Steel

Steel was not wearing his vanguard’s armor but he was wearing his earrings, ring and was also equipped with the mythical hammer Mjolnir well the hammer was resting in front of him. Sitting in a meditative position on one of the mountaintops in the Sieghart mountain range Steel looked out over a gray landscape. The clouds were so dark they were almost blacker than a ravens feathers. In the distance it looked as if the sky was breaking apart, as upside down mountains of clouds drew downwards like large strokes of a paintbrush. It was raining but the rain had not reached Steel yet.

He had been sitting here for a long while now. To some it might seem as if he was a sage waiting for clarity but that was not the case. In fact Steel had been reaching inside of himself mentally. He had been trying to draw out and form something with this new mana that was inside him. He was unsure as to what he would do with it but a thought of a forcefield that allowed him to see things that were invisible to the naked eye came to mind. This thought or idea as some called it came to be probably because of the fight that Steel had had with Erebus. The fight might have ended differently had Steel been able to see or at least somehow sense his enemies location.

Steel imagined a large electromagnetic field extending with him as the epicenter. Within the field he would sense the distance from himself to anything that was within the field. And he would know the distance perfectly. Whilst Steel was focusing on this in the distance thunder crashed within the clouds as they made their way closer to Steels location. He started feeling the rain drops as they moved through the field. He knew the distance to each and every single raindrop and were it not because of the fact that they moved so fast that then he could probably have made a strike at them.

Due to the fact that he felt the distance to everything within the field it was as if silhouettes formed to create the more substantial objects. Such as the hammer Mjolnir. The raindrops were at first a hindrance to Steel’s senses and made him feel a bit seasick/nauseated but after a while he started to get used to the constant feeling of knowing the distance to everything even when everything was moving so fast.

Had the field been any bigger than what it was it would probably have been a bigger hassle to grasp the workings of the magic but it wasn’t any larger than a 10 meter diameter with Steel as the epicenter. While that was big enough it wasn’t so huge as to where Steel would know the location and movement of every person within an entire city. As the rain slowly stopped going from full on monsoon to a light trickle Steel slowly stood up only to be greeted by the red wyvern looking at him as if he had been stupid to sit around in the rain and get cold.
