Dawncliff Mine was the location they were heading to today. They just had to receive the notification that one of the more wealthy people in the region had put a request out for people willing to scout through at the mine and prospect for very high density regions of the mine. Luckily the mine had mostly been cleared out, and he was free to work with his own devices. Luckily for him, he also had the current gift of night vision, which made scouring deeper parts of the mine even easier without having to worry about bringing a flame light source.

Since Aegis and Rashida were there already, they decided to take a stop by at the base camp outside and find out more information before he began heading inside. The camp was a relatively small settlement, mostly featuring a few huts and tents for the current workers and areas for processing the various minerals and ores coming out of the large mountains side. The large Airship came to settle down and land, making sure to stay outside the settlements so that not to cause a massive disruption to the already busy workers. While Rashida was not going to come down into the mine with him, he wanted her to at least be around some other friendly people. Well she was able to see and talk to a few people while in Penumbral Guard, he hoped this would cultivate her social relations at least a little. It has been quite a long time, almost a year and a half, since she began following him around as a small dependant. Aegis did not mind this too much, but was worried that she was missing out on a great many things, and wanted her to enjoy things as she could. The other thing that was a bit of a concern in his mind was that she had not spoken to others once.

Ever since they first met on that day in Crocus, she had and continues to speak to him when they're in private or alone, but has not talked with others yet. On his mind he knew what she had probably gone through before him finding her, so he tried not to press the issue too much, but he always had this in his mind.

After landing the airship in the trees just outside of the encampment, he had go ahead and grab the things he required for this quest. "Are you ready?" he asked Rashida with out turning around, but looking over his shoulder. An audible *plop* was immediately heard after as she placed her stuff down beside his. "Good. Did you make sure to grab anything you might need?"
After a short nod and smile, she grabbed her things and quickly made her way down ramp onto the grass below them. It was hard to make out, but the ever stoic lich made out of small chuckle, before lifting Theo onto his back. He placed the small cotton ball beneath his cloak, as was a usual occurrence for the pair. Not only good to hide his trusted companion from sight, it was a way of keeping him safe and unnoticed in case he was needed and the time arose. After he was latched on, Aegis started to make his way off the ship and down the ramp and onto the soft and tame ground below the large airship.

Luckily the niceness, and pleasantness, of the weather and the day had travelled with them in their flight and persisted until now. Now down the crown together, they started making their way into the miners encampment, and to look for the head of the operation that they were tasked to deal with.

In the communication he had received, the local miners were not too happy with their current conditions, and might prove to be an issue. Aegis hoped, and firmly believed, not that this would not be that much of an issue, but he could deal with i've been in such a way that there would not be any altercations. Not only to make the ends of his words easier, but having your workers aggravated with you is not necessary the best recipe for a flourishing business model. Not only that, but he wanted to make sure that he didn't have to have any altercations with them either, because he wanted his job to go over as peacefully as possible. Combat with the local workers, in his eyes, is not the best way to initiate a relationship with anyone, let alone the people showing you a dangerous location.

It took them a few minutes to walk into the camp from where the Airship landed, and when they got there they came upon a site that they relatively expected to see. There seem to be about 20 people or so running around delivery large crates filled with various types of ore, and about 10 others doing various tasks around the campsite including cleaning, logistics, and a large amount of other menial tasks. As they came towards the campsite into view of the others, they started getting very odd side looks, or staring glances. Unsure about if this was due to them not being locals, or Aegis' current unorthodox visage, he motioned for Rashida, he said "Stay close to me, this might become tenebrous." As she was walking she sped up her pace, and moved her walking direction closer to his, and upon intercepting, he held his hand out to have her beside yet behind him.

As he got closer, he lightened up a little bit in his stature as what looked to be the head of the operation called him over.

"Greetings good sir, you must be the one sent by Daniel Reyes. A little bit on the early side, but I can appreciate that."
"I always appreciate people appearing early rather than being dilatory, so it's only natural I would do the same." "Aye, that is a good way to see things. Are you familiar with the mine at all?" the man questioned Aegis, now seeming a little surprised from the child behind him poking her head out."And who is this tiny one?" he looked at Aegis while having a raised eyebrow "You didn't steal her did you?". "Nothing of the sort. This is Rashida." He retorted at the assumption. As he mentioned her name to the stranger, she ducked behind him underneath the cloak where Theo still was attached. But after bringing his arm under the cloak and giving the child a head pat, she beamed out a smile. "I see. Well, I guess we should head to work." "I agree. So where exactly in the mine are we investigating for minerals and ore?" "See, that's the tricky part. We need you further down the mine, but it's very difficult as the mine isn't the most secure at that depth. I know that sounds bad, but we need someone to go down there and prospect the local area." Aegis put down the items that he had brought with him from the ship. Several lacrima lights, and a few other small hooks and spikes we're also found. "Is there any specific direction or objects that I'm looking for? Or shall I reports all anomalies that I find and deem of import?" "Any ore or mineral that you find that isn't of the standard Rock of the mines walls."

He started walking over to the mine entrance with the tools opened from the box he brought. "Alright, I shall begin my work. Take care of her, or I'll have your head." he said only half jokingly as he waved back to her.
