and whoever had chosen it for meetings, they knew what they were doing. Unfortunately, it wouldn't matter, not now that the Reaper had come to find them.

Odin †

The house itself was bolted shut, and Odin had no way of accessing it through the front door, having to walk around to find an opening round the side of the house. As he reached the back wall of the building, he noticed a window that wasn't as chained down as the others, potentially the way that the people gathered inside managed to get in or out. One chain and a padlock was all that kept Odin from entering the room, and they were nothing to the dark mage, who had two impressively sharp knuckle blades, blades that were more than capable of cutting through the wood of the window, and pop out the glass pane without breaking it. Silently, the dark mage entered the building, which seemed to be as deserted as the outside of it. If not for the impressive lengths taken to ensure no one could enter, Odin would've thought he was in the wrong place, but that couldn't have been the case, not here. His targets were located in this building somewhere, they were simply hidden.

Walking around the building, the dark mage noted that it had once been a house, but the original occupants were long deceased, having been attacked by lycans from the looks of the state of the rooms: matted fur, blood stains, and claw marks painted the scene of a family hunted in their own homes and preyed upon. Vampires wouldn't have left any blood, and no animals were capable of creating such large gashes in the wood. But, not matter how hard Odin searched through the two story building, he could find no secret meetings, or anything to even suggest something of the sort. Returning to the room where he had entered, some kind of living room from the looks, Odin saw it. A closet, fixed to the far away wall by a lot of metal hinges. Of everything in the house, it was the only thing lacking in dust. Everywhere else in the house was covered in dust, having not been disturbed in years, perhaps decades. But this closet had ben touched, even moved, and recently.

Swinging the closet on its hinges was an easy feat for the mage, and behind it there seemed to be a simple wooden door, but the Lich could feel more coming from it. A warm air emanated from the doors gaps, suggesting more beyond, but the door itself was magically attuned, and would sound an alarm if any tried to access it with magic. The door would have to be opened the old fashioned way, which resulted in Odin using his blade, sliding it through the lock, and cutting the mechanism, allowing the door to open easily, and allowing the dark mage to descend the steps into a rather small chamber, one that was currently occupied by a group of around nine people, a mixture of genders and ages, with even two children standing in the corners.

It was a slaughter, Odin using his blades to murder every last one of them in cold blood, with no hesitation for his victims, regardless of their ages. They were his enemies, and they fell with ease. The walls were painted red, and Odin was the only one to leave the house, returning to the priest, who waited with his reward. Paid for murder, how appropriately cliché for the mage.
