ManaName: The Bonding Ceremony Difficulty: Short Participants: Sayida Story: A Guardian in Desierto is someone chosen by the gods to protect different important aspects of the earth. The guardians align with the elements, meaning there are a total of 10; Oasis, Sun, Gale, Sky, Forest, Unknown, Desert, Day, Night, and Moon. These guardians are responsible for making sure that each of these parts of Desierto are protected. Each guardian is known to inherently have the abilities of a seer or an oracle, capable of communicating with spirits and peering into the past and future of those willing to allow them too. As such, these guardians are respected throughout the country and are supposed to be most loyal to the spirits and gods of that element. It is a big responsibility but it is not one you can reject. It is told that those who have rejected their responsibilities as a guardian are haunted by the spirits. Sayida has always embraced her responsibilities. Most of her life has been dedicated to learning the way of the Guardian. However, she is young and ready to venture out and see what more life has to offer outside of Desierto. The Oracles have decided that they would grant Sayida a 5 year grace period before she is to return home and fully commit to her duties. Now that she has finished her training, before she ventures out she must be baptized and reborn again. This is called the Bonding Ceremony. The guardian gets all dressed up in items and colors relating to that element before offering sacrifices to the gods and spirits, then fully engulfing themselves in their respective element to become one with them, ie; "Bond". Should they come out alive, the gods and spirits approve and the ceremony is complete. It's a big ceremony, one embraced by the entire temple that she belongs to and all of her loved ones are invited. Objective: Participate in the bonding ceremony and become the Guardian of the Oasis. |

Name: A Blessed Rebirth! Rank: D Type: Good Participants: Sayida Summary: This is the final phase of the Bonding Ceremony. All of Sayida's loved ones will be watching as she descends into the water of the Oasis for a total of ten minutes. If she comes out alive then she has been fully accepted as a Guardian.
