Just as the informant had flown past Amir's cage he heard the man ask to bring back a body something he also needed Guess I'll work with him this once. Tapping the back of Extortions' heads they quickly turned around to pick up Amir so they could acquire their goods so to speak. Assuming that Amir hopped onto the back of the griffon's back along with Azure, "So Amir what's it like to be in love with your guild master?" a question that had a secondary meaning behind it. This would be the second time that he worked with someone for a job but in this case, it wasn't much of a job. "Can I count on your backup if this gets out of hand?" fighting things with no information never felt right for the informant.

As they spotted some of their first targets Azure thought about the summons he would use to subdue them given that he didn't want to damage them too much. Sigmundir pass was a location that didn't seem all that important but if the giants had any brains at all it would be a place to gather their numbers. Given that only a handful of them were in the area it was safe to say they had no intelligence.

The giants acted odd for sure but they were just about four to five meters in height which were good heights as anything bigger would be hard to get back to the guild. They didn't seem to mind the two circling above them, Extortion had started to slowly descend from the combined weight of both riders.

Amir was ready to head back inside. He did not think he was getting the chance to go on the excursion. It was a pleasant surprise when he was picked up by a guild mate. Amir took hold of the light blue eyed mage and rode along. It was his first time flying and Amir felt pretty amazed by it.

“Pretty good. We have a lot of fun and Khal is a great man. His bedroom skills could use some work.” The last sentence was said under his breath. Amir was a lot of things but he would never try to embarrass his mate. “Yes but no. At the moment my magic is unstable. I was running some. Never mind. It is besides the point. I cannot really fight at the moment but I have my value.”

Amir was looking around. He was paying close attention to the giant-like creatures. A group of mages from rush valley were fighting a small offshoot one alone. Amir pointed towards the group of four fighting. “Can you land us there as we descend? We can provide them with help. They can also help us as well since I am useless in a fight at the moment. Taking one down here we will not have to transfer them back as well. I can perform the autopsy and check them out here.” Amir gave his wishes but could only go along with one the one called Azure would decide.

Given that Azure and Amir had similar interests currently, he found it to be more beneficial to bring them along, the caged bird thought he didn't trust most of their words. Hearing that they had unstable magic was interesting, to say the least. Amir seemed like the type to lie about their magic or much of anything unless it was something he wanted to keep to himself.

While they made their descent Blu couldn't help but think about their actual strategy for this given how much mana he currently has. "Just make sure you don't overdo it or else Khalfani will never let me hear the end of it." something that was more than likely true to some extent. Watching the other mages try and hold back the titans a smile crept on his face If they die they die, his child side thought wanting to just jump into the battle. Even though Blu knows that his mana is limited taking down two shouldn't be a problem. The mature side of him wanted to do as little damage to the surroundings as possible as he didn't know just how much damage the rocky surrounding could take. "I think it would be best to keep you on Extortion until I take it down." as he dismounted and pulled his book from one of the side pouches. The sounds of spells and weapons flying through the air slowly started to fade as he focused on the Titans, What to summon first, he asked himself opening his book.

“Yeah. I can take care of myself. I am not too pressed. Just make sure you don’t get eaten.” Amir flashed the demon slayer a smile. He did not comment on staying on the mount. Worse comes to worse he would hijack it. Amir did value his life as too important.

“Now. As for the three of you. It looked like you could use some back up. Being this far from the town could not be easy.” Amir was speaking to the group of relatively young looking mages. Their gear looked subpar but they had the light of a survivor in their eyes. They looked at Amir majestically on top of the mount, star struck and filled with awe. “Do not worry we are here to help. Three of you should go help my partner. I only need one of you for a bit to fill me in on any habits you may have noticed while fighting them.”

The only girl of the group raised her hand. It was not a surprise that the woman was considered the smart one. Amir would have guessed even if she was not the men would have still gone into battle without her. It was one of the perks of being pretty. Even now Amir was able to chat as Azure fought. The three boys rushed out to help. One looked like a magic warrior with a large shield and a broadsword, another looked like the standard mage holding a staff, the last man was wearing a set of heavy knuckle equipment. The last man was actually moving the fastest.

“Anyways. Can you inform me on what you have seen battling the giants so far?” Amir wanted to start the information pumping procedure.

It was good to know that Amir wasn't going to hold him back much "I'll keep that in mind," he muttered flicking his wrist creating a 0.5-Meter Diameter magic circle in front of himself as a gazer shot up from it. Even though this was going to be his first actual fight in some time his mature half was unsure if they were able to keep up with everything going on top of show Amir what he can do. He motioned for Blob to take out the leg joints while he distracted it as it seemed like they didn't have many brain cells. Blob grabbed one by the Achilles and started to rip its way through it while the others the other the Brawler tried to copy Blob with another one that was following him.  

Finally taking out the tendon Blob proceed to liquefy itself entered the titian's body and burst through its skull with a great amount of force that its Greymatter was coming out in chunks. The number of bloodstains that were already around him was astonishing, to say the least.

Azure facepalmed as now he would need to find one that was still intact, "That's not what I said to do..." the summon was enjoying the blood and brain chunks. He motioned for the summon to try again as a giant reached down to grab him two blade-like tendrils spun around him slicing the hand to ribbons. "Hey, Amir anything important I should know? These guys are kinda creeping me out." a statement that was true as they all had disproportioned facial features.

Amir was having a steady conversation. The girl was nervous and Amir had to coax her to recall certain things. The approach of the giants was not helping her to keep her cool. The look of concern was not helping as she kept looking focused.

The sound of Azure asking him a question was enough for him to break the conversation. “Go help your party out. Stay close to us. Working together can be more beneficial to getting the job done.” Amir released her and gave her a warning.

Looking towards Azure the scholar was impressed. A summoner was a rare type of fighter. All the reading Amir had done on the subject was theoretical. This may be his first and only chance to see a summoner fight in battle. His eyes started to glow with the thirst of interest.

Shaking his head Amir cleared his sight to focus on the matter at hand. “They are creepy but so far no valid information can be gathered at hand. At least not yet. Try to give me ten minutes. I should have something by then.” Amir got off the mount and walked towards the felled Titan. He ignored the sounds of battle going on around him. “Anyone has a spare knife. I can move on to performing an autopsy.” Amir was thankful for the doctor he kept questing for back in Baska. It was the only reason he developed a mild interest in the medical sciences. Amir was given a spare knife by one of the adventurers. It was all he needed to get started.

“Cool summons by the way. Rarely get to see someone capable of doing it.” Amir threw the compliment in passing as he was cutting the titan. He started to increase his concentration on the humanoid. The sounds of the battlefield were starting to sound muffled to him. Amir was tuning it out to fully concentrate on the task at hand.

As the fighting went on the informant could feel the strain of trying to protect himself while keeping his summons together, lucky for him the giants were rather slow when it came to trying to grab things. His body had started to feel heavy and moving around had become like normal was a chore even though he could handle two summons at once but something else was draining him. "Do it in four and I'll buy you a round after this!" A joke more than a promise if anything as he more than likely wouldn't stick around for the after-party.

Blu looked over to see that his partner had started to dissect one of the targets which through him off as doing that with so many still active didn't seem smart. "YOU'RE DOING THAT NOW!?" given that he was doing the heavy lifting along with his summons he would have thought Amir would wait to start their work.

The fighters that remained had started to gather around both his summons which was a good plan if they wanted to live. With a simple gesture to his summons they now had the okay to attack at will "I won't use it unless I need to...Let's not think about that," he said as both his summons looked back at him and then charged right back into the fight. Blob and Kraken went on their rampages as their summoner made his way across the bloody landscape that was Sigmundir Passes while making sure to not stray too far away from them.

One of the half-alive bodies clung to his leg causing him to trip and send his tome flying into the air, he watched it land right next to one giant that was just laying on its back. At that same moment, he felt a sharp pain throughout his body when it finally came to him why he felt weaker from outta the blue.

Amir was focusing on making the proper cuts to the titan. Doing a field autopsy was tough. The proper materials were needed for a more in depth investigation. At the moment he was looking for a clue in the remains that he had. Amir had a knife and his brains. That was all the man had to work on. He could only recall the anatomy of various creatures he had come across.

The scholar almost cut himself in the middle of his work. His eyebrow twitched. Amir was distracted by his guildmate. “Yes. I am doing it now. Information can change the flow of battle. I would have preferred to go all in. You are lucky I know enough to help out a bit.”

Amir turned his attention to the other mages. “Listen to my instructions.” Amir started to give the party directions on how to fight. He split the girl from the group again. Her magic was purely support. He had her apply debuff support to the monsters fighting Azure. Everyone knew that support and curse magic did not work on summons. At least Amir knew better. The curses were effective in slowing down, and weakening the titans attacking Azure.

“That should be enough for you and your constructs to handle that side. I suggest you hurry it up. Her mana usage does not seem stable. She will not be able to hold on for long.” Amir had given the summoner a bit of help. He had to give the boys a battle formation. It would draw out their battle potential.

“Shielder. Pay attention to your positioning. Yes you can take the hits. What you need to do is avoid them if you can. Doing so means you need less healing. Positioning is important. You do not need to use the sword for damage as much. Use it to deflect as well.” Amir was giving advice like a war general. He was trying to keep his cool. Amir was only barely successful. He was not happy with the performance he was seeing with the trio. They did not understand the basics of a party. Their improvements were more gradual than Amir could understand.

It was another summon trying to bring itself out but handling three at once was just way too much with the current situation. The people that listened to Amir did so rather haphazardly at best though but it was to be expected when they normally don't take command from others. The situation wasn't bad or good it was more so troublesome given that all the giants were now starting to focus on Azure and less on his summons.

"You know what I'm over this..." he muttered as he kicked off the half corpses and rushed over to where he saw the book land to get end this whole thing "Sorry guys gotta do this." it wasn't that he was upset or anything but the fact that they just didn't stop coming had started to push him to his limit. Roughly three-five of them still remained from what he could see thanks to Amir's strategy, Blob had slowly started to slow down in its assault forcing Kraken to pick up the slack. Azure watched as everyone was holding their own now which was nice but a bit late.

Azure guested for both Blob and Kraken to get on both sides of him as he rummaged through the rubble to find Elem as it seemed like he would need to use it now. The summons did their best to keep the giants at bay as he searched "Amir! Get on Extortion for a second!" he wasn't really sure as to how much damage the spells from the book could do as he hadn't tested them after their initial creation. After a few minutes of looking he had finally found it opened to the exact spell, he needed to hopefully end this. The summoner quickly turned around and recalled his summons as he was going to need all power he could muster for his next move. It wasn't as though he wanted to use the tome but now would be the best time to actually do a field test of the spells within the book. This is going to be so much fun he thought trying to focus his two halves on getting this over with.

The ability of the trainees that he was working on, improved gradually and over time. It was enough to almost bring a tear to his eyes. Amir was enjoying the site of slaughter. The blood from the giants was soaking the earth. Amir wished he had proper tools to examine it but that was neither here nor there. He was happy that the ground was getting more nutrients. The trio was starting to take them down faster. The battle would have been going even better if it was all four of them together. Teamwork while they had to worry about one person was slowing down their full unity.

"Amir! Get on Extortion for a second!" Amir heard the voice from Azure and turned to look. He did not need to be told to do something multiple times. Amir had a strong urge to survive. He did not hesitate to jump back on the mount. He had to make another mental note to find his own companion and mount. The lack of options in battle would be mitigated somewhat by a partner. It was just harder to work alone.

Amir was nervous about what Azure would do with the others present. “All of you should make a strategic retreat.” It was a command he gave them. The four members tried to hobble away from the battlefield as quickly as they could. The titans were not in the way as the group was able to make a path. Amir was feeling happy about their improvement. Amir was sure if they tried to make the retreat before. Their limbs would coat the battlefield more than the blood of the titans. They had made it far enough as far as he could tell. Amir had a great doubt that anything Azure was about to do would be strong enough to hit them all.

“I am all clear. Go for whatever you need to do.” Amir yelled and gave the sign to Azure, when he felt like the others were safe enough. He was curious to see what type of ability Azure was going to release. Amir was feeling greatly interested in the potential of seeing new magic. Azure was already the first summoner he had come across. That means the man had more potential for showing stuff that Amir had never seen before. He was giving Azure his undivided attention.

The giants slowly turned their focus on to Azure as it seemed they were drawn to the largest source of magic that was being activated though it could have been a threat-level type thing. Even though he wasn't really prepared to use the tome himself it had to be done if he wanted to end this. He could still feel Blobby and Kraken watching over him which was nice but currently unwanted. Closing his eyes to focus on the spell as the encantation needed to be exact and have just enough mana dumped into it so it could work.

Extortion was rather worried about her owner given he wasn't with Amir but he couldn't handle the amount of Giants that were around though he did hope at least one would be intact. While the book was in front of him he raised his left hand towards the incoming giants, A sphere of mana had started to take form. The flow of mana was stable so once the spell was fully charged he would unleash the sphere. The explosion enveloped seemingly the whole battle area in multi-colored lights.

He slowly opened his eyes as he lay in the epicenter of the explosion surrounded by a still smoking ruble and what could only be limbs. Blu couldn't hear much of anything due to the ringing in his ears, it was like a low hum that fluctuated into different tones. "Okay, I think that's all of them..." he muttered as collapsed back to the ground exhausted from all spells. The smoke around the battlefield had started to settle when Elem had one of its flare-ups, Even though it wasn't an exact copy of the original the spells within packed even more of a punch to them.

Why does the body feel like a stack of bricks? the child side asked as they tried to make their way over to where Amir was but the feedback from the spell was more than he was expecting. The spell worked much better than he hoped but it was still something to be refined and improved upon at a later date assuming Amir didn't try and put him on the operating table.

The desire to snack was building inside of himself. Amir was pretty much fearless hanging out on the back of Azure’s Mount. He was assured of his ability to survive and flee. It lowered the pressure he was feeling from the titans. Not to mention the show Azure was putting on was entertaining enough.

“You’re doing a good job!” Amir started to give some encouragement as the titans started to focus on the fighting summoner. It was a nail biting sight to see. One man against the many, if you did not bother to count his summons. If Amir brought his popcorn he would have laid back on the griffin to watch the proceedings.

Amir could not see it. He could vaguely sense the mana in the environment moving. He could not confirm it was happening. If he was not as relaxed he would not even notice it. Amir could barely see Azure making a sphere out of his mana. It looked really cool and reminded Amir about a similar sphere he read in a book. It was fiction and called Saruto, it was a really interesting read about Samurai. Watching Azure use the sphere to destroy all the titans left him gob smacked. He did not know a summoner could actually use offensive magic like that. When he read about the type they tended to only be able to summon, it made them a weak and strong magical type at the same time.

The work was finished and Amir got back off the mount. He went to catch Azure who was like a hero. He could hear the summoner mutter some incomprehensible stuff. He just chose to ignore it. Amir would move to throw an arm of the summoner over his shoulder. “You can lean on me, you hero. You did a stellar job.”

"Amir do not tell anyone you saw me like this," he asked seeing that his body was still feeling the effects of the spell which was something that he would need to work on later. It was nice to see his guildmate had some respect for him but his current state was rather sad to look at due to his negligence. Azure whistled for his mount to come closer as he wasn't going to make Amir support him all the way to her. The ringing that had been plaguing his ears slowly started to fade out allowing him to hear some of Amir's words. Hero? a word that had never been used to describe him or his actions for that matter.

The fighters that had worked with them seemed to be in good condition give or take some mental scarring that may have been inflicted on them. As sat on his mount's back he would rest his head on the griffon's neck and turned his head to Amir "Next time you do the fighting and I'll watch." part of him was hoping that there wouldn't be a next time. Knowing how the fates like to treat him the next big disaster that would come his way would more than likely be an even bigger pain. Elem 2 had now been tested on less accepting targets but it would provide some good data.

“I do not know. You can silence my mouth with a bribe of dinner. At this point I am starving. Directing is hard work.” Amir was teasing. On the inside he was more in turmoil. The implications of what he had seen were staggering. It made Amir feel like magic was more flexible than what he was meant to believe. If he could break the bounds of what is currently possible, he could expand the limits of his own magic. Amir was really feeling a need to check Azure out. Going to dinner would kill two birds with the same rock.

Amir thought about it. “Sure. Next time I shall do all the fighting.” It was an easy promise to make. Amir did not plan on being in a bunch of fights all the time. He could hold out on fighting till his magic came back. Not to mention the odds of him getting into a fight soon with Azure right away was slim to none. “For now let us get you back to base.” Amir was glad for the mount. If he had to support the summoner till they got back, it would take them ages to make it back.

Azure hoped his earlier statement hadn't been remembered but it would seem that Amir had a rather good memory then again it would be nice to learn more about Amir and their magic situation. Today would have been a good day if he didn't have to use Elem 2 but what is done can't be undone, "Sure why not you seem like a man of your word." as he adjusted himself on the mount.

"Ya thanks, buddy." in this case he was thanking the summons that helped out as they did a bulk of the work and actually held their own rather well. We have to get stronger but also have fun at the same time. As they took off back to the guild the Summoner had started to feel his eyes grow heavy euntil he fell asleep while on the way back. The world within his mind had been the most organized it had ever been in some time, the books had been restocked in the right place and all other items stacked up in corners.
