Akihiko
Akihiko stared at the dark, dreary sky above him. The clouds had no definite shape and expanded as far as the eye could see. It was going to rain, but this didn’t upset Akihiko. A change in weather would be perfect considering how hot it had been lately. He glanced down at the blade which he had used to sever a lizard’s head from its body. The reminiscing thought of Hephaestus’ chicken soup made his mouth water – he’d kill for a bowl right about now. Lately, his diet only consisted of lizards and other small creatures for days on end. “Fuck that,” Akihiko said as he tossed the lizard aside.

He decided to make his way back to the village he had saved. Surely they would welcome their hero and treat him to some food. With that thought in mind, Sterling approached the village gates and noticed that the guards weren’t there. “That’s odd.” he thought to himself as he cautiously walked toward the gates. He took a peek through its crack and witnessed some sort of commotion going on in the main square. “You’ve got to be kidding me,” Akihiko said annoyingly as he kicked the gates down with force. Immediately, all the villagers directed their attention to Akihiko – rocks in their hands. “What the hell is going on here?” he questioned. The villagers grew quiet and held their heads down in embarrassment. As they stepped aside to form a path, in the main square stood a werewolf. Unlike the last, this one was way bigger and more ferocious-looking. A random from the crowd yelled, “Hero! Do us the honor of slaying this wretched beast. His kind isn’t welcome here anymore.” Soon after, the rest of the villagers joined in unison and shouted out their hateful remarks. Then, they continued to throw rocks at the werewolf hoping that that would run it off. The werewolf didn’t as much move a finger; instead, he stood there and took everything being thrown at him. It was clear that this monster had other intentions, but the villagers were too blinded by hate to see that.

“Why don’t we all just calm down?” Akihiko suggested. A rock flew past the werewolf and hit him right in the head. The crowd started to move in on the werewolf, it had seemed they were going to take things into their own hands. “Wait! Stop!” Akihiko shouted. He needed to break up the crowd in order to get to the lone wolf.

-Do not fret the Night-

"Together, we will arise with the morning light."

A commotion could be heard easily in the village from where they were on the outskirts, settled in on the large open deck of the  wooden and metal airship. "Are you unwavering in your wish to company me?" Aegis asked the small one who was clinging to him. Rashida nodded her head so quickly one would normally be concerned about whiplash. He let out a sigh, not out of contemptment, but out of defeat of keeping her behind. Theo quickly but are early wafted over towards the duo, and after a quick pat from Aegis, slinked underneath his cloak and firmly attached himself as normal. "Hmmm. Rain seems to become a certainty." he stated, looking up at the clouded night sky, before turning back to Rashida "I will wait for you, grab something suitable for it."

After a few minutes, they were ready to head out, and departed the Airship down the cold metallic ramp, and into the forestry and dirt below. They were not very far at all, as they could see the lights from the houses and torches, and it would not take them long to get into the town. After an additional minute of walking, they were entering the main part of the settlement. It seems that a great number of civilians of the town had gathered in the town square ahead of them. They appeared to be surrounding something humanoid, but wouldn't recognize it for what it was until he got closer. As soon as it was clear that a werewolf was in the middle of town, Aegis' gaze aligned and never left the creature. However the creatures stance seemed to be not of a combative one, not to mention that it seemed more damaged then the civilians around it. As he continued walking and was progressively getting closer, many of the villagers were startled, and began opening a path through. It will be hard to determine if this was through respect for his achievements, or his unnerving presence, but none the less it had results.

"Lycan, why dare you show presence in this place?"

The rain began pouring down on the village as the villagers rushed the werewolf. “Shit, I’m too late. My words aren’t getting through to them.” Akihiko said as he struggled to tackle his way through the crowd. Truly, he understood how the villagers must’ve felt but this was uncalled for. Just as he was about to give up hope, Akihiko felt a chilling sensation throughout his body. Apparently, he wasn’t the only one that had felt this feeling. Everyone around him had frozen over out of fear and the commotion had ceased. This death-like aura was coming off of something or someone behind the crowd, and it was steadily approaching. The crowd began to break out into a path once more, but this time with haste.

A tall, skeletal figure clad in armor approached the werewolf. The villagers were practically petrified at this point, and so was Akihiko. He fell to his knees and started to pray as what had seemed to be his soul vacated his body. “Lord, forgive me for I have sinned. I tried to sneak into King Reign’s daughter’s chamber during my stay in Crocus. And now, you have sent Death himself after me.” he cried. Sterling never thought that this would be the way that he died, nevertheless, he prepared himself for the inevitable.

“Lycan, why dare you show presence in this place?” Death said. Akihiko let out a scream with one eye open. After realizing nothing had happened to him, he rushed out of the line-up and faced Death directly. “So, you’re not here to take my life?” he stated in relief. This must’ve been some sort of sick, twisted joke. He was fully prepared to say goodbye to this life, even though it’s been a short one. Sterling took the time to catch his breath as he awaited Death’s answer.

-Do not fret the Night-

"Together, we will arise with the morning light."

As he got closer, he lightened up a little bit in his stature as what looked to be the head of the operation called him over.
As he continued forward, the initial shock of the presents seem to pass over the individuals in the crowd, as they had turned and faced to it was and recognized it as the individual who had saved them earlier from another werewolf that had entered town. All but one man, who seemed to remain on the ground. "Hmmm?" He tilted his chin down to get a better view of the man below him, while having a slightly inquisitive look like someone would if they had an eyebrow to raise. "First, I must request you kindly not to refer to me as such. Secondly, my main concern is the second lycanthrope I have seen in this town today,.". As the lights in his eyes refocus and regain contact with their original target. While soft lights were seen when he was looking down at the man currently collecting dust, the intensity had flared towards the werewolf as he slowly pushed forward towards the creature. Suddenly, he stopped mid-step, and looked down under his cloak. After a short nod, a comparatively small girl detached herself from Aegis and raised the cloak and came out from under it like one would revealing a costume. The pale and small girl seemed to have an intensity in her personality that was almost as vibrant as the orange hair that covered her head. She quickly walked the short distance towards the man that was still on the ground, and just beamed a small smile while offering him her hand. She did not say a word, but kept it there till she could help him up from the cold and humidity dampened ground.

While she was doing this, he continued forward a step, that seemed a much greater distance than normal due to his height, towards the werewolf, questioning him more. "So? Why do you come here? The last to enter the settlement did not fare very well."
Clearing his face and head of the debris that remained from the local townspeople's barrage, he turned his head to face the people that would even give him the time to speak. "I... I did not come for a fight..." he got out while breathing heavily. "I just came... to speak with Cameron.". A second intrigued look came across Aegis is face as he prodded further. "Oh? What business do you have with the elder?"

Akihiko

The skeletal figure spoke a few words and continued toward the werewolf, practically ignoring Sterling. His words were straight to the point and stern, which only made him creepier. A young girl with orange hair had revealed herself from his cape and offered Akihiko a hand. The girl let out a shy smile and helped Akihiko to his feet and in return he patted her on the head out of appreciation. ”You’re really nice unlike your scary friend over there.” he said. Akihiko met up with the skeletal figure and the wounded werewolf after overhearing their conversation. Jokingly he said, “Are you all bones in there?” as he knocked on his armor. Regardless of his answer, he continued. “The poor thing’s covered with bruises. He said he means no harm, but I doubt the villagers are willing to listen to reason. Don’t you think it best that we take this conversation somewhere more private?” Akihiko suggested.

With that being said, Sterling took hold of the werewolf and escorted him to Cameron’s house. Frankly, he was in a far worse state than the werewolf since all he’s been doing lately was pushing his body to its limit. Maybe this would be the perfect time for him to rest up a bit. “A-are you the one that killed the rogue wolf?” the werewolf asked. His question took Akihiko by surprise considering that event happened days ago. “I killed one a few days ago, but you have bigger things to worry about right now.” he said as the villagers eyed them down. The more they traversed the crowd the more intense the stares became until eventually, everyone returned to whatever it is they were doing.

Akihiko knocked on Cameron’s door and waited for him to answer. ”Where have you brought me?” the wolf questioned. ”Well that’s an odd question. You wanted to see Cameron, right?” Akihiko said as the door opened. Before Cameron could ask any questions, Akihiko forcefully invited himself in and waved at the skeletal figure to follow along.

-Do not fret the Night-

"Together, we will arise with the morning light."

"Not just bones, but including them? Yes." Aegis followed behind them into the building, making sure Rashida made it inside before closing the door. Cameron motions for the werewolf to sit in a comically small by comparison chair next to a wooden table. The Elder seems very comfortable with the lycan somehow, and began checking him over. "Achak, where have you been? After the recent attacks we were starting to lose hope."
"Amarok has..." he starts, be looks over to the four others in the room, then back at Cameron. "Go ahead, I trust them. They stopped the rampagers." As he begins to explain, Aegis took Theo off of his back, and motioned towards the werewolf. The cute little ball of fluff slowly meandered in the air over to the wolf. Amidst a puff of dandy lion like fluffs, the wolf's wounds began to heal. "T-thank you kindly." He said eyeing the lich every once in awhile, whom only had a on guard appearance, but whose expression was more akin to interest. "My brother, Amarok, had grown tired with our compliance with the humans in the region." His demeanour started to lean more on the panicked side. "You must help, he challenged me for right to lead. I don't know how, but during the challenge my movements were slowed. I don't know how, but I think he had poisoned something that I had eaten earlier. He won the right. If he isn't stopped, they will attack and kill everyone here, none of them will listen to me!" He thinks quickly before turning to the others in the room quickly. "You two... You to have defeated them. That bears you the right to speak and possibly even challenge Amarok." As he voice turns to a more pleading tone, "I have done all I can to keep the peace with the lone's who wish to break free from us, but I cant any longer. Please do this, if not for the ones who want to live in this peace, for the ones who live here in the village!"

Aegis walked over to the wolf now bowing his head, stopping right directly in his path. "Are you decided on this? If not just your brother, there might be more casualties. I give you my word and assure you, they won't be intentional, have you resolved yourself to that?" "Yes, please, just save as many as you can." The lich brought himself back up to full height, now brimming with non-malicious pride. Showing no signs of malice, one could almost see the blue magic that covered and flowed through form a small smile. "Very well! Penumbral Guard shall undertake your task!" Rashida, who had not been moving very much up to this point started bouncing slightly as she seems to be the gateway for the feelings of her caretaker. Theo also floated back and connected to his back as they were preparing to begin.
