The sun was high in the sky on the beautiful springtime morning, nary a cloud in sight of the magnificent Domus Flau: an arena as old as the capital city itself. Built at the summit of a nearby mountain the Domus had stood idle, only being used for the occasional fight between training mages looking to strengthen their own abilities. Never before has it been used for something as grand as the event today. The Grand Magic Games: a tournament featuring every guild in Fiore. A chance for every guild mage to showcase their abilities, and the strength of their guild. Every seat was occupied, as the public waited for the first fight to begin. The arena itself,  a circle of 100 meters diameter with marble flooring, was watched over by four warriors: Hercales, Shaka Zulu, Miyamoto Musashi and Beowulf. Four of the legendary Nine Heroes, each with their glorious weapon immortalised in stone beside them, eager to bare witness to the power of Fiore. Both contestants will be instructed to walk towards the center of the ring, stopping in their tracks once both are an equal distance from the center and 15m apart. The fight will then be started via the sound of a blast from the referee.

"And now for the new kids on the block. Harper Vivica and Mugen Heikou, representing Blue Pegasus and Daeva Eye respectively. We don’t have much information to go with these two, but that doesn’t mean this won’t be an interesting match to witness. For all we know, the two big names of the future generation are starting their stories right here, right now."

Harper
This was it for Harper. This was her first time opening herself up to the world as a guild member of Blue Pegasus. Like the speaker said, she wasn't known by the public at all, but she hoped that this would get her known. She didn't want to just be the pretty girl. She wanted to be seen as someone capable. That meant that she was going to do her best. Though, not just for herself, but also for her guild, her family, and the bullies who thought she was weak. She was going to prove that she was worth it, and the world was going to see that to be true.

All of this didn't mean that she wasn't nervous, though. All of the talk about proving the bullies wrong, and proving herself and her family right made her feel anxious. She felt as her hands fiddled around with each other, trying to remove any stress she had before, but they didn't seem to do much besides make her even more nervous. She wondered what would happen if she had lost. Would the bullies from school laugh at her, or would the audience. Would she have to go into hiding forever, because no one trusted her to do anything sufficient? These thoughts filled her head as she walked out onto the field.

Harper was wearing her normal attire that day, with a sunset style kimono that had warm colors fading into each other. Her hair was in a beautiful braid that laid upon her left shoulder, as orange and white flowers ran through the bread. Around her feet were wooden sandals. The outfit showed a lot of the Joyan culture, but the colors were definitely Stellan. They were warmer than traditional japanese colors, which made it the perfect combination of cultures for Harper. After all, if she was going to do something so public, she was going to make sure that her history was shown.

Looking around the arena, Harper became even more intimidated by the structure of it all. Not to mention the insane amount of people that overflowed the area. However, she just smiled her way through it all, hoping that her natural charm would get them to cheer for her. After all, that sort of look would be a whole lot better than the one she wanted to put on. Then again, her beauty was what made people believe she was weak. After many of these contradictions, Harper was startled to see that she was in her designated spot, and in front of her, her opponent was as well. She took in a deep gulp as she waved with a smile towards her opponent, hoping that they would give a little gesture back at her. Even though this was a battle for reputation, its not like they couldn't have fun...right?

Mugen Heikou
Mugen would hereby be standing before the opponent declared behind him. Under such context one would consider this to be disrespectful, but Mugen saw no disrespect in such a gesture. Mugen simply wanted to play and such a position was a proper utilization in his strategy to ensure his victory. It would take some time for Mugen to be able to reach said position, however, and such a position would strictly not be such a sudden transmission into place. She would, at this time, be precisely the required distance between himself and the opponent, both having entered from the east and west ring of the arena, with Mugen being on the west hand, and thereby, left hand side of the arena if you were to sit south where the one-of-the-who-what-whatevers of the 999 statues was placed.. During such an occasion Mugen would be barefoot and incredibly dirty and ragged as his mom would beat him shortly before entering and he would lose his footwear in the process of running away to save himself from her tyrannical wrath.

Her opponent would wave and smile at her, oddly enough, but that was only when she properly came into her preplanned placement in the arena. Prior to such an occurrence Mugen herself would have entered the arena some moments before. Skipping backwards in colorful, oversized, and somewhat torn clothing that hindered no movement, and allowed her body the necessary air flow to breathe. Her feet dirty, but gripping calmly and strongly to the marble floor to ensure she would not slip and or lose her footing as a result of her frolicking. Due to the size of the arena it would take Mugen quite some time to reach such a position in the stage because she was super-duper slow by societal standards because she couldn’t afford the stat points otherwise. As she frolicked forward at such a dull pace it would take it several seconds to start making any proper progress to reach the center of the stadium, as she had not at this time, and was partially, maybe, a little… just barely late to reaching the arena entrance on her side. She did not know what this meant for her opponent, as she could have been there waiting already, but she did not care, and would continue to frolic and skip backwards for an unprecedented amount of time.

She would be going incredibly, incredibly slowly, stalling her steps as she skipped backwards, and spinning all the time. ”MUH MAMA BEATS ME; MA MAMA BEATS ME! SOMEBODY CALL CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES, SHE’S A BIG BIG BIG FAT MEANIE AND SHE’S FAT AND SHE BEATS ME.” Mugen would chant as soon as she stepped backwards in the arena and started skipping and spinning at her dull pace. Her clothes were torn and ripped, but were proper for the situation all the while her shorts barely went past the mids of her thighs because they were torn apart during the spankings. As a result she could not carry anything in her pockets and she could have really gone for, like, a lollypop or something.

Mugen would scream and shout at an exasperated and quick pace whilst her movement did not allow her to reach the center of the stage, at least the allocated distance away from it as she was requested to reach, in the time for her dialogue to be accomplished, and as such prior to reaching 792 inches to her spot she would be able to yell out three more sentences.

”I LUV MY MOMMY THO. SHE FEEDS ME CANDIES AND GIBS ME BACC SCRATCHES. DUN TAKE ME AWAY FROM HER, BUT MAYBE INVESTIGATE THE GUILD BECAUSE SOME THINGS JUST AIN’T RIGHT WIT DAT WOMAN” She would scream in capitalization. Utilizing her playful mannerisms and exhibit her loyalty to her mama and her guild by attempting to get country resources utilized in investigation their misfortunes to show the world that nothing, is in fact wrong with the woman, and that the guild is a beacon of hope for all females within it, and allow the world to see it for what it truly is. Mugen emphasized on this by ensuring that she would win her battle in the tournament with her bare hands and make her mommy proud as a result. Hoping that they could get an audience with whoever first place got you an audience with. She wanted to play with them, like, really bad.

In her distance after providing such a spectacle and laying waste to the foundation that was her mother’s pride, Mugen would begin to twirl on her right foot, in sloppy spinnies, and maintain her balance and footwork through sheer willpower and determination. Mommy would make her stand on one leg for hours at a time while grounded and she took a liking to spinning around. There was little more to do at this moment and Mugen would have already taken an exceedingly decent amount of time to perform these actions, but she was unfaltered due to the rules and regulations of the tournament. No one could touch her and nothing was on the table until she took her predestined position in front of her opponent, and she had to yet to do so at this time. As such she would twirl and face south and put her hands beside her hips and stare seemingly at the audience, but truly at the big bad statue thing that were super important and improperly described that without context you would think was an actual person. Her face smiling with joy and delight as she took her right hand, placed her index finger below her right eye and approximately upon her tattoo, and pulled the skin down while sticking her tongue out. Making odd eye movements and using her left hand to make even odder, and in some ways, inappropriate hand gestures.

The big bad meanies that were super important based on the space they occupied were too serious looking, and Mugen did not like that, and she was kind of digging maybe trying to steal one of them after the tournament just to assert her dominance. This went on for some seconds before her composure was regained and she twirled around again, but never once in this situation turned to directly face the east side of the arena, and especially not long enough for her to be able to notice and or put eyes on her opponent, because she didn’t care. She would notice the GIANT STATUE though cuz it was pretty big. None of this mattered because it was just some silly tournament game that she would play, and probably lose if she were to advance due to her intensely lacking inabilities to do anything positive with her life, as her mother expresses near daily, and lose as the opponents became more and more magicky and powerful. Mugen was purely in this because her mother forced her and beat her to join, and she really wanted that participation award just to flex on the lowly audience that themselves couldn’t revel in such delicacy.

Fearing disqualification due to her stalling, despite nothing of note being in any rule books provided for this tournament, Mugen would go on, thereby standing before his opponent.
