ManaSitting at the edge of the back of her carriage Aeris looked out into the sky that was layered with dark clouds, the rain was soon to come. "Are we almost to Orchidia?" Aeris asked the carriage driver as she looked back to the front, "Actually we are right on it's edge, we got a bit more to go!" Aeris nodded and looked back up, the sky was a bit ominous but at least her travel had gone well off enough.
Sitting back into the carriage, Aeris began to relax again, closing her eyes and letting her conciousness fade out, that was until the carriage started quaking or rumbling so much that she couldn't find any peace anymore. "Driver what is wrong with the roads here?!" The Driver pulled on the strings connecting to the horses to get them to stop, "Mame it's the trees, the trees mame. They are covering up almost the entire road, horses can't run properly on these streets." Aeris sighed, she looked further ahead, "How far up is it? Orchidia by foot, how far?" Aeris asked, and then immediately clarified.
"Umm it's less than a hour's walk I believe, just follow this road straight up towards the city's center." The driver said pointing up the road after getting his thoughts in place. "Right then, best be off then. Things to do people to see. Farewell driver." Aeris said grabbing her travel bag and leaping off the carriage feet first onto the road, the road itself covered with fauna and vines, lots of vines. "Right then, off we go Aeris."
Heading down the road as the Driver pulled his horses back and began heading the other way to wherever he was going, Aeris swung her bag over her shoulders as she put her hands in her pocket, walking down the road. It had been her first time in Orchidia, eyes moving left to right she realized the buildings were old, almost ancient, to drive home to that point was the fact the buildings itself had damage and some appeared to be crumbling even as she spoke, seeing a few pieces of concreate fall down from a second story stairwell.
Getting closer to the center Aeris finally began to see people, one elderly women in particular caught her attention, she was frustrated. Seeing a old frustated lady wasn't something she tended to ignore despite the trouble it might cause her, Aeris walking up to the elderly women, her hair was dark gray and tied into a bun, oval shaped glasses dressed in a pink kimono that reminded her of Joyan wear her father spoke of, "What troubles you elder?"
And so the elderly women spoke, and oh she could do so fluently! The womens frustration lied with her home, she had loved Orchidia so much she brought a small apartment but the previous owners hadn't cleaned it leaving the mess for her, a small elderly women. It was apparently impossible to manage. "Sure, I can help you. lets go inside then." Aeris said brimming with a smile, surely a house couldn't be that bad right? right?
Well, wrong, the house was filthy and Aeris ended up having immediately anxiety and began cleanining like a mad man to the point she lost track of time as the sun was setting. The elderly women going out for groceries came back to her sparkling clean home, She offered Aeris some cookies and they said there goodbyes.
