Aleksandr was in the washroom and he was looking at the mirror, more like looking at himself. He had just shaved and was just looking at his face, now clean-shaven. A while ago, his face had a light stubble and he didn’t like beards or stubbles, so he just shaved it off. He put his right hand on his left cheek and stroked his cheek, now it didn’t feel like it did before. He splashed some water on his face after turning on the tap and then exited the bathroom and wiped his face with a towel. He was still wondering about that day when he saw Dmitry after touching that ball. He was still confused about how that happened, maybe it was magic. Wow, magic can be so different. Terrifying and Magnificent at the same time, guess that was its nature. Speaking of which, Dacol had contacted him privately to talk more about that spirit and that he saw the light again but there was a twist this time, he saw it in more of a humanoid form, different than the ball shape he and Dex had seen it in, which was kind of weird but well, he had to help Dacol anyways because he wanted to know more about the entity and well Dacol was giving him some money and more money can never hurt, but it was also curiosity that he agreed to do a request related to one that he got injured in but one of the reason was that he wanted to know what was the deal with the light; even if it gets him injured again.

Speaking of the mission and injuries, Aleksandr had a bruise on his neck due to having been thrown and pushed away from that light the day he was helping Dex to investigate the entity he saw, the blue ball of light in which he saw Dmitry. He open the mini-fridge in his inn room and pulled out a ice pack that he was gonna apply to his neck, he was already dressed up in the attire he was in yesterday, grey track pants, a grey high neck jacket which will help in hiding his bruise and a shirt inside with the same shoes from yesterday. He had bruises on his chest too but they were pretty minor so they didn’t really hurt, he walked out of his inn room and locked the door, throwing the key in his pocket. He was still applying the ice pack on his neck. He walked downstairs and started walking to where he and Dacol had agreed to meet.

Aleksandr soon reached the place Dacol and he had agreed to meet, by the looks of it Dacol was determined to find an answer to what was happening, he was probably concerned about the safety of the town. It was evening, the sun sank lower into the sky and the light of the day was draining away, there was a buzz of mosquitoes and the air had become cooler, the shadows of the two males had become twice as long as they were really. Aleksandr sighed and walked closer to Dacol, he looked at the man and shook his hand with the ice pack now in a dustbin.

Aleksandr decided to break the silence between them and spoke up in a firm tone - “Hello, Dacol. So could you tell again about what we’re doing today?” as Dacol answered - “We’re gonna investigate the riverside and the job was about that blue ball of light that you saw, I saw it too. How about we discuss about it walking there to save time?” Alek smiled and said - “Okay.” and he then started walking to their destination, which was the riverside, the same place he and Dex had seen the blue ball at, he didn’t want and wanted to at the same time, Dacol was walking beside him and he started telling him about the thing he saw - “The blue ball of light is at the same place, but it’s different. Its humanoid and looks like a small child and at the same time, it glows.”

Aleksandr looked at the man and shrugged, he thought - ‘Oh well, if what he is saying is true, then I guess we’ll just find out.’ and then replied to Dacol, he spoke firmly “Okay, so it’s at the same place, right?” and Dacol answered for what it seemed like to be the second time - “Yes, it’s at the exact same place that you told me about and Dex told me about.” Alek nodded and looked in front, walking at rather fast pace but Dacol was able to keep up with him and that’s all that was to it and he sighed again.

Soon reaching where they had to and night had started to fall, there it was standing beside the water, a small child, cyan colored and glowing, exactly as Dacol had described him, realizing that the man, Aleksandr sighed and looked at the entity, or the spirit as you may want to call it. Something in his head was saying ‘Come closer.’ it was very alluring, he really wanted to go closer to the entity even if it meant that he will get injured, again. Dacol asked him for clarification and he replied - “It said to come closer, I wanna know what he wants to say to me.” Dacol shivered and gulped, staying a few steps behind Aleksandr.

The ‘entity’ told Aleksandr that it was the spirit of someone who was dead due to the magic they had as a mortal, they had become semi-tangible? Oh well, weird. It claimed all of this and also claimed they embodied the collective mana of the river and the forest around. This all seemed weird, Dacol asked Alek to communicate with the entity and tell him about everything it said, Alek agreed and complied with it and started communicating with the ‘spirit’ and Dacol started taking notes. After they were finished, the entity also asked him something, two things to be exact and then disappeared. Weird but well, so was the world.

Aleksandr was feeling weak by now and had a headache, Dacol was finished with his notes and slipped some money into Alek’s pocket and told him to go home, the man also told him to contact some ‘Inspector Nilan.’ if he heard or saw that ‘entity’ again. He agreed and left for his inn room to rest, while Dacol had to notify some people. He reached his inn room, unlocked it and entered it, he started the radio and jumped on the bed, he threw his shoe off and took off his pants, the door was closed, the first song that he heard on the radio was Pinball Wizard by The Who as he smiled and slowly drifted into sleep.
