Shielding her face from the sun, the vampire heaved a sigh as her eyes struggled to stay open. While everyone enjoyed the joys of travel during this weather, Valeria found herself hating them more than anything. As a creature of the night, she was someone who much more comfortable within the cool, dark shade of the ebony sky. The sun did nothing more than irritate her. The spread of warmth over her entire body, the light heat stings over her skin and most importantly, the accumulation of sweat while standing underneath mother nature’s burning gaze; she disliked all of it. To an extent, she could be empathic towards those who enjoyed such weather but perhaps it was her cold personality or the fact that her body had adjusted to the chill, she could never relate to them. Then again, there were very few people that found herself adequately being in the shoes of.

Over the years, her travels had been multiple in numbers. There were very few places that she had not stepped foot in on her search for vampires to hunt down. Heading to the east was an important part of her plan. Now that she had decided to begin her plan of taking over a vast majority of the vampire population, what better place to start than Dahlia. It was a nest, swarming with creatures of the dark like insects. She had previously gone there to hunt but when it came to sheer numbers, even her power was unable to solely keep her up. This time, however, she was making her way there in order to attain more numbers. She realized that there was little that she could do by herself. While her ambitions still remained the same, few in number and weak in will, she had to begin by establishing herself as a superior individual.

There was a lot that she had yet to do. The peace and calm that her travels brought granted her enough time to think about it. However, it also granted her with the time to relax and enjoy the world as it moved past her because she realized that from now, there would be very little opportunities for her to stop and observe everything around her. She would no longer be a mere observer but rather, aimed to be a ringleader. Therefore, her hobby would have to come to an unfortunate end. It was a shame, really. She quite enjoyed halting and wandering her gaze around. At the petty fights that break out at the inn, at the verbal hauls thrown around on the streets and at the bludgeoning fights that people just love to throw themselves into. It was all far too entertaining for her. Predicting that it might be one of the last times, she took her time on the way to the east.
