After proving spectacularly good in handling silk and threads last time, Manager Yua of Hinoki Theater (yes, her again) had called upon her trusty Sinese assistant once again for an odd job. Though this one proved mildly different, a lot less friendly than the previous one. It did deal in the same subject but was off a whole different focus.

"You see..." She started, rather embarrassingly. To see Yua awkward about something? Don't see that every day. "Our theater holds some, meager debt." Oh. Money problems. A thought he soon discarded ran through his mind; that being, if they didn't spend so much paying random wizards in their jobs and actually recruiting proper workers, perhaps they wouldn't have gotten in this bind in the first place. Then again, he was on the receiving end most of the time and losing out a source of income would certainly prove hindering. "Our prop team still requires a few more materials from our resident provider, but we cannot approach them like this. As such..."

She handed him a letter, sealed neatly with the theater's emblem. "Please deliver this to Neru." At the mention, Jan Ren's eyes lit up. The theater was doing business directly with Neru? Thread Mage, THE Neru?? She was so famous that even someone as uninterested in characters as he was, knew of her persona and occupation. Needless to say he was rather excited to meet the respected lady, given specific instructions to wait out until she signed whatever the paper inside held. Through his eagerness however, the Sinese couldn't shake off the teeniest of irking feelings as he made his way towards the establishment. Crossing through several shops and buildings down the same lane until he finally reached his destination. It was time to meet yet another (questionable) celebrity!

It has come to the point in which Neru's reputation had exceeded her work, with several mysteries surrounding her work and lifestyle floating around the general census. Her chase after fortune was renowned enough to tell ones to beware of attempting a scam, with stories like this and that disappearing overnight or establishments entirely destroyed. Because this world lacks a sensible trial system -- what with numerous high-bounty people running around, it's easy to see how she got away with it all while still putting up a solid facade of playing by the rules. That said, Hinoki theater wasn't in a state that warranted destruction, was it? That debt was up for negotiations if Yua had the gall to send in an aid with just a letter. ...Right?

"Hello..." As he walked inside, not yet introducing himself. Jan Ren laid his eyes on the interior's design. Everything it had to offer was basically threads and cloth of all kinds. A staggering amount to inspect, some even imported from Sin -- as he could tell from just a glance. This truly was one of the most impressive collections he had ever seen. A few machines around for sewing, cutting and other purposes of which he wasn't aware. Clearing his throat as he'd realized he came to a halt, the Sinese regrouped as he continued; "I'm here from Hinoki Theater, I've come delivering a letter." He declared.

Despite there being not a soul in the room it appears, a certain voice soon answered his call. "Ahh, Hinoki Theater's props team, correct?" From seemingly out of one of the thread rolls appeared the very woman he came to see: Neru, in the flesh. "It's about time! Do come in, would you like some tea?" Apparently in good mood, the young wizard couldn't help but feel like something was going to go terribly wrong.

After all... This envelope he received... ...Had absolutely no bulk to it. Could Yua be attempting to avoid--...?

Treated to some high-quality green tea regardless as he was led to the office just above the workshop, Jan Ren couldn't help but stare at the seamstress. Even for someone as perve-- Women-idolizing like himself, this one was on a whole different level. He would even daresay Neru would rival Alisa. Age gap taken into account and everything. "I've started thinking about how your team has been due for too long, really!" She jested, an eerie tone in her words as the Sinese's eyes widened slightly; trying to keep proper composure as he slowly sipped on his tea. This Matcha must have been the best he had tasted in the city so far -- but the lingering pressure made it taste rather... Bad.

"Y-Yes..." He replied, half-heartedly; though somehow keeping his cool on the outside. "It has been quite some time, hasn't it." Deep down, Jan Ren realized he was getting swept into Neru's pace not because of her apparent welcoming nature -- which was surely as well-practiced as his own professional smile, if not more; but because of the sense something would go wrong. "I do hate to cut our chat short, boya... But I am quite busy and I'm certain you have other places to be at as well." She hinted, her gaze thinning some as she stared the Sinese dead in the eye. "Well?"

This is it... Alright then. "Of course, Miss Neru." He consented, handing her the letter right there. The woman calmly reached and grabbed the envelope, opening it to find a piece of paper inside. "...Hmm?" Her eyes scanned through the contents as slowly her expression turned a lot less amused. "(Yep... As I figured.) I know it's not much coming from me, bu--"

"Quiet." With a swipe of her hand, Jan Ren's mouth was muffled by a tightened, pink piece of clothing; borderline crossing his nose as well, thankfully still allowing him to breathe. If this is how she reacted to just the contents, then...

"...You've got some nerve." Oh no.

Clearly a bad situation. Neru's expression turned irritated as her gaze shifted from the contract to the messenger -- hand opened as several other threads and cloth soon wrapped around his entire body in a solid bind; confining him to the chair he was presented with. "Not only do you remain late with your pay for over 6 months... But you expect me to let it go like this??" She scolded. The grip upon his body tightened as her the Sinese watched her fingers slowly clench onto the air. "Unacceptable. I've held on for long enough for Yua... But she should know better than to try avoiding paying up with me!"

Between her demeanor, bloodlust and the bind inflicted upon him, Jan Ren felt like he had stepped into a poisonous spider's web; simply acting as pray waiting to be eaten. "I know." She continued, still awfully irritated. For someone like Neru to break out of composure like that didn't seem very characteristic, speaking to the severity of her seriousness when it came to her loans. "I should make an example. Haven't done that in quite a while so I can only guess, my partners are getting lenient. I'll demolish your whole team... Starting with you."

Ah, there it is.
True Black Widow.

"Mmfh--!!" Trying to resist, the Sinese wriggled around in the binding of cloth as Neru slowly tightened her grip further, the threads digging into his skin and pressuring at his chest enough to interrupt his breathing. He had to break away. "D'AAH!!!" In a sudden display of power, the young man tore through the clothing bind with both arms raised to his sides; though to no avail as the woman simply weaved the torn pieces back to bind the boy; using her free hand to form a drill from one of her other cloth rolls. "You're surprisingly strong. I guess Yua knew there'd be a struggle. Tough luck for her..."

"Wait, wait!!" Unfortunately, Jan Ren didn't have much time to free himself this round as Neru swiped her hand; the drill spinning at ridiculous speed and slamming against the young wizard's chest; piercing the cloth bind and -- not getting through much more. "What??" Visibly surprised, Neru's expression turned even fouler as her concentration continued. Though with his binding now undone, the Sinese could move freely. His hand reached to grab at the drilling piece, pulling it away from his chest as the surrounding threads finally loosened completely; revealing his darkened skin. "You can't pierce me." He declared.

In a solid stomp, he made the whole building shake. "W-What are you doing!!?" More pieced of cloth and thread moved around at great speed to try restrain the boy, but to no avail as he now perceived the woman's movements. Dodging several streams, he placed his hands on the ground as a magic circle appeared beneath his form. "Right, we're on the second floor." He started; raising his eyes to stare at Neru from over the desk. "I really don't want to do this but I can't just let this go if you're willing to harm my team. Please, sign the contract. Or we'd have this place buried underground pretty fast." His threat was almost hollow; speaking to Jan Ren's lack of experience in the department. However fact that he was an Earth wizard and the building's material were under his command, remained true.

And the woman realized that well. "Alright, alright!" She hastened to agree, whipping out a brush and dipping it in ink; hurrying to sign the contract. "Here! Take this back to Yua." She ordered, practically throwing the paper at the messenger as all irregular movement in the establishment ceased. Threads and cloth dropped to the floor as the building stabilized as if never shook. "Tell her this debt has been forewent... And,"

"Don't come back here. Ever again." Oof. Scary.
